Design Team Inspiration

Megan‘s tropical details give her Flamingo Floatie card fabulous style! She made it even more fun by adding a Slide on Over Waves interactive element.

Elena created a lovely setting for her Mermazing Mermaid starting with the Sunray Background Stencil! It adds so much depth and light to her underwater scene. Then she included seaweed, coral and bubbles from Shadow Box Card Ocean Add-On. The rocks are from Lift the Flap Meadow and the sentiment is found in Mermaid for You.

Tammy‘s Platform Pop-Up is so adorable! The Sunray Background Stencil is so perfect with the cute Smooth Sailing boats and critters. I just love this sunny ocean scene!

I just love Elise‘s colorful card! It’s so amazing with the beautiful sunray background and inky Stitched Wave Backdrop trimmed to size! The happy Scripty Hello greeting also uses a sentiment from Pool Party.

The cute Mermazing Mermaid is right at home adorning Melissa‘s waterpark-themed layout! She also used All the Dots paper and Pretty Poppies to decorate the page.

Lynnette‘s sunny birthday card is so much fun! The hot pink flamingo takes center stage with the cute Pool Party critters! She used Offset Sayings: Birthday in addition to the sentiment from Pool Party to send a totally fun birthday design!

Marine‘s beautiful card has a cartoon quality that is amazing! She layered Stitched Dens to create the look of an ocean grotto for the Mermazing Mermaid! Then she added colorful fish from Build-An-Aquarium! You will also find the die cut hello that Marine used for the greeting in the Shutter Card set.

Audrey created a beautiful scene for the Flamingo Floatie! For the sky she stenciled sunrays then she stamped some seagulls from Smooth Sailing before adding the Puffy Cloud Frames. The floatie bobs on Stitched Wave Borders while the addition of a googly eye adds so much whimsy!

Kara‘s Mermazing Mermaid is so beautiful in shades of green and blue! Her lovely design combines Stitched Ripple Backdrop and Bayou Backdrop!

Latisha‘s simple design is so much fun with its summery color scheme!

Mindy‘s Mermazing Mermaid card is so full of sunshine! In addition to Sunray Background Stencil, she used images from Ahoy Matey and Mermaid for You!

Flamingo Floatie looks so cute lending design style to Melissa’s scrapbook layout! All the Dots papers also add to the cuteness of the water-themed page!

Grace combined Mermazing Mermaid with cute fish from Build-An-Aquarium to create a Platform Pop-Up card that is so amazing!

I love how the All the Dots paper looks like bubbles in the water! The teal and purple color palette adds so much to Grace’s lovely design!

Yainea created a sunny design with a greeting from Magic Messages! The Sunray Background Stencil creates a sunny backdrop that looks so perfect with the classic pink Flamingo Floatie!

Caly used Sunray Background Stencil to show light rays shining through the ocean depths! Her Mermazing Mermaid scene includes details from Mermaid for You! So adorable!

Kara used the mice from Simply Celebrate Critters in way that is so adorable! They are riding on the Flamingo Floatie while another mouse from Scootin’ By hangs on outside. There’s also a little cutie from Super Star riding on top! This charming design includes the Stitched Wavy Backdrop with beautiful inking!

Here’s another look at Mindy‘s brilliant Flamingo Floatie card! Click HERE to see her video tutorial for this card. The Sunray Background Stencil looks so perfect adding subtle design in the background!

I love how the Sunray Background Stencil adds so much sunshine to a summer card! And that little sloth with the sunglasses makes me smile!

  2. Such cute diecuts! Hard to pick just one place. I love relaxing at Rehoboth beach or hiking in national parks.

  3. Going to the cabin this summer for a relaxing time – we have a cousin that owns one – Yeah! A favorite time to relax in the summer! Beautiful work by the DT

  4. I like going camping for summer getaways. I find the beach is nice in theory but I have a lot more fun camping than I ever do at the beach.

  5. Great cards. My favorite summer getaway is camping at the lake. Fishing, boating, relaxing by the campfire.

  6. My favorite summer getaway is our yearly stay at a cabin on a lake. It’s so relaxing and calming.

  7. Our backyard right to the pool. We put the pool in when our kids were 3 & 5. Now 30 & 32. We always said that was our summer fun instead of a vacation. We do love driving over to Lake Michigan to walk the beach!

  8. My favorite place to go for my summer vacation spot is the Maine coast. It is so beautiful there.

  15. Lakeside in Northern Ontario is my favorite place to spend some time in the summer. Sitting in the bow of a boat with a book just floating on the water is so serene….but in a flamingo floating would be pretty awesome too!

  16. Love that flamingo floatie!! The card with all the mice riding it is adorable! My fave summer getaway is anywhere but hot hot AZ.

  17. Soooo cute. So many wonderful ideas, so little time!! I wish I could craft all day, every day. That would be AWESOME!!

  18. I love Grace’s platform pop-up mermaid scene! I’m still all about that die set! My favorite vacation getaway is any beach. I don’t care which one, as long as it comes with fruity, frozen drinks.

  19. We actually don’t like to vacation during the summer because it’s so hot. When it’s not too hot, we love to go to Bonita Beach on the West coast of So. Florida. Or the FL Keys!

We also used to go to Disney World every summer, but haven’t been since the Pandemic started. We go to the Midwest to visit our friends and go to Six Flags. Since we live near the beach, I love the feel of saltwater and sand. I also love to watch the sunset over the water. It’s so pretty.

  35. Such adorable cards! Love the flamingo floatie and the mermaid!
Avila Beach on the central coast of CA is my pick for a vacation spot!

  36. Later this summer we’re meeting some very good friends in a coastal town. We won’t be competing with their kayaking excursions, or do any camping. Just hanging out in some beach town. Going out to dinner, maybe seeing the aquarium or a few breweries. Relaxing in the sun.

Have I left yet??!!!?

sunsets! I live in New Jersey & loved hanging down the shore fishing/crabbing,
walking on the beach collecting seashells, swimming or sitting watching the
waves while listening to music & catching a tan! 🌞
Lawn Fawn design teams has created amazing summer cards with this release! 🥰

  59. I’m a bit of a wuss when it comes to cold water so I don’t necessarily swim much, but going to a local beach and finding a partially shaded spot to read a book, just watch the wind rustle the leaves above or people watch. 🙂

  60. The floaty Flamingo is so cute!! The only place we ever go in the summer is Word of Life Family Campground (now called the Pines) in upstate New York. Maybe not my favorite getaway, but it does usually turn out to be a good time.

  61. The place we most often go to for summer getaways is actually landlocked: San Antonio, Texas.
It’s where my sister and her family live, and my daughter now is working there for the summer, so it’s always a good place to visit!

  64. I love the beach and mountains, I am not wild about the ocean which is strange but love sunning and playing on the beach. The mountains are fun as well for other reasons. Loved all the items today, a good sunray is always as good thing.

  65. Fantastic projects from these great sets!
My favourite summer getaway is the town I’ve just moved to – on the coast in NSW, Australia!

  77. I usually have to work in summer so I don’t have a favorite vacation spot for summer. But I sure like that flamingo. I already bought that die 😃

  78. My favorite summer getaway would be Alaska, specifically in June. Before the mosquitoes get too bad. Love the mermaid die. Perfect for granddaughter cards!

  79. Our cabin in northern Minnesota. It is an eight hour drive away but so worth it. It is so relaxing with none of the daily grind.

  80. I like going to my sister-in-law’s house in Manly, Sydney, because she’s within walking distance to several beaches – so good in when it’s hot!

  81. Favorite summer vacation spot would definitely be the lake house. Enjoying the sun on my floaty with an ice cold drink, on the calm water.

  82. I love to go to Italy for our summer vacation. Wonderful anciet cities, yummy food, lovely people and the beach. I also loved our vacation in Florida, it’s just a bit far to go there every year. We haven’t made any plans for this year yet since it’s the first time we’ll go without any of your girls and also it will be our 20th wedding anniversary, so we hope to do something special! My vote goes to Mexico. 😉

  83. My favorite vacation spot is spending time on eastern shores of Lake Michigan. Walking the sandy beach looking for neat rocks. And in the evenings sitting on the sand dunes watching the sun set. So very relaxing

The flamingo pool float die makes me think of summer fun.

  84. Adorable inspiration! My favourite getaway (spring or fall, don’t tend to travel during summer peak season), is Orlando for all the theme parks!

  85. We have 4 kids so we’ve always kept our trips very local (except a couple Disney trips, which were very special for them!). However, my husband & I JUST celebrated our 25th this month and we went to Mackinac Island in Michigan!; let my just say, it was amazing to travel by ourselves! It was a wonderful trip and a beautiful place!

  86. I love anywhere warm, tropical, beach, where I can have tropical cocktails with little umbrellas! I love Hawaii because it is all of those but still in the U. S.! I vacationed in Clearwater Beach, FL last year and that is now another one of my favorite places to vacation.

  87. Any beach vacation is my favorite. We like Daytona beach or Sanibel Island. I like just to sit in the beach and watch the waves. So relaxing. I love the flamingo floatie. It is soo cute. Love all the different critters you can use with it.

  88. My favorite vacation spot is the beach. It is my happy place. I love this mermaid! I have made a lot of mermaid cards for my granddaughters.

  89. So my family doesn’t really have a favorite vacation spot but we love to choose new locations to go to during the summer to experience and vacay.

  90. I live in Hawaii….what other place would be a perfect summer get away spot? (don’t hate me for living in paradise lol)

  91. Haven’t been on a vacation in probably 4 years. I guess our favorite vacation spot is home sweet home.

  92. My favorite vacation getaway would be somewhere on the ocean where I could lay in the sand and then swim in the pool at a hotel. LOL! I won’t be picky!

  93. I don’t get to travel because of my husband working and me taking care of my elderly mother and father. If I would get to travel it would be any place with a beach!

  94. I love visiting the National Parks in the summer. Sequoia and Garden of the Gods are the ones that come to mind first.

  95. I live in Michigan so for us, the perfect summer get away is anywhere in the UP – that’s the Upper Peninsula for all you non-Michiganders LOL! There’s not place like the UP! It’s like heaven up there!

  96. Hmmm, I love to travel in general, but I would say in summer I crave places that are cooler (which is most places actually), with less sun or more shade (however way you see it), preferably without mosquitos. So places like the mountains filled with trees and such are nice. Anything to avoid the heat and sun of home. The one exception is that I LOVE the massive rainstorms and lightning shows of the monsoon season…. Those I like being home for.

  97. When I was a kid, I loved spending summer holidays (which here in Australia is at Christmas time) with my grandparents at their holiday unit on the Sunshine Coast. It was only a 5 minute walk to the main beach, we would go seashell hunting in the late afternoon, and if we didn’t want to go down to the beach we would just use the pool at the unit complex. It was so much fun, but when I went back as an adult with my ex-boyfriend, everything was different and just didn’t feel right. I don’t know if I could go back there now.

  98. I love the flamingo floatie. Wish I had a full sized one when I go on vacation in summer. My favorite place is to the beach.

  99. oh wow! wow and woooow!
    so many amazing projects!
