Today we have the wonderful Latisha‘s survey! Take it away, Tisha!
1. When did you first start crafting?
I have always loved paper, as a child I was obsessed with the Sanrio store so I could get new stationery sets, pencils, crayons, stickers & yummy gum. Around 2006, is when I started to really get into paper crafting, don’t get me wrong I was a green horn newbie, but that is the year I really started to spend $$ on supplies.
2. What is your favorite type of card to make?
Since my husband is in the service, my favorite type of card to make is a “miss you”, “thank you”, or “encouraging” cards. Just something that is uplifting and will make you smile.
3. What is your favorite and/or go-to color combo?
My all time favorite color combination is red & yellow…so perfectly perfect.
4. What technique have you been loving lately?
4. Techniques…hmmm…I love using Copic markers, but my favorite thing to do is to create die cuts using my Spellbinders die templates, that great embossed edge you get really steps up a card.
5. What is your New Year’s resolution?
I don’t really do New Year’s resolutions, but I do have several goals I make for myself. To always make time for my children, to do this I try to only craft while they are at school or sleeping. Continue to grow as a paper crafter by always learning new things. Staying connected with my husband through letters and email while he is away, and with him about to deploy very, very soon, here are some things I live by… To smile when I want to cry, laugh when I am scared, and to count my blessings when I am sad.
6. What is your favorite movie or book?
I have always loved the spunk of Anne Shirley from the book, “Anne of Green Gables”, she made me smile as a little girl, and I gave the gift of Anne to my daughter a few years ago. I also LOVE, “Little Woman”, I guess I am a classics kind of gal. As far as movies here are some of my favorites: Gone With the Wind, The Sound of Music, Breakfast at Tiffany’s & Elf.
8. What is your favorite food?
Italian or Mexican.
9. Where were you born?
Ukiah, California
10. Where is a place you would love to visit?
Rome
11. What did you want to be when you were little?
A Lawyer
12. If you won the lottery, what would you do?
Buy my husband his own airplane or helicopter.
13. What is your favorite quote?
“Your time is limited, don’t waste it living someone else’s life. Don’t be trapped by dogma, which is living the result of other people’s thinking. Don’t let the noise of other’s opinions drown your own inner voice. And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition, they somehow already know what you truly want to become. Everything else is secondary.” – Steve Jobs

How did you react when you got into the Lawn Fawn design team?
