  1. I should… I have many printed sketches, but I just don't use them. I guess the eye-candy is more appealing. I like to take a card that I love, then make my own version. Love the party pics- my granddtrs would just love this!!!

  2. Yes, I have been using more sketches this year as I attempt to make better cards. Card sketches provide balanced and creative compositions, and are much better than trying to rely on my own ideas, haha!

  3. I haven't but tell myself I need to! I see so many great cards done from sketches, especially when using an entire 6 x 6 pad to make cards. It would certainly give me a great head start in my creativity! thanks for the chance to win this book.

  4. I haven't used sketches before since I'm so new to card marking. But I can see the value of it and would like to give it a try.

  5. Love these party ideas from Yainea! I have used sketches for cards, but most of the time I look at a finished card photo for inspiration. Sketches can be very handy and inspirational though — I should try using them more often!

  6. I use Card Sketches when I am feeling like something is missing. It's great to have a reference on hand! I especially love Scrapbook & Cards Today! Even there magazine has been quite helpful!

  7. I must use this stamp to make my own rainbow unicorns! Too cute! I use sketches all the time to make cards! I find them super useful when I'm struggling for ideas. Thank you so much for the chance to win!

  8. I love sketches! They are usually a starting point for me and sometimes I make a card with the exact layout as the sketch shows. I am so looking forward to this book. I have a couple other ones when they were issued. This one will be so helpful. Love the rainbow party!

  9. I often use the sketches I see in Card Maps.
I might not use it exactly as posted – adapting it
to my style or the person who is receiving it instead.
    Always needing inspiration.

    thanks for sharing.

  11. I am having problems posting my comment.
The party decorations are very cute! I do use sketches. It really helps to get started on an idea.

  12. Yep, I love using card sketches! It would be so awesome to be inspired by all the incredible talent and sketches in this fabulous SCT publication. Thanks for the chance to win a copy!

  13. I do use sketches when I have an idea for a card in my head. 9/10 it doesn't end up looking the same but it helps organize pieces. But some times, I like to just "wing it". I even just take pieces and throw them up and see where they come down. You can get amazing things happening when you don't think about it too much.

  14. I do! Not all the time but at the last craft con I went to, I carried around a tiny sketchbook so I could jot down ideas I got while there so I wouldn't forget. My favorite was a sketch I made of a stamp I saw of a topiary shaped like a bunny!

  15. I'm always amazed by how versatile Lawn Fawn stamps and dies are. This party theme is so adorable and unique. 🙂
