Raspberry Suite Color Challenge #7

Edited: Please click on the photo to see it larger because for some reason blogger is publishing everything all washed out, but when you click to view the photo larger, the colors are more true to life. Anyone else having this problem?
Here is another version of the picture. It is better, but still washed out. What’s up blogger?
Scroll down for more photos! 🙂

I am in love with this color challenge. Could these colors be any more gorgeous? And can you believe these flowers came from Dawn’s garden?! Do you think she would let me live in her garden? 😉

Here is my card! I call it: using “stuff that I just bought from the recent Papertrey Ink release that I desperately wanted to use” card :).

This card is a little out of my element in that it’s actually not cutesy! Amazing! I had so much fun making this card. I was having trouble getting inspired and this challenge helped!
The two flowers are cut using Kristina’s spring flower designer cuts. I love her kits! I am sad she isn’t making anymore for now. I used PTI’s new text background basics and stamped it in raspberry fizz ink on rasp. fizz card stock for a tone on tone look. The button is a spring moss PTI button. I love how shiny it is! I used a pop dot in between the two flowers. I like all the dimension!
I used the text backgrounds on the ripe avocado piece on the bottom and clear heat embossed it. I seriously love this set! Way to go PTI! That ribbon was from my stash (most of which was given to me by my dear friend Jasmine), and it matches perfectly! How weird is that?! I had to use it!
The happy birthday sentiment is from the new PTI bird watching set. I really like the font in that set. I stamped it in raspberry fizz ink on the spring moss background.
That grand flourish is from another new PTI set (did I go crazy on this last release, or what?!). I stamped it in versamark as I don’t have a spring moss ink pad. I wanted that tone on tone look again, and versamark did the trick! I like how it looks like it might be the flower’s leaves.

So I am trying to be more “professional”, and I am going to start adding my supplies at the bottom of my posts. This might be a bit difficult because I use a lot of “found objects”, meaning I rip stuff off of presents that I get and re use it :). Hey, I am going green (and cheap!). How else can I afford to go crazy on PTI releases?! 🙂 So, here is my first attempt!

Have an amazing day,
kelly marie
