Woohoo! It’s almost time for October Inspiration Week! We will be highlighting the awesome Holiday sets that we released in September! It’s going to be so much fun with Design Team inspiration, intro videos and daily giveaways!

World Card Making Day Giveaway!

It’s World Card Making Day so of course, we have an amazing card to share with you! We also have a giveaway! We are giving away a $50.00 gift certificate at lawnfawn.com to 3 lucky winners! To enter, just comment on this post by Sunday October 3, at 5PM ET, telling us how you are celebrating this day dedicated to our favorite hobby! We will announce our winners on Tuesday October 5.

Megan gave her Purrfectly Wicked design a decidedly non-spooky spin! The cute cats are creating a love potion for someone “spell-cial”!

This cheerful scene was created on a Scalloped Slimline with Hearts: Portrait panel so Megan has plenty of room for lots of cuteness! She included the waving mouse, banners and potted plants from Virtual Friends Add-On and a stack of books from Den Sweet Den. Be sure to check out the supply list below for all the sets Megan used!

She used happy colors that add to the cheery look of her design! Megan heat-embossed the sentiment on vellum, then she cut it with an Everyday Sentiment Banner.

In order to get the pretty white scallops framing the scene, Megan masked the edges of the Scalloped Slimline with Hearts: Portrait die. Then she added the inky background.

I have a busy day today, I am making a door hanger, going to a friends open house for her new store, we have Octoberfest the city does this the 1st Saturday in October every year from crafters all around us. And fighting traffic because there is a race in Talladega as well too

  8. I am going to rewatch the Create With Us and this time make a card. I joined live, but was working so I was not able to do actually craft. I love that I can go back and see it again.

  9. Love the non-scary Halloween card! You can just change the saying and it would work for any occasion.

    Well, besides doing a lot of crafting – and coffee drinking – I don’t have many other plans since I will be all by myself today with everyone else of the family having other plans and so being out. This rarely happens and so it’s perfect timing for a me-day!

For this World Card Making Day I would love to spend all day playing with and getting to know the new release that just came in the mail, especially the Purrfectly Wicked set but I think my favorite is the Penguin Party! However I am going to have to celebrate tomorrow because my family needs some help with clearing the property of leaves and trees that have been a worrisome fire hazard. A big group of family and friends are getting together right now to hopefully knock it all out in a half a day, which means, I may get to spend the other half crafting if we succeed! fingers crossed! Otherwise I will lock myself in my crafty shed tomorrow and celebrate this happy day.

  75. For World Card Making Day 2021, I have made 3 cards so far. Two from the Purrfectly Wicked Create With Us and one for a Craft Roulette challenge. The day is still young and I hope to make a few more!

  76. I will be making more Christmas cards. I start early because I make about 60 and each one is different! I will be using my Giant Merry Christmas and Window Scene: Winter sets today.

  224. I spent the day getting more and more ideas for cards to make for my adorable sisters-in-law who live in Portugal (I’m in Australia). I was going to send a stack of cards for each of their birthdays, christmas, cards for them to give their mum and dad (my in-laws) or friends, and just some general cards. It’s so hard with them being so far away, but I love that card making is allowing me to add a more personal touch to messages I send my overseas family.

    Unfortunately with a 16 month old at home I wasn’t able to craft today! I did however stock up on my supplies to start my Christmas cards!

  246. I will celebrate this amazing day by finishing the prep work on all of the Christmas cards I’m going to be making, using the amazing inspiration from the stunning deign team.😀

  247. Snuck in a little coloring for Card Making Day. I’m working on a swinging piñata card with my swish and pop die!

  249. I had fun crafting with my teenage daughter, and then because I am also a very exhausted special Ed teacher I also had an afternoon nap 😴.

  250. So much to do! Halloween and Thanksgiving with
    Christmas and Chanukah right around the corner-time to get started:-)

  252. I’m making Halloween treat boxes for kids who come for the Paws to Read program at the local library where my therapy dog Lucy and I volunteer every week.

  255. Well I wanted to spend the day working on my 24 Halloween cards and the Braids card drive but there where so many events going on I spent most of the day watching You Tube lives.

  256. This card is just to cute!!!
    I have been celebrating all weekend dedicating my days to making little thank you cards for the cleaning staff for my trip to Disney World, a Birthday cart for my Nephew and a few other cards for those “Oh I need a card” times.

  264. I celebrated by taking the kids to the local zoo and will be making cards when I get home tonight – probably some animal ones!!

  267. I make cards anyday but on WCM day I love to shop for card supplies. My local craft shop celebrates the day with storewide discount.
