Photo booth fun!

DSC_0141

Hello! Happy Monday! I have a layout today! Woah. Mike and I went to a wedding that had a photo booth, and I wanted to scrap the photo before I lost it! I absolutely adore the Fiskars heart punch. To me, it is the perfect shape! I wanted to create a panel of hearts and I used the EK Success bracket border punch to create that funky card stock shape below the hearts. I also love using those trims at the end of Sassfras papers in my cards and layouts. They are just too cool!

Here’s the whole page! It is definitely hodge podgey! I like the combo of the more elegant My Mind’s Eye paper with the funkier Sassafras items. It just makes me happy! 🙂 I am super slow and still doing Kelly Purkey‘s Sketchbook 2 class. This is taken from sketch 6! Also, this page is made almost entirely using the “On the Easel” Studio Calico kit. My goodness I love these kits! 🙂 One of the reasons that I decided to use this My Mind’s Eye paper as my base is because I like the larger words on the paper. I feel like they describe Mike’s and my relationship. Cheesy, I know, but what can I say? I love this man! 🙂

I used Harold’s ABCs for my date. I love how easy this alpha is to use on layouts! I would have journaled with it too, but I didn’t leave myself enough space! Haha! If you love stamp alphas make sure to check in for the November release! *hint hint* 🙂

Oh, also, the bottom pic of the photo booth strip is definitely my favorite, so I love that the word “happy” is right below it. I didn’t even plan that! 🙂

Card stock: American Crafts (Sunflower)
Patterned Paper: Studio Calico, Crate Paper, Sassafras, October Afternoon, My Mind’s Eye

  1. This is so cool!! I had a photobooth at my wedding last year. It was a BLAST!!! I need to scrap the pics. Thanks for the great idea. Have a great week!

  2. Love this layout!! The hearts are adorable – as are the awesome photo booth pics ( what a fun idea for a wedding!!). I love this kit as well. I have big plans for the polaroid stamp, those white letters, and the you+I element…just need some time. Hmmm…. your hint sounds VERY promising!! I'm a sucker for alphas! Also I love what the dt has been up to!

  3. I REALLY like this layout! I'm usually a lucker on your blog enjoying ideas but NEVER say anything, I HAD to today–this is EYE catching! 🙂 BTW I REALLY appreciate all your stamping ideas, not necessarily a stamper myself but I enjoy looking! 🙂

  4. Love this layout! I've been getting back into scrapbooking lately, so it's really inspiring for me to see people like you who do a lot of cards making layouts, too. Nice hint about the alphabet set. Ohhhh boy! I'm excited. 🙂

  5. How fun! I love your poses in the photos and the layout is quite delightful! We recently went to a wedding with a photo booth, there were funny costumes and props to use, such a great idea!
    blessings!
