you make my heart melt

I can’t stop Moxie-Fabbing! I am totally into this old country thing! This time I decided to go for the folk art look. I think this rustic snowflake stamp from Paper Source is a perfect fit!
This might be my best white embossing job ever. Normally I get excess somewhere and have little white specks all around. Woo! Let’s hope I keep this up :). Then I decided to use this sentiment for the pun again. Melting, snowflakes, etc. Cheesy, yes. Makes me smile, yes. 🙂

Card stock: Neenah Paper Environment (desert storm)
Stamps: Paper Source (rustic snowflake), Kim Hughes (heart warmers)

Ink: Versamark, Stampin’ Up (wild wasabi)

Embossing powder: Whisper (sea foam white)
Buttons: Papertrey Ink (pure poppy)
Twine: Papertrey Ink (rustic cream)

it’s Christmas time

So I did another version on this card below also for the 2S4Y challenge and for the Moxie Fab Christmas in the Old Country Challenge. As I said before, I love the Moxie challenge, but my old country is Cuba, so it is hard to relate! Let’s hope I got it sort of right ;).
This time I went more literal with the sketch. I decided to get that “folk art” feel with my faux Basic Grey wall paper. I just had to use this fancy frame from Hambly. It is so cool!
This card is really busy compared to what I normally do, but it’s really fun to step out of the box, and I do love the patterns of the Basic Grey paper! I did another pun again on this card because, well, I can’t help it! haha! Thanks for looking at two clock cards, I hope I didn’t make you too cuckoo! 🙂

Card stock: Neenah Paper Environment (desert storm), Recollections (light blue)
Patterned paper: Basic Grey (eskimo kisses), Hambly (frame wallpaper)
Stamps: A Muse (cuckoo clock), Technique Tuesday (start me up quincy), My Sentiment’s Exactly (multi script)

Ink: Versamark, Stampin’ Up! (wild wasabi, real red)

Glitter: Martha Stewart (crystal)
Punch: EK Success (embossed scallop)
Ribbon: out of a jar on my desk 😉
Embossing powder: Whisper (sea foam white)

Have an amazing day,

time for holiday cheer

This card is for the 2S4Y challenge and for the Moxie Fab Christmas in the Old Country Challenge. Now, I love the Moxie challenge, but my old country is Cuba, so it is hard to relate! So I really used her images as inspiration, and boy is there a lot of inspiration there! I love me some Moxie Fab! 🙂

I decided to use the cuckoo clock and do a punny Christmas greeting. I thought the felt was “old world” too. I just funked up the colors a little. The little candy border on the bottoms seems “old country” too. It’s so cute! I did a different take on the 2S4Y challenge. Instead of having wavy card stock, I used a wavy sentiment with the “time for”.

Now do you want to hear some INSANE? I do not own a “Merry Christmas” stamp. I have holiday cheer, jolly Christmas, peace, snowflakes, etc. but no “Merry Christmas”! What kind of crafter am I? This must be remedied!

Card stock: Neenah Paper Environment (desert storm)
Patterned paper: Basic Grey (eskimo kisses)
Stamps: A Muse (cuckoo clock), The Paper Studio (writer’s type alpha), Kim Hughes (heart warmers)

Ink: Versamark, Stampin’ Up (wild wasabi, real red)
