We Wish You A Very Fawny Holiday Week 2021 {Day 3}

Hello everyone! Welcome to another special Fawny Holiday Week! We will be sharing inspiring holiday projects by our amazing Fawny family of designers along with videos and daily giveaways! (Make sure to comment for a chance to win a stamp set and coordinating dies of your choice and a Let It Shine Snowflakes 6×6 pad!)

Today, Joy shares a super fun Penguin Party card and gift tags to start the holiday inspiration! You can watch the video tutorial below or click HERE to watch at our YouTube channel.

Thanks so much for watching!

Joy‘s frosty winter scene starts with some stenciled snowflakes and Slimline Stitched Hillside Borders. Her Penguin Party scene is so delightfully fun! I love the penguins stringing up lights on the Giant Let It Snow greeting! So clever!

Joy stamped and colored a few extra penguins to add to the Say What? Gift Tags! She used a sentiment from Shutter Card Sayings on the front and Tiny Tag Sayings on the back side of the tags!

Christy‘s clever card shows us Santa’s workshop, a little behind the scenes peek! She combined the You’re Just My Type desk with the desk chair from Virtual Friends to set the stage. Then she combined Ho-Ho-Holidays with Holiday Helpers to include Santa, an elf and lots of toys! How fun is the book from Purrfectly Wicked as the “nice list”!

I love a tall slimline card for showing lots of action in a scene! Lynnette used Stitched Hillside Borders to create layers of snowbanks for the all the mouse activities! She placed the Merry Mice in the foreground and Mice on Ice skating in the background.

Mayra‘s card and snow globe tag are so creative! The little girl from Joy to All is a big fan of The Little Mermaid so she decorated her Mermaid-themed room for Christmas with fun ocean accents! Mayra combined lots of sets to deck out her beautiful card and tag!

In addition to Joy to All, Mayra used Mermaid for You, Fintastic Friends and Christmas Fishes for the main elements. Then she shopped her Lawn Fawn stamps for all the little details to make this card so special! I love that she used the Tiny Fairy Tale princess as an Ariel doll and of course, the little ship from Lovable Legends!

Mayra’s tag features Magic Iris Snow Globe Add-On with a Build-A-Castle for the mermaid! She used more Christmas Fishes trees in addition to underwater elements from You Are Sublime. Be sure to check out the supply list below for all the sets she used!

Mindy‘s adorable card brings back some wonderful old favorites! She combined Snow Day with Making Frosty Friends to create this adorable card to warm someone’s heart! Mindy built the scene on a mini slimline card base which is such a fun size! The silver embossed sentiment from Snow Day looks so pretty!

If one Magic Holiday Messages greeting is good, then creating a card with multiple messages is awesome! Melissa combined the greetings in a pretty grid pattern on a lovely snowflake stenciled background to create a design that is so uniquely beautiful!

Franci combined Outside In Stitched Snowflakes with cute Ready Set Snow snowmen for her adorable gift tags! She used Tiny Tag Sayings on the back and finished them with a delicate gold cord!

Elena featured the cute kids from Joy to All on her beautiful card which she filled with a nostalgic theme! Of course, you can’t go wrong with traditional red and green for a Christmas card! She used these colors for the Plaid stenciled background and those adorable jammies! The Christmas Garland and the plate of gingerbread cookies are the perfect finishing touches!

  1. We always sit down together during the Holidays to work on a puzzle as a family. My brother-in-law loves puzzles as well, so he’s joined in the tradition as well.

  2. When my son was young we would drive around and look at lights, always watched the Christmas Story. I am loving the snowflake dies!!

  3. We set up a Nativity advent calendar where each day another piece is added. Of course Baby Jesus is the very last piece! It is fun to see the kids’ anticipation increase as each day approaches closer to Christmas.

  4. So much fun and inspiration, thank you! I love decorating gingerbread houses with my family and friends, whilst listening to (and singing!) some Christmas songs. Oh, and having some mulled wine at Christmas markets – always a winner! 🙂

  5. My mother quilted this beautiful advent calendar. Every year I fill up the pockets with different surprises for the kids to check out each day….they love it!

  6. Beautiful cards by the DT again!

In our neighbourhood we do a kind of living advent calendar. Each evening we meet at a different house/family, they have a window with the day’s number decorated and lit up and we gather outside, drinking Glühwein, having food and chatting. Feels like a little privat christmas market and makes this time of year extra special for us.

  7. For a while now I have been having a gingerbread house decoration party. Everyone gets a boxed gingerbread house, and then we decorate them. 🙂
I like it because I don’t want to be super Christmas/religious but it’s still a holiday party of some kind and fun with friends.

  8. We like to dress in our jammies, bundle up, make hot cocoa and drive around looking at Christmas lights while we listen to our favorite holiday albums.

  9. Every year my girls and I decorate a gingerbread house. We’ve been doing this since the little one was first toddling around. It’s a fun tradition!

  10. My family and I do a Christmas Eve Box every year. It usually includes lots of things that make a for a good movie night like pjs, hot chocolate, candy, cookies, popcorn and of course the Santa Clause movies. We watch all three every Christmas Eve.

  11. Wonderful projects! I love Christy‘s Santa’s workshop! One of the things my husband and I love doing is snowshoeing over Christmas when there’s enough snow.

  12. We love to go “hunt,” for a Christmas tree. Because of the drought and scarcity of Christmas trees, we decorate it in the wild, take a picture, (clean up the tree) and come home. We have a fake tree we use at home, but we love getting outdoors and adventuring together during the busy Christmas season.

  13. We like to do Christmas puzzles prior to Christmas Eve. On Christmas Eve our extended family gets together for an amazing appetizer spread and games. Two years ago it was a gingerbread decorating contest and Left Right Center. This year it will be Family Feud.
Thanks for the wonderful and adorable inspiration from the DT and for a chance to win. Happy Holiday week.

  14. While I always enjoying making holiday cards, I’ve brought it to my student group. For the past few years my colleague and I provide crafting supplies and the students make holiday cards for older people living in personal care homes. It’s a nice way to bring the holiday spirit to older people, who might not have the family and friend support. One of my favorite holiday traditions.

  15. Holiday activity we enjoy! Watching Elf – my hubby looks like Will Ferrel and it’s so funny to watch this movie together every year!

  16. We like to drive around looking at Christmas lights on Christmas Eve then we go to our favorite restaurant and have dinner. Later we go back home and watch Christmas movies.

  17. On Christmas Eve, we load up in the car and drive around to see Christmas lights – it’s so peaceful when all the rushing around is done!

  18. My family and friends enjoy getting together to decorate cookies and play games with the kids. Everyone has a blast!

  19. Our family has many things but the most important is attending Christmas Eve Service at the church to celebrate the birth of our Lord and Savior. We like caroling too and supporting the Angel Tree that gives to families in need; and ALWAYS Toys for Tots. My husband is a USMC Colonel who is heavily involved, and we always give several presents to that foundation.
    Great inspiration!

  20. We tend to watch movies together. I will cook a small meal and a dessert. We keep our holidays fairly low key. Fun examples today!

  21. So many traditions. We like to go to the children’s mass on Christmas eve, then come home and have an appetizer party, while playing games and Christmas music.

  22. I’m physically disabled so I can’t do a lot of outdoor winter activities. I do love being in our nice warm house, watching our favorite Christmas movies and drinking peppermint hot chocolate though!

  23. I love decorating the tree with my sons. Every year we also drive to a local neighborhood that puts on an amazing Christmas light display.

  24. I love getting together w old friends, especially over the holidays. It’s great to finally reconnect, and to look forward to adventures to come.

  25. We get together for a weekend play Christmas movies and music and bake cookies, pumpkin rolls, fudge, etc. It’s something I did with my mom for years and now my daughters along with my 3 year old twin grandsons and I do every year.

  26. Driving around to see all of the displays of
lights and decorations – at individual homes
and large commercial venues – is our
favorite holiday activity. So much work
went into them and donations requested
go to help various charities. thanks
    for sharing. txmlhl(at)yahoo(dot)com

  27. We have a few holiday activities I enjoy with my family every year: driving around looking at lights, baking together and watching Christmas movies.

  28. I know this is a pretty common activity, but it is what I love do during the holidays. Bake cookies! I love the whole process, selecting some oldies and picking new ones to try.

  29. LF has wonderful designers! Their inspiration is great. One thing my family always does is have a hunt for a Christmas present. My mother wrote terribly rhyming clues that would send us all over the house and finally end up with a present at the last location. Thank you for the chance to win!!

  30. We decorate our tree as a family. Now that the kids don’t live with us, sometimes I can convince them to come and help decorate the tree, if I ply them with food.

  31. My high school/college friends continue to celebrate Christmas together by at least getting together once during the holiday season for dinner. We had to do a zoom chat last Christmas so we are looking forward to actually being able to get together physically this year!

  32. We like to go caroling. It’s such a surprise for people when you show up outside their houses! Then we have hot chocolate and cookies afterwards. We have not done caroling for a couple of years, though… either one of us had a cold or Covid made it too dangerous. I love the tradition, though.

These shared cards and Joy’s amazing video really are fantastic… or “fin”tastic, in Mayra’s card’s case. I especially loved the ones from Lynette, Mindy and Elena.
    Happy holidays!!

  33. These projects are great! I love Joy’s adorable penguin card and tags. 🙂 Every year my husband and I help my mother-in-law make Christmas cookies. When we’re done we have dinner and then watch a Christmas movie. So fun!

  34. Well, we don’t have any Family left and we are hunkered down because of the increase in Covid cases, so we haven’t been seeing our Friends. So, Hubby and I will have our ‘cozy’ Thanksgiving dinner together.
Gosh…I just LOVE your Bunny, Mice and Penguin Cards SO MUCH!!! Great Talent!!!
I’m Thankful for my Hubby, my Cat’s and to be able to have a Thanksgiving Holiday!!!
P.S. I’m thankful for Lawn Fawn too for sharing your talent and being able to do giveaways!!! You Guys ROCK!!!

  35. On Christmas morning, everyone gets a Christmas stocking and I love to see the families faces excited to see what’s inside the stocking! Also being together as a family.

  36. My family’s favorite activities is baking cookies and hanging the ornaments on the tree. We saved ornaments from our childhood and get them on vacation, so there are memories of past Christmases and vacations.

  37. Awwwwe, the mice blowing snowflakes instead of bubbles is so charming! Love that! Of course eating Turkey leftovers for starters…. but hubby and I love to drive about at night looking at the beautiful Christmas lights. We take fresh baked cookies and hot chocolate in a thermos and turn the radio to Christmas music. I wish folks would keep their lights up longer for more days to enjoy them!

  38. So beautiful! I love these beautiful Christmas creations. My kids and I loved playing in the snow till we moved to warmer climates.

  39. My card club girlfriends get together and go out for appetizers and drinks for the holidays. My family and grandkids get together and make Christmas cookies and gingerbread houses! It is so fun!

  40. My favorite Holiday Tradition is still getting together with my family on Christmas Eve, we’ve been doing this for as long as I can remember and I am retired now so it’s been a really long time

  41. My son and I enjoy hiding the Elf in the Shelf for the other to find and hide again. You never know where he will end up.

  42. We love going to the Cincinnati Zoo’s Festival of Lights. Our grandkids look forward to it every year! Great cards, tags and video today! Thank you!

  43. We love walking the neighborhood and looking at all the Christmas lights and blow up characters – the grandchildren love them!

  44. On holidays in our family we set the budget and go buy one another the present that is a surprise! And we all open it on Christmas day! Apart from other presents!

  45. Well my family and I love going to look at all the wonderful Christmas lights around our town. We have a 2 and a 4 year old and they are already asking about it. Can’t wait to go again this year 🎄

  46. We don’t have a specific tradition but whenever possible my old friends and me meet at the churches brass concert on Christmas Eve

  47. We bake 100 coffee cakes every year and give to friends and family. My grandma is 103 and she still gets involved. She started this tradition almost 70 years ago!

  48. I love getting together and raising a glass in Cheers! with family and friends. Even through these tougher years we find a way… on the phone or over zoom the joy and cheer is still there!

  49. My favorite holiday activity is decking the tree and watching my son hang handmade ornaments made by my grandmother. It’s so special, it gets me emotional every year. Cheers to many more years of memories!

  50. We love decorating the tree together as a family! Enjoying our last few years doing it together before the nest empties. 🙂

  51. Well, when it is not pandemic times, I loved getting together with my family and different groups of friends for holiday parties. Each group has it’s own activity (hay ride, dance, dinner, gift exchange) and each was fun in its own way.

  52. As my kids have become adults, one holiday tradition hasn’t changed: sitting down together after a family meal and watching movies. A Christmas Story and Elf are holiday favorites, and we may stream the new Hawkeye series this year too!

  53. Listening to “The Cinnamon Bear”, which is a serial radio show of old, is something that our family has enjoyed once December begins. Santa’s in it, so it is a fun tradition at this time of the year.

  54. Adorable cards! Our family goes out to find and cut down our Christmas tree and we always watch A Christmas Story together.

  55. We love to go tobogganing and Christmas light looking with a mint hot chocolate. Two of our most favourite activities. These sets are all so very cute!! I love the inspiration the design team creates!

  56. Going to pick out our live Christmas tree is always fun and then decorating it with all the ornaments we’ve collected over the years!

  57. Great projects today! On Christmas Eve, when my daughter was young, we always drove around the close neighborhoods to look at all the lights & decorations. I’m looking forward to starting this tradition (but probably on another night) with our young grandson!

    1. When my children were younger we made cookies and decorated the tree together. Now that I have grandchildren we set aside a day to bake!

  58. We enjoy going out to see the Christmas lights and then we go home for hot chocolate and cookies and watch It’s A Wonderful Life!

  59. Years ago, our extended family started a Dirty Santa tradition. The first year we played it, a gaudy two-piece “sexy” nightie showed up in one of the gifts, and the person who got it brought it the next year, hidden in the battery compartment of a fancy flashlight. The nightie has shown up every year, hidden in an innocuous gift. As we say in our family, “Merry Christmas to all, and to all, a good nightie!” 😀

  60. We love driving around the neighborhood to see the Christmas lights. One night we took an evening stroll on a cold crisp night that was so much fun.

  61. We always go see the Gardens A-Glow the weekend after thanksgiving. It is our local botanical garden all decked out in Christmas lights.

  62. On Thanksgiving Eve for the past 7 years, we’ve gone to an afternoon movie – usually the new Disney film being released – followed by dinner at our favorite restaurant. So grateful we got to do it again today after Covid interrupted our plans last year (when we watched a movie at home & got carry out!). So thankful for our time together with family. ❤️

  63. My boyfriend and I watch a holiday movie of my choosing and then play a game for two of his choice on sony. Love every second of it since the year we started it ♥

  64. Such lovely inspirational cards!!
I have many fond memories of making a gingerbread house and other holiday goodies with my mum growing up and like to continue the tradition whenever possible

  65. We gather Christmas Eve, go to church, then drive around & look at the Christmas lights then back home to have snacks & drinks & watch White Christmas.

  66. One of my favourite Christmas traditions is the gathering of family and close friends on Christmas eve. We all bring a favourite finger food or dessert and someone is appointed as the Cocktail master. Their task is to design a non-alcoholic cocktail and bring the recipe and of course we all get to taste test it. The night ends with the kids/adults opening up one gift that is titled.”Open me Xmas eve”. They hold Christmas pj’s and everyone models their new PJ’s. Many pics are taken and I usually put them into a mini album to bring to the following Christmas eve event. We haven’t met for over a year so this will indeed be a special gathering.

  67. Each year my daughter and I play Christmas Monopoly and have cookies cocoa and watch the movie Elf. She beats me almost every year, we will see how this one goes… maybe mom for the win?

  68. I love all the cards today but especially the little mermaid ones! It was my favourite movie growing up. Just seen t them makes me want to sing the soundtrack.

  69. I loved when I would have the entire family & friends over to my home for
Christmas! I still love to cook my favorite Italian dishes for Christmas eve
& Day for my husband! Christmas night my husband & I enjoy watching
a movie while eating homemade cookies with hot cocoa!

  70. We take off work for winter solstice and spend the day together doing something new together weather it be a recipe or a game or craft.

  71. The good thing about having grown up children is that my girlfriends and I can get together for our annual December-crafty-long-weekend. We bring our own Holiday projects & have fun. I’ll be bringing my Lawn Fawn projects of course!

  72. Yahoo! I LOVE the Let It Snow card. All these are snow much fun. I love these cards!! We have a lot of holiday traditions, but I really enjoy wandering through the neighborhood and looking at all the holiday lights. So pretty.

  73. Omg Mayra, I’m so in LOVE with the Ariel theme!! 😍😍 We always love to get everyone together to eat, sing along to Christmas songs & to enjoy just being together 💜

  74. We enjoy making cookies every year, we make one batch of cookies we’ve never made before and 3 of our favorites. I really enjoy the process and eating the cookies!

  75. I LOVE going skating with my friends and family. Also snow shoeing is super fun. We love to do active things outside! But also board games and baking for inside activities.

  76. We have a tradition of going with friends to Oven Grinders in Chicago and then the Zoo Lights at Lincoln Park Zoo.So fun!

  77. A holiday my family and I enjoy is going to Disneyland for Christmas. We love all the decorations and the fun you have there during the holidays. We also love going around our neighborhood and seeing all of the decorations. I love Mayra’s Little Mermaid themed card!!

  78. My daughter, who is now 17 years old, really enjoy decorating the tree together. Although I always complain about “stringing up the lights”, I wouldn’t trade that precious time with her for anything in the world! Love all the adorable cards…especially the one with the kiddos sitting at the table with their cookies, and the doggie looking on…

  79. The grandkids and I put up all my christmas village together. It takes almost a day to do it. They are very particular on how it is all arranged around the house. Love doing it with them now.

  80. As a child I loved making candy cane cookies with my mom and dad. When children came along I continued the tradition and now I gather as many of my grandkids together to make them with me. I always send some to my brother as a childhood Christmas memory.

  81. One favorite holiday activity that I enjoy with my kids is baking and decorating cookies to give to friends and family. Even the littlest one can put sprinkles on sugar cookies. The toughest part is not eating them all!

  82. Awww…such sweet critters in the samples above! Lovely Christmas scenes!!
Our family enjoys being together for Holiday meals. My grown kids and I are learning how to preserve and prepare new things together!! So much fun!

  83. My favorite holiday activity is making all of my own cards and gift tags. I work on the cards all through the year, and tags are started right after Thanksgiving. My family and friends recognize my gifts without even reading the tag, because they’re always unique. Lawn Fawn usually makes an appearance in cards and tags every holiday.
