*Feel free to ask us questions in the comments below. We will answer them there!*
We seriously love you guys! We could not do this without you! It would be an honor to include some of your projects in our catalog and booth at the Craft and Hobby Association (CHA) trade show this January, so we are holding a little challenge here on the blog!
In addition to have your project featured in our catalog and booth, the 3 winners (one for each category below) will each get a $75 gift certificate to be used on Lawn Fawn goodies! Woohoo!
Now, because it is for our catalog, we do have a couple of guidelines:
- We are looking for projects using any one of these stamp set categories:
- Any Critters sets and/or Hats Off to You – You may use any combination of these sets. (For example a card using just Critters in the Forest works or a card using Critters in the ‘Burbs, Critters in the Sea and Hats Off to You works, too!)
- Sunny Skies (please only use this set)
- Any ABCs set (Please make the ABCs set the main feature of the card, but you may use other Lawn Fawn stamps.)
- You may not use patterned paper. Eeks! I know! This is tough but a fun challenge! You may still use any colored card stock or paper, ribbon, buttons, markers, pencils, etc. If you have any questions. Let us know! (The reason is that we are coming out with new patterned paper for the CHA trade show that will be featured in the catalog, but it won’t be out there for you guys to use yet. 🙂 )
- You may not use any other company’s stamps on your projects. We don’t want to confuse anyone! 🙂
- If your project is chosen, you must provide us with a high resolution photo of your card right away, and then you will need to mail us the project so that we can show it off in our booth!
- You may enter as many times as you would like!
- You have until December 6th at 10:00pm EST to enter. We will announce the winner December 7th.
We are just so excited about this! It will be so wonderful to have your amazing projects for people to ooh and aah over at CHA! SO fun! Please let us know if you have any questions!

Ahhhhhhh! I'm so excited! I can't wait to enter! 😀
Hi 🙂 I have a question, Do the cards have to be any particular theme? Or can they be anything like Christmas, birthday, valentines thanks?
Thanks.
Kate xx
They can be any theme! We can't wait to see what you create! 🙂
Cool 🙂
Thanks x
Very cool!!
Oooh, exciting! I know what I'll be working on this week! 🙂
Luvs,
Annie Rose
Yay! I can't wait to make some cards! 🙂
aww Kelly this is just too fun… Totally got me crafting this morning..
Hope you and Mike have a wonderful Thanksgiving..
What an exciting & fun "challenge"!
Gonna play along!! 🙂
Hi! when you say no patterned paper, is it just for layering or we cant also use it for paper piecing? even if we use LF paper? Thanks! very excited to start making cards! 🙂
No patterned paper at all. The reason is that we are coming out with new patterned paper that will be featured in the catalog, but it won't be out there for you guys to use yet. It is a tough challenge, but we know you guys can do it! 🙂 We can't wait to see what you create! Let us know if you have any other questions!! 🙂 🙂 🙂
ok! challenge accepted! 🙂 🙂 i will start making cards!:)
This is sooooo exciting…gonna start brainstorming!
Can we use embossing folders or cut outs or punch outs?
You definitely can! Good question! We can't wait to see what you create!
Is it only new cards??? Looking forward for some fun time. Thanks Kelly
Another great questions! They cards don't have to be new 🙂
Hello Kelly, Can we enter non-card projects for this?
Yes you may, Nina! 🙂 We can't wait to see what you create! 🙂
Squeee!!! I love that you do this!! I'm going to give it another try!!
I see where you say the cards don't have to be new cards – can they have been posted on our blogs at any time?
Thanks,
Heidi
Yes! That is completely fine 🙂 We can't wait to see what you create, Heidi!
I remember ( most of them) the cards that were made last year for this – that card that Yainea made was beyond awesome!! I can't wait to give it another shot!
This sounds like fun! Thanks so much for including us in your preparation for CHA!!!
I am going to go for it! It's funny b/c even though I love patterned paper, half the time I end up using only cardstock. hmmmmmmmmmmm, the wheels are turning!
I have a question too =) Can we use an ABC set to make a custom sentiment for our critter card? And also, can we use a sentiment from one critter set together with a critter from a different critter set?
Yes, you may use an ABCs set for a custom sentiment for the Critters, and you may use a sentiment from one Critter set with a critter from a different set! 🙂 Any Critters set combination is good! 🙂 We can't wait to see what you create!
Oh, and also – how fast must the project get to your offices after you have made the winner announcement? Aka, will us international LF lovers have enough time to ship it to you via regular mail, should any of us win?
Yes, you will definitely have enough time. We worked it out to make sure that our international friends could participate! It is also the reason why we will need a high resolution photo so that if the package was delayed we could always use your photo in the catalog. Can't wait to see what you make! 🙂
If we submit multiple entries for each category, do we link each entry one at a time, or do i make a blog post for all cards in that category and link per category, or do i make a blog post for all cards for all categories and add all cards in one link? I'm sorry for the very confusing question, I don't know how else to phrase it. 🙂
Please link each entry one at a time to make sure we don't miss any cards 🙂 We can't wait to see what you create!
I've got 2 so far to turn in…will post tomorrow! 🙂
Fun challenge, Kelly Marie! I made a card featuring Quinn's ABCs that I really liked last year, but it had a small amount of pp on it. So I made a new card that is similar, but changed the pp for green cardstock. It is linked above. Hope I have time to make something else. Thanks.
OMG!!! I made a few so far… I can't wait to make more =)
Question: I posted my entry, but there's a red x" under it. Is there a problem?
I believe that only you can see the red x so that you could delete your entry if you needed to for some reason. I do see an entry from Valerie Ward up there!
are we allowed to use other LF sets like fanciful frames or the Polaroid from Say Cheese?
Or Bannerific, or Backdrop sets?
You may for the Critters and ABCs cards but not for the Sunny Skies one. We just want that set featured 🙂 We can't wait to see what you make!
can we use washi? 🙂
You can if it is a really subtle basic pattern like a polka dot. I hope that helps! Can't wait to see what you create!
thank you! i think so!
i love to participate !!!!!!!!!!!!
Wow, everyone is so creative! I am totally enjoying looking at everyone's creations! 🙂
I agree! Aren't they all just amazing!
Yes!! They are all so amazing! This is going to be so hard!
I added 5 mini's tonight, and all 5 are using 2 stamp sets, one o which is not in the specs as a usable stamp set for this contest. I did use the Smitty's ABC stamp set, too, so I thought I'd still enter them. Now, back to the drawing board for some more fun!
They are awesome and very cute! Too bad Sweet Christmas isn't a part of it. Maybe we can throw that one in for our next contest in July when we release our Christmas products! 🙂
That's all right – it's all good!
I hope my old blog hop card qualifies for two of the guidelines. I can always replace the decorative paper hammocks with plain cardstock.
Yes, it definitely does!
Can we use one of your background stamps to create a design on plain card ? 🙂
thanks 🙂
Lols x x x
Yes, of course! We can't wait to see your creations!
i have a question? do you know why i can not put more than one card, when i tried to put another it is says that i am already on the collection…
Are you linking to your direct blog post instead of just your main blog address? Try that and see if it works, if not, email me at kellymarie@lawnfawn.com Thanks for entering! 🙂
thank you so much kelly it worked!!!!!
I have NO IDE how you're going to narrow it down to only 3 winners! ALL 190 entries are just amazing. Good luck with THAT tough task!
