SPCC #28

Welcome to another SPCC challenge! Here are this week’s colors:
And this week there is another prize from iCopic!! So cool!

Now, I have to admit, this little tag isn’t my favorite. I had something imagined in my head, but it just didn’t happen. Even with that, I think it’s important to post and learn from. I have such a long way to go if I ever want to make anything distressed! I also haven’t made very many tags. They are such fun, but definitely take practice!

Anyways, enough rambling about my failed tag attempt and more playing along with SPCC! 🙂

Sending smiles, Torendi style

Hello!! I hope you guys are all well! I wanted to show you a card using Torendi’s Modern Red kit. This kit is amazing. I have to say it’s my favorite Torendi kit yet! I mean, just look at all these goodies:Click here to get more info on exactly what’s in the kit. It has Jillibean Soup and Shinzi Katoh, do I need to say more? 🙂 I also wanted to remind you guys about the amazing promotion going on at Torendi too. Torendi is doing a Willy Wonka style CHA ticket giveway! That means if you buy anything at Torendi until December 21st you will be entered to win a coveted ticket to the CHA trade show portion. I can’t tell you how cool this is! Think of the people you can meet and the classes you can take! So cool! Anyways, I will stop talking now. I am just super excited about CHA! Click here for more info on the promotion!
That awesome dandelion paper is from Modern Red. I love it! The button is also Modern Red. The ribbon is actually from the Torendi Joy kit. I love that you can mix and match these kits. So fun! 🙂
I used the Shinzi Katoh fabric from Modern Red on this card. I added a layer of Mod Podge to card stock, adhered the fabric, covered it with Mod Podge again, waited for it to dry and then cut it with my Nestabilities. It is so cool in person. It just adds a whole new texture! I never thought I would have so much fun with fabric, but I love it!

Thank you for letting me gush about my love of this kit. It makes me all sorts of happy. You know what else makes me happy? My Mom’s biopsy results came back and it was just a cyst! She is free and clear!! Thank you so much for all your good thoughts and prayers. You guys are incredible. I can’t think of a better Christmas present than knowing that my Mom is going to be fine. It is incredible! So I am sending this smile across the miles to my Mom! I love you!

Etsy Inspired Challenge #66

Hello! Welcome to another week of the Etsy Inspired Challenge! The store this week is Marmar. It is the cutest store EVER. I am so in love. I want it all :). If you peruse the store a bit, I bet you could guess what I chose as my inspiration. Here it is! The Woodland Love necklace:
Oh, you sweet little deer in love. You just make me say “awwwww”.
So I took the idea of the hanging pendant and translated it to an ornament hanging off of a branch. I used this cute little mouse from The Character Cafe, our lovely sponsors. Isn’t he adorable? He is part of the Falalalala Trio. I printed him out, colored him in, cut him out and adhered him to his place of honor. I drew a little heart to mimic the Woodland Love pendant. I tied the string by poking two holes with my awl and threading it through.

I hope you will come play along with us this week! There are two possible prizes:
Mother/Daughter Rabbit necklace set from Marmar
– 3 digi stamps of your choice from The Character Cafe

Here is what you need to do to play along:
– Visit Marmar and find an item that inspires you
– Create a project of your own
– Post a link to your project on this post by Friday, December 18th at noon PST.

I cannot wait to see your cutie pie creations! In the mean time, check out the rest of the design team’s creations. Their links are on the sidebar to the right! 🙂
