Design Team Favorites Week {Day 5}

Welcome to this special Design Team Favorites week! We are excited to share the favorite stamps, dies and papers of our Lawn Fawn Design Team this week! They have created amazing inspiration using their favorites! We will have daily giveaways all week; so be sure to comment on each post August 9 – 13 to enter for a chance to win! We are giving away a stamp set with coordinating die of your choice along with a 6×6 paper pack!

Nichol is a fan of our cute office sets! She used Virtual Friends, Virtual Friends Add-On and cute mice from Bubbles of Joy to create a fun scene for sending smiles! She added a few extra elements too, the stack of books and framed picture from Den Sweet Den.

You know the inside of the card had to be just as cool as the outside, so Pop-Up Desk it is! I just love all the homey touches that Nichol included in this design!

Tiffany went all the way back to our first Christmas set to create this fun Swish ‘n Pop Pull-Tab card! Her favorite set is Cozy Christmas and why not with all those adorable little smiley faces! She used papers from Let It Shine and Into the Woods Remix as the backdrop for the cute fireplace scene!

Tiffany wanted to put trendy spin on this classic design so she used Winter Big Scripty Words with the swish ‘n pop! I love how the fun sentiment swishes across the top of the card!

Kara loves the Acorn House die set and it shows! She created an amazing card and a beautifully hand-stitched felt banner to welcome Fall! For the card, Kara combined the pretty Acorn House with a Quilted Backdrop and a Little Picket Fence Border! The stamped greeting is from Little Bundle.

Kara took advantage of all of the flowers, vines and leaves included in the Acorn House set to create this amazing Autumn banner! I love the variety of the embroidery stitches she used to give each banner piece its own unique design! She used Oliver’s Stitched ABCs to spell out “welcome”!

I hope that you enjoyed all the inspiration this week! We are all looking forward to sharing our Fall/Winter Release with you next month! But for now, it’s giveaway time!

  64. Oh I wish I could tell you about a recent favorite project I have created, but we moved and I have been packing and unpacking and driving from VA to CA! {It started in June and it is now August. It takes a bit to do a military move when you have to go cross country and stop multiple places along the way.} Does hanging pictures on the wall and throwing out old items and reorganizing many boxes into a smaller space count as a favorite or at least a project? HAHAHAHA!
I did order from the latest release and I hope to create something this weekend for my daughter’s 19th birthday; which is Sunday. I better get crackin’. I have really enjoyed seeing all the design team favorites. I ADORE Kara’s killer acorn banner. That is just AMAZING!!!!! Always a joy to see the Lawn Fawn Design Team in action!!!!

  65. I just finished crocheting a short scarf using ribbon yarn that a friend gave me. I used it like yarn (instead of crocheting in the intended loop holes) and ended up loving the look and feel! Gotta love ANY project that turns out better than expected!!

  66. I am sometimes a big insane and overambitious, so I decided a good bridal shower gift for an extended family member would be a small box of handmade thank you cards. (I like practical gifts.) I am not sure how many I will have by the end. My goal is probably 50. So far I have 9 done. I have been working on them at night after work. One night I managed to finish 4. Last night, 0. I got stuck waffling on the design of a card (please tell me I am not the only one who goes through this). But I managed to do a bunch of die cutting from Build a House with the spring add on, the Stitched Mug and frame and Hammock and Trees. Hopefully that will give me a jump on the weekend. The best looking card so far features Hedgehugs inside an Oval Frame with Grassy Border and some flower embellishments.

    1. You’re definitely not alone! In 2014 I decided to make 50 unique birthday cards for my sister who was turning 50. The ones I made turned out awesome—I think there were 9. She still hasn’t received them😕. My husband often reminds me perfect is the enemy of good. I hope you’ll have better luck accomplishing your project in time that I did! But if you think you won’t make your deadline consider making duplicates of the ones you’ve already designed. It would still be a wonderful handmade gift! That’s my two cents 😁. Best of luck

  67. Oh these samples are wonderful! I’m definitely making Kara’s acorn house garland!! My favorite recent project was an encouragement card I made for my daughter when she was trying out for the middle school softball team. I screenshot & printed messages to her from our family’s group chat and put it in the cell phone die from Selfie Frames. It turned out so cute and she has a great keepsake in her Lady Eagles scrapbook. She made the team as manager😁.

Thanks for all the inspiring projects this week! Lawn Fawn is the best!!

  68. A short while ago I was pruning some trees and bushes in our backyard and had lots of various sizes of sticks when I was finished. I used some of the smaller pieces to make a cute gnome home to put in our flower garden! It turned out really cute!

  69. For my grandson’s first birthday I used the new jungle vines/leaves (multiple die sets) to decorate the food table. Perfect for the occasion! Everyone loved the jungle party theme in the food items.

  70. I made a thank you card with birds on it and when you opened it up It said “the world needs more of you.” The Acorn banner turned out fabulous!

  71. It’s been a little while since I’ve been able to craft, but I’m so excited to get back into it! I think my first project is going to be to get all of my existing cards to “Cards for Kindness” and “Cards for Hospitalized Kids”. They’re such wonderful organizations!

  72. What a fun week! I made a shaker card that had rainbow-colored sequins in the top of the umbrella (a different color for each section of the umbrella). I love making shaker cards and I know people love getting them because they’re something different and fun. My friend loved it so it was a win-win! Thank you for the chance to win!!

  73. I’ve stamped and die-cut a whole bunch of images so I could color while in the hospital with my daughter. Excited to turn all those colored images into cards once we are back home! Loving the Toucan Do It set, it’s so fun to color and imagine all the scenes you can create with those cute critters!

  74. I just made my very first Halloween card of this year and I love it. Am so happy to finally bring out those Halloween images and dies again – even if it means that summer is coming to an end.

Thanks for an awesome week of ideas and projects and inspiration – loved looking at them and watching the videos!

  75. My favorite recent project is a cross stitch birth sampler that I am making for one of my best friends who just had a baby.

I have enjoyed seeing favorites from the Design Team! Thank you!

  80. I love Inspiration Week!!! (And, I’m sorry to see it end.)
My favorite project has been to make a shadow box card for my Auntie. It wasn’t too elaborate by LF terms, but she was so pleased. It featured the Mermaid For You stamp/die set. She thought my husband was the merman, and I was the mermaid. Actually, she was the mermaid, and I was the narwhal.

  81. I just finished two cards for the design teams that I am a part of, I used the new purchases: toucan do it, magic iris tropical leaves add-on, slimline tropical leaves border and the old magic messages, sunburst backdrop. Beautiful inspiration week.

  82. My most recent project I made was a scrapbook page with Make Lemonade and the critters from Jump for Joy. The page featured photos from a restaurant in Mexico City where I had enchiladas and lime water.

  83. Wasn’t able to craft today. Enjoyed the design teams inspiration…. very much appreciate them especially on days like today.

  84. Have been working on some watercoloring.and I was super happy on the final results. It was a great time to experiment and find what works for me.
