Leaving on a jet plane

Hello! I have some exciting news! I am going to Australia with my family! This is been a huge dream for all of us to go since we were little, and we were supposed to go last year but my mom had emergency back surgery, so it had to be postponed exactly a year, which is why it is now at the craziest time to go ever! Right before CHA! Ahhhh! That is why we have been working so hard. We really want almost everything done before we leave January 3rd. We come back on the 19th!
Now, don’t worry, we are still filling orders! You will be getting thank you notes from Erica! 🙂 The other wonderful thing is that we are going to be featuring the design team while I am gone! Fun surveys and cards! I can’t wait for you guys to get to know the design team better! They are absolutely amazing people! 🙂
Also, I may be a bit slower to answer emails, but I will be staying at a friend’s house with access to internet, so I am not disappearing! 🙂 I appreciate your patience with any email slowness.

I thought that this Bon Voyage card using Bake Me A Cake and Harold’s ABCs would be a perfect travel card! It is fun to use patterned paper to take a stamp from birthday to bon voyage! I love that!

Sending big hugs to you all!

Card stock: Neenah
Patterned Paper: Studio Calico
Stamps: Lawn Fawn (bake me cake, harold’s abcs)
Ink: Memento, Ranger Distress

Etc: Studio Calico stickers, corner chomper

Thank you so much for visiting!
Have an amazing day,

  1. Having gone about 3 years ago here are some awesome things to do in Sydney: The Powerhouse Museum is really cool (especially if you have a rainy day), climb the Sydney Harbour Bridge! Take a ferry tour out on the water and take amazing shots of the Harbour from there. Since you will be there in Summer hit EVERY beach you can! 😀 And one thing I did about half way is that out on Bondi Beach there is a trail up on the cliffs that goes all along the water that is so spectacular to walk along. We only got about halfway done before we had to head back to get on the flight to go Perth. If in Perth go check out the Kangaroos and Koalas at Caversham (I believe that's how you spell it). That was truely the highlight of my trip 🙂

I know you are going to have an AMAZING time and enjoy it! Oh and if you want some beautiful jewelry Opals are very cheap over there compared to the states. I got to pick my stone and made a beautiful necklace for like $100. (it's my birthstone though too).

Can you tell I had an amazing time there?! 😀 Have a great trip!

  2. I wish I could fit in your suitcase w/my daughter. The Wiggles are located in Australia, and she loves her Wiggles! Just kidding about the suitcase. Have a marvelous time on your trip. I look forward to seeing what the DT comes up with while your gone.

  3. Love this card and love that you're going to Australia! I went in May and had the best time EVER. You're going to love it. Make sure to take lots of pictures and take in the cultural differences… that's the best part. 🙂 Wishing you safe travels!

P.S. Bring sleeping pills for the plane on the way back (and to combat jetlag when you get there). It's light the whole way and they expect you to sleep as soon as you take off! Oh, and bring good snacks like protein bars and pretzels just in case you don't like the meals that they serve. 🙂

  4. Cute card Kelly!! I hope you have a wonderful time Kelly, and I can't wait to see pictures both of your holiday and of CHA!! Thank you so much for your really sweet comment on my blog – I was going to leave a comment on your Top Ten but for some reason your post has disappeared!! All the best for a wonderful 2011!!

  5. Enjoy your trip of a life time with your family and take lots of photos of your adventures! Can't wait to hear all about it!
blessings and bon voyage! (your card is too adorable…love the travel themed papers)
