Hero Arts + Lawn Fawn blog swap week! Day 1

Hello, everyone! We have an awesome treat for you this week! Lisa Spangler from Hero Arts and I are switching places! That’s right! She is creating for our blog, and I am creating for the Hero Arts blog. Lisa is one of the sweetest people on the planet, and we absolutely love our friends over at Hero Arts, so I think we are going to have a blast!

After you check out Lisa’s gorgeous project, make sure to head on over to the Hero Arts blog!

The theme for this week is very merry, happy, jolly holiday projects, and Lisa’s fits the bill! I absolutely love the grey and teal Let it Snow forest she created. She was inspired by the Fa-La-La collection colors! So beautiful! It is so clever to make the trees “talk” with A Birdie Told Me and Happy Everything.
From Lisa:

I misted the trees before stamping, and I used festive berries ink and the water brush to color the heart. I used a regular paintbrush to brush on a thin coat of diamond stickles to all the chevron trees (just not the solid ones), the center of the heart, and the snowbank.

I think this card is perfect for making multiples of! It goes really fast and the cutting out parts are super easy to cut!!! 🙂 You can make any message you like — that is the beauty of that stamp set!! Love it!!!

Absolutely gorgeous!! Thank you so much, Lisa! You are too awesome!
Head on over to the Hero Arts blog, and say hello!

Thank you so much for visiting!
Have an amazing day,

  1. What a great idea to swap blogs. I am excited to see all the fun posts this week.

Lisa, this card is so cute and fun! Inlie the glitter and the way you created the scene. Thanks for sharing!

  2. What a great idea to do a blog swap! LOVE this sweet card, and how these chevron trees match your dress 🙂
I can't wait to see what you girls come up with tomorrow!

  3. This is a cute, cute card from Lisa. One look and you just know it's a "Lisa card". This will be a fun week and I'm excited to see more. Between Lisa and Kelly, we should have lots of inspiration this week!!!

  4. How cute! I'm inspired. That cute little card has awakened the "Holiday Spirit" in me!! Now to decide what stamps to use for my Christmas cards this year…

  5. So cute! But I have to ask…what does it mean when she says that she mists the trees before stamping? Does this mean an actual mist spray and then ink? Or water before ink? Or just mist? Thank you!

    1. Lil T, I'm not Lisa, but I think she meant the stamp was inked, and then just before stamping, she misted it with water and then stamped. 🙂 At least, that's how I would try to achieve that particular effect/look. HTH!

  6. How Fun! I love that the trees are wishing each other a happy holiday. I also enjoy misting my stamps before stamping with some water, but I usually do it to get the second generation of ink, to stretch my ink. LOL I love the sort of water color effect it gives as well. Thanks for this great idea for holiday cards, wouldn't this card put a smile on anyone's face, just like it did mine. Thanks for a chance to win some great goodies.
