We Wish You a Very Fawny Holiday Week {Day 3}

Hello everyone! Welcome to another special Fawny Holiday Week! We will be sharing inspiring holiday projects by our amazing Fawny family of designers along with videos and daily giveaways! Comment below for a chance to win a stamp set with coordinating dies plus a 6×6 paper of your choice!

It’s Day 3 and our cheerful friend Samantha has Beachy Christmas inspiration for you! Her adorable slimline card features frolicking reindeer at the beach! You can watch the video tutorial below or click HERE to watch at our YouTube channel.

Thank you so much for watching!

Samantha created an awesome beach scene complete with Stitched Wave Borders and a stenciled snowflake background! Then she filled the beach with happy deer from Toboggan Together and Ugly and Bright.

She also used images from Beachy Christmas, Pool Party and On the Beach.

I love the deer in the pool float and also the one in the Santa hat on the surfboard! So adorable!

These happy snowmen will make your gift packages the cutest under the Christmas tree! Tammy layered Outside In Stitched Snowflake with Let it Shine Starry Skies paper as the base. Then she assembled her adorable Build-A-Snowman characters with pretty Knit Picky Winter paper to add on top. Finally, she added the Winter Wavy Saying on a Simple Wavy Banner!

Elena‘s charming card features a “dino-mite” Christmas! She started this fantastic scene with Over the Mountain Borders layered on a dramatic black backdrop. Then she gathered some critters from RAWRSOME adding cute holiday hats to their heads! She filled in the scene with images from Toboggan Together, Furry and Bright, and Mermaid for You. She created the sentiment by combining Offset Sayings: Christmas with RAWRSOME.

Catherine‘s Giant Happy Hanukkah card is so festive and full of holiday fun! The cute mice are enjoying the holiday traditions using images from Love You a Latke and Holiday Party Animal.

She used Snowflake Background Stencils to add a layer of texture on her slimline design!

Then she added hot foiled snowflakes on the bottom layer using Snowflake Background Hot Foil Plate and silvery foil!

Latisha‘s gift tags are so merry and bright they will take your Christmas packages right over the top! She simply layered circles on a Scalloped Circle using colorful patterned papers. Then she added hot-foiled greetings on top using Winter Big Scripty Words Hot Foil Plates! So festive and absolutely fun with the addition of glittery accents!

Karin‘s gorgeous Christmas card is so elegant! She used Let it Shine Starry Skies paper to full effect, pairing it with a metallic gold Snow Flurries Backdrop. She brought in more gold with the simple sentiment, and the trees from Snow Day decorated with gold dots!

Elise’s “Silent Night” Banner

Elise created a beautiful decoration for Christmas using Stitched Party Banners! She inked the banners and stenciled a Starry Sky on each one before adding the Grassy Border. Then she created the title banners spelling out Silent Night, Holy Night in Finley’s ABCs.

She created a sweet Nativity scene using animals from Hay There and You Goat This. For the manger she used a planter box from Some Bunny before she added the kids from Joy to All. In the background, Elise added more stenciling with Sunray Stencil.

This is such a clever idea. You could easily add banners to include more animals, shepherds and angels. Or switch up the theme with Ho-Ho-Holidays and favorite Christmas song!

  1. I had a very small die cutting machine when I first started to craft and was thinking about getting a bigger one when my family surprised me and gifted it to me in Christmas. It was so nice of them and everytime I use it I smile ☺

    1. My favorite gifts are the ones my son made in school when he was little. One of my favorites is a macaroni wreath spray painted gold.

  2. My husband got me a beautiful bracelet on Christmas Eve a few years back. He got it really last minute so I really didn’t have a clue and was very surprised.
I still love it so much ❤️

  3. My favorite gifts are the little notes my husband leaves for me to find. Like a simple ‘I love you’ posted on the notepad on the fridge, or fills up my car just because, often coming home to find he’s done the vacuuming, or laundry or dishes, its the little things that are grateful gifts

  4. Love the cards! They are amazing. A special gift that I received was from friends that took me to see Straight No Chaser for their holiday concert. Such a fun evening filled with wonderful music.

  5. One of my most favorite gifts was made by my daughters in school – it was a small ceramic pot nativity scene. True treasure.

  6. One of my favorite special gifts that I bought for my youngest son would be his compass keychain with a personal engraving on it.

  7. Fun tags, cards and banner, I adore Karin’ green and gold card, so classy. One of my fave gifts was a life sized talking doll I received from my godfather.

  8. A beautiful gift i received years ago was a ceramic Santa Claus cookie jar made by my step-daughter and her step-dad. I cherish it and it is in my craftroom all year round. Brings me joy looking at it!

  11. The favorite gifts are when our adult children write us a special letter from them remembering their childhood. They always bring back wonderful memories.

  12. My husband is a huge NASCAR fan. A few years ago, the kids and I got him a NASCAR experience, where he actually got to drive a race car. I know it was his best gift ever!

  13. My mom gave me a handmade quilt which is the most special gift I have received. It is some thing I will always treasure and pass on to my daughter.

  14. I like to give my son a special book each Christmas. We usually open it on Christmas Eve to read that night before bed.

  15. I remember making a scrapbook for my brother and sister firstborn. Now I have made many, of all my nieces, over the years…love looking back on all those memories.

  16. Love all the inspiration today! I last year I received my Make Art Stay-tion from my family. But the gift I love to give every year is our annual Christmas Eve Box (I change it up a bit every year).

  17. My favourite gift received are the handmade calendars my boys made at school for us when they were 5 and 7. There were awesome drawings for each month. I loved seeing their creativity shine!

  18. I love to give books that I think the recipient will enjoy. If it’s someone who is just learning to read, I love hearing them read the book to me.

  19. My husband was always talking about the records his Dad would play when they were younger. So, one year I surprised him with a record player and all his Dad’s old records. I have officially won Christmas forever : )

  20. I made a large box of assorted greeting cards for a friend last year. This year I am making Christmas tags for her. She loved the cards.

  21. The nativity banner is so cute!
I have received handmade baby blankets from 2 ladies that couldn’t have their own children

  22. In addition to card making I also cross stitch so I have many numerous personalized gifts for people. They are so much work so they are reserved for the extra special.

  23. I am so glad I got the Build a Snowman set. I have gotten a ton of cute ideas for using it. For today’s question: there have been a lot thru’ the years, but one extra memorable one was a family ski trip to Jackson Hole with the entire family from my parents.

  24. My Mom always wanted a doll in a trunk when she was a little girl but never received one and she mentioned it a lot over the years. For Christmas one year “Santa” and I got an adorable vintage Ginny doll with her own trunk and she was waiting under Mom’s Christmas tree on Christmas morning! Such a fun surprise!

  25. One year my hubby and I photoshopped / doctored a Forbes or Time or Money magazine cover to have my dad’s face – a beach shot from the Outer Banks w/ his hair whipping around in the breeze (hilarious) – with the caption “INVESTOR OF THE YEAR” because he was really into playing the stock market, was in an investment club, etc. He ROARED when he saw it. It’s the best gift I have ever given and it gave everyone present the gift of laughter. We laughed until we all cried. Our sides hurt from laughing. You had to be there… trust me, it was a ball.

The items shared and especially Sam’s video are fantastic! Thanks so much!

  26. One year, my siblings and I made a scrapbook for my parents, their anniversary is just a few days before Christmas, so it was a fun keepsake to make and give. They enjoyed it a lot!

  27. My favorite gift ever is the pearl strand that hubby gave me for Christmas one year. He picked out each pearl individually himself and watched the jeweler tie them together. (and my KA mixer!)

  28. I have been very lucky and have received special gifts throughout the years. From a small sewing kit when I was young, which started me on my crafting journey. Last year a Cameo 4 from my daughter. The most special gift was the words my husband said to me 7 years ago when he gave me a necklace for Christmas. I wear the necklace everyday as a reminder of those words.

I am at a loss to know where to begin commenting on the above cards and tags. The colors, the ideas, and the creativity are all so wonderful. Now I wish that I had some of the sets used so that I could copy the cards shown.

  29. The SILENT NIGHT banner is just wonderful! Wonderful!!
We took our grandkids to San Diego for the weekend and went to Sea World and the USS Midway. It was a weekend we will always remember. They like experiences more than toys these days. It was our grandson’s 8th birthday.

  30. Gift I rcvd was Artemis Launch t shirt my younger sister gifted me for my birthday in Oct. Early this morning Artemis finally launched and I’m wearing the t shirt. Temps are in 30s here in N TX so I’m wearing a long sleeve under t shirt.

  31. The best Christmas gift I ever received was when I was 10 years old. My parents gave me a pair of indoor roller skates. We had a roller rink that down the street in our church gymnasium. I would go on Wednesday and Saturday and special days. I think I wore them out. Thanks for the trip down memory lane.

  32. My favourite gift was the surprise diamond earrings my husband bought me to wear on our wedding day. I’d made some earrings to wear but they were no where near as nice as the diamonds!

  33. One of the best Christmas gifts I have given was a picture frame to my parents for their first grandchild’s first Christmas.

  34. Many moons ago a family friend died during the Vietnam war. A year prior he had picked out some neon colored yarns and his Grandmother, who he lived with, had made him an afghan. After he died his Grandmother gifted that afghan to me and told me he wanted me to have it if he didn’t return. 53 years later I still cherish that gift.

  35. A mega-Harry Potter-LEGO-box to my daughter when she was 7-8 years old. And from her a book about Parisian girl Madeline that I got for my birthday this summer….
So many cute cards – they are ALL my favorites!

  36. I remember when I had my first Cuttlebug and did not have much supplies like dies or even paper. My hubby surprised with a Michael’s gift card! YAY!

  37. I made photo albums for my parents and in-laws the year we got married to commemorate our families coming together. It was a really special gift.

  38. I am super excited about a gift for my mom this year. She is getting it early since it is an advent calendar. She is super into quilting and I got her the advent calendar from her favorite place to shop for quilting supplies. She would NEVER get one for herself.

  39. I always make home-made ornament frames with a special picture of the family in a small wooden frame and then decorate them. My family loves them every year.

  40. I’m so excited I’m about to give a painted portrait of my mom’s dog to her for Christmas! She has wanted one since my dad got one of his dog for his birthday!

  41. Love the Silent Night banner! What a great idea! Last Christmas I put together a recipe album with family and close friends recipes for my daughter. She got married last year and I thought it would be a great keepsake. With each section I included a photo of my daughter with the person that shared the recipes. She loved it. In the future I’m going to do an album with all the recipes I’ve collected over the years.

  42. A special gift my husband’s and I have given was the trampoline for my daughter. She wanted one so bad. So we made a glitter trail to outside, it was too heavy to bring in, and we made it seem like it fell off the back of Santa’s sleigh into the backyard. It was so magical for her!

  43. My hubby surprised me and bought me a cricut machine, way back when they first came out. I was shocked because I didn’t even know what those were at the time. I love it still!

  44. A favorite gift for my elderly father was when we converted all his old home movies (8mm reels!) to DVDs. He loved being able to watch those old family videos again.

  45. The best gift I’ve ever given is going to be for my son this Christmas. He has his own woodworking business and I got him a personalized branding iron with his company logo so he can mark all of his creations. Hopefully he will love it. The crafting gene has definitely been passed on.

  46. My best friend made me a beautiful needlepoint that mapped the distance between us (across the continent) with a beautiful sentiment. I burst into tears. I love it.

  47. My best friend made me a beautiful watercolor painting and a letter to go with it. I still have it and it’s been a long time since she gave it to me.

  48. Of course this group would understand how making gifts for others is just the most uplifting feeling you can have. It’s so special to give something that took thought, time and creativity!

  49. The Christmas after my grandpa passed away, my grandmother made special pillows for all the grandkids made out of his old flannel shirts, so that we would each have a little piece of him. It was a very special gift for all of us.

  50. The best gift I got was my daughters and son in law put up Christmas lights on my house for me after many years of not having them.

  51. Beautiful cards!! I bought all 3 of my kids a frame that said You’re my Favorite. Then inserted a picture of myself and them in it. That was kind of a special gift.

  52. The best gift I ever gave someone was buying row 4 tickets to a wrestling show for my brother when we were younger. It was super expensive, but he desperately wanted to go and he was dealing with a lot of health issues so I scraped together the money to buy the tickets. To this day, it is one of our favorite memories to talk about together.

  53. I love these inspiring projects! Sam’s beachy Christmas creations always make me giggle and Tammy’s ornaments are a super favorite!!! My most prized gift I’ve received was my favorite doll as a child. I still have her.

  54. I made a scrapbook for my brother and sister-in-law of their trip to Europe. It included the usual photos, stamped and die cut images and sayings, but also decorated pockets for their ephemera. They loved it.

  55. A special gift I haven’t given yet but am giving this year are hand blown glass stones with my daughter’s ashes incorporated in them. There are 5 of them. I am giving one to my husband, one to my son and one to each of my grandkids (her children) and one for myself. This December 28th will be the 5 year anniversary of her passing.

  56. My favorite gift that I gave was to my daughter , her high school senior scrapbook. I had a secret with this scrapbook. I had a lot of her friends make scrapbook pages. And she was so surprised she cried. She is almost 30 and still comments on how none of her friends told her. Just makes me smile.

  57. Our daughter is born 7 weeks ago and we received a very special present from someone of my family: a poster with the starry sky of the night she was born.

    1. First, I want to say that this blog hop has given me a 4 month newbie so many ideas. Thank you.
When I graduated high school my parents gave me one of two trips. My choice. I could go to the Bahamas with my friends for 4 days or go on an 8 week road trip with my parents out west. It wasn’t hard for me to choose. I choose to go with my parents. I can honestly say that it was one of the best 8 weeks in my life.

  58. My parents got me a cricut way back when they come first came out. It was a tough year for us all and my Mom braved the stores on black Friday to get it for me!

Love the cute banner by Elise I definitely need to make one of these 🙂

  60. Great ideas, I especially love the snow man snowflakes and the nativity banner. Haven’t got a special gift memory right now.

  61. Probably my favorite gift in the past few years was the Memory MISTI (it was on my wishlist and I love my MIL for asking me what I want. I usually give her lots of choices so I don’t know exactly what I’m going to get). It has definitely been the gift that keeps on giving! #2 is my Tim Holtz guillotine paper trimmer! I love 90 degree corners and super straight cuts and that is the only trimmer after years of trial and error that isn’t a total monster and will still cut 12×12 paper when I scrapbook.

  62. Wonderful cards! My favorite gift was a wall hanging shadow box that my husband had made for me that showcases my Dad’s military items plus the flag from his casket. I immediately cried and he said “That’s the response I wanted to see”.

  63. A special gift I have given always comes back to handmade ones! I made some tie blankets for my boys one year and they loved them. Now with a two yearold grandaughter, i have ao many ideas!. Also I’m a rep for Partylite candles so everyone seems to love receiving those too.

  64. A longtime ago, I received my first craft “grown up” project kit for Christmas. My mom put together a box for me to crochet an afghan. I was 12 years old and it contained the yarn, pattern and crochet hook. 40 years later and i still have that afghan. My crafting obsession was begun and I haven’t looked back.

  65. These designs are adorable! I give my friend a photo book every year with pictures from our Halloween Skeleton Selfie trip in my town

  66. I think anything handmade is special – I love the thought, the time and the talent that is expressed in each loving gift. I try to handmake every gift – whether it be a card, a painting or a crocheted friend!

  67. My mom knows my love for hallmark penguins, and gave me a little penguin band. I pull it out every year and it makes me smile.

  68. My dad gave me new summer tires for my car last year for my birthday. Not fun but very much appreciated as it was a big expense.

  69. My husband and I just gave my 96 year old Mother a ramp from her porch to the sidewalk so she doesn’t have to maneuver the stairs. This will help her quality of life and allow her to stay in her home longer. ♥️♥️♥️♥️

  70. One year for Christmas I got a piccolo. It was a really big deal and my parents wrapped it in a much bigger box so I wouldn’t be able to guess what it was.

  71. All time favorite gift was a surprise visit from a dear friend who came over with a bottle of wine just when I needed it! 😉

  72. I did the 12 days of Christmas for a friend. I made each tag and gift wrapped each craft item for her. She loved it. She used the tags to decorate a pine tree in her craft room year round!

  73. A special gift I receive is a unique and limited edition of a Tic Tac from my hubby every time he finds it at the store 🥰

  74. One of my favorite gifts I gave was a necklace for my mom. It was specially made (Etsy) with my grandmother’s handwriting.

  75. When my sons were in middle school and high school, they made me a decorative jar with little papers inside telling me all the reasons they love me on each paper. Wow, did that make me cry.

  76. I and my hubby have been given the gift of life. Thank you Lord! Every day I try to thank Him by helping someone if I can. I’ve recieved handmade cards in my lowest moments (she knows who she is ) .

  77. Just last week I gave my 12 year granddaughter a special made stamp of her signature to stamp on the back of her cards. She was so surprised.

  78. What wonderful samples today! Enjoying the Inspiration Week!
I received a beautiful birthstone ring (aquamarine) from my parents many years ago. Still have it and treasure it!

  79. Really love all of the gorgeous cards and projects show today! They are all so inspiring and the colouring and designs are amazing! I always love seeing what your wonderful designers create and also watching your youtube videos! My husband surprised me a few years ago with a Brother Scan and Cut machine. It has been a blessing to me as I can save so much time doing all of my stamping and then having the machine cut the images out for me. I own a LOT of your stamps and it’s great for all of the small images.

  80. A special gift I received was a stamp company gift certificate. I was touched a non-crafting friend remembered my excitement and the name to order something I could really use!

  81. So many gorgeous projects – I love the nativity banner and Karin’s elegant card! My husband loved the flying lesson I gave him for Christmas one year – so much fun!

  82. I made craft and sweet treat filled advent calendars for my friends. It was so much fun to get pictures every morning of what they found in their calendar each day.

  83. All families have issues. Ours was no different. When my third child was six weeks old, and our boys were 4 and 8, our 8 yr old nephew came to live with us. We made things as fun as we could for him, and his first Christmas living with us, we decided to wrap many boxes for him. Each had a clue to find the next box, even out in the snow! He had a great time and still talks about it, 24 yrs later! We always do fun things like that!

  84. I am loving all the ideas for gift tags! A special gift…anything and everything my kids have made me over the years. They put so much love into everything they make and it warms my heart.

  85. A special gift I got was a handmade sweater from my daughter. It was the same year I made her an advent tree with the tiny gift boxes and knit picky paper. We both have the beautiful gifts but I think the one I received is the best!

  86. Wow, I just love all these designs. I recently bought my husband a Lego BD-1 (it’s a droid from a Star Wars video game that he just LOVES). It was sold out when it was first released, so I was waiting for it to come back in stock. I had found it on eBay, but it was going to cost $40-50 more. When I got the email that it was back in stock, I didn’t hesitate I just ordered it straight away. My husband knew that he was going to get it… at some point, he just didn’t know when and I didn’t tell him when I ordered it. So when it arrived and I brought it home during my lunch break, he was confused at the big box… until he opened it. The tears of pure joy were unmatched! We set up the folding table in the lounge room and he set to work at building BD-1 while I went back to work. When I came home at the end of the day he was just finishing it… he was so happy, I don’t think I’ve seen him that happy in a long time. BD-1 now sits on top of our short bookcase in my husbands computer room, and still he brings tears of joy to my husband. Totally worth it!

  87. I’m so excited! I just finished making my advent calendars for my granddaughters for Christmas! Giving them to them on Thanksgiving. Will facetime with 2 of them here and the other one in Florida! Can’t wait!!!

  88. I am happy to particpate in our small community toys for tots giveaway each Christmas season. A community chairperson decorates a tree with gender/age tags that the community takes, fills the need, and returns to the chairperson. Then there is a day close to Christmas when we are invited to help wrap the gifts and load them into a truck to be picked up by the parents of the children. I love being a part of the giving, gathering and wrapping each year.

    1. My little nephew passed away so I made my sister a memorial tribute blanket, picture frame, cups and card’s of my nephew I think that was the most special gift I have given

  89. Love all the inspiration and joy I get from seeing these cards. My favorite gift comes from friends who tell me how much my cards mean to them because they seem to arrive when they need them most. I feel very blessed to make someone’s day.

  90. My little nephew passed away so I made my sister a memorial tribute blanket, picture frame, cups and card’s of my nephew I think that was the most special gift I have given

  91. One of the best gifts I ever received was when I was 10 and I received a giant jar of pickles. I know it sounds funny but I’m from a large family and to have a jar of my favorite snacks to myself was a treat!! Love the Christmas banner

  92. I think the most special gifts to receive are that of time. At my age I can buy what I need but time with friends and loved ones is priceless.

  93. Every year at Christmas, my parents gave me an ornament. Now that I am grown with my own family I cherish each one when I decorate my tree and each one has a beautiful memory attached to it. I will cherish these long after my wonderful parents are gone! ♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️

  94. I was surprised with Lego Hogwarts a few Christmas’s back and it was so exciting! Definitely a favorite gift.

  95. I’m a big fan of experiences as gifts. I got Angels tickets to see Shohei in Anaheim, we made a girls trip and had a wonderful time!

  96. There has been a couple special gifts, one that comes to mind is, my parents giving me a teddy bear as a small kid. I still have it.

  97. A couple of years ago, my college-age kids gave me a little book for Christmas…it was a book of handwritten notes that I could open and read throughout the year…on my birthday, on Aug. 31 (just a random day they picked!), on a day I need a pick-me-up – just to name a few!
It was really sweet and I’ve reread the notes several times. ❤️ A keepsake, for sure!

  98. Oh what fabulous creatijons. One of the most memorable Christmas gifts that I have ever received was a Bible that had my initials on it. My college sweetheart gifted it to me.

  99. I received a pair of cowgirl boots from my son and daughter last year, my favorite ones were ruined in a fire the past year. To get a gift from them was special as is, but getting my favorite boots again when I thought all hope was lost 🥰…special!

  100. Wow! So many cute ideas! I don’t usually think of using pink shades for the background but they sure are beautiful! May need to try that!

  101. I think the most fun gift I ever made was something I put together for my best friend.
I bought a knitting pattern, then wrote a story about a Racoon meeting a Unicorn who was teaching it how to knit, I had split up the pattern into 4 parts so that the end result was a mystery.
I also gave her the yarn to make it and I bout it for myself so that we could have a yarn adventure together.
(This was in 2020 when it was hard to do stuff together with someone)

  102. I made a scrapbook for my grandma about her family. I interviewed her 10 brothers and sisters and got stories from when they were young and about their life on the farm. She was in tears when she opened it! We gave a copy to my mom too.

  103. I created a scrapbook for my dad’s photos as he’d lost so many. I asked him questions about his life so I could detail it in his album.

  104. These cards are really creative . I have several friends I would the that beautiful happy Hanukkah set to create beautiful cards for. Beautiful work team!

  105. I gave my sister a photo album filled with printed pictures of her and her family that I had from various holidays and visits. She could scrapbook them or just have as an album to enjoy! She loved it!

  106. Oh wow I love these projects!
A favourite gift was given to me by my husband when my now nearly 20 year old son was a baby – a Starbucks re-usable mug with a lid … so my cups of tea wouldn’t get cold!

  107. My favorite gift so far has been the homemade Christmas ornaments my two kids made while in kindergarten but I also loved my engagement ring from my husband many years ago one Christmas Eve 🙂

  108. I love giving experience gifts. I’ve given my mum a hang-gliding experience for her 60th that she loved, and my dad an indoor skydiving season that he also loved. 🙂

  109. My greatest gift was given to me, by God, my precious baby boy. We went through infertility and lost all 3 pregnancies had come to the conclusion we would be childless and we were ok with that; then one day we received a call from our infertility Dr that our name was at the top of the adoption list and we needed to contact this attorney. We applied for the private adoption and was told that out of the 7 couples we were chosen by the birth parents. It has been a blessing ever since then and he is now 27 years old. God is good! I enjoyed all of these cards and tags today!

  110. my favorite gifts to give are always ones that are sentimental, I made a book for a special boss of everything I had learned from them over many years of working together.

  111. My husband made a clock out of an old CD for me with all my favorite things on it: Tweety bird, purple, lilac roses, music. He did it for me because he saw me making about 12 of them to give as gifts one year. I cried – I was so touched!!

  112. Lily, our miniature schnauzer, is our most precious gift! We brought her home on Dec. 23rd, four years ago. She’s a constant source of joy and laughter! Love my girl infinity x infinity!

  116. I’m a big Peanuts fan, and one year a co-worker gave me a Hallmark musical figurine. It was Lucy playing the flute. I had played my flute at one of our work holiday parties, and it was so special that she saw the figurine and thought of me.

  119. Yesterday, I could not leave a comment because of a loss! I have a gold cross that I rec’d
the day my father was put to rest! I have a Christmas Santa & reindeer that my parent purchased
as a baby & then my 1st Christmas present from my boyfriend/husband mouse dressed up as
    Santa Clauss, ornament!

  120. Unexpected gifts are the best. I honestly love giving my best friend (who is a guy) gifts because he hates it. That’s weird, I know. He doesn’t buy anyone gifts nor does he really receive gifts so I love buying him something special.

  121. I made many cross stitched angel ornaments for my mother-in-law through the years. She passed away and I was gifted back all the ornaments I had done for her. It was such a blessing and brought back many good memories of Christmas’s past. Loving the tags! That snowman is just so cute!

  122. One year in college I made operation Christmas child shoe boxes in the one honor of both my parents and took a picture of their respective boxes to give them on Christmas.

  123. A favorite memory is the time I was a secret Santa for a friend of mine. She was between jobs and money was tight. We are both quilters and there was a kit for a quilt that she loved, but couldn’t afford at that time. I arranged with the shop owner to ship it to her with no ID other than Santa. She suspected that it was from me, but I’ve never admitted to being the secret Santa.

  124. I made my Great Niece and Great Nephew each photo albums and they could put any pic’s in it that they wanted. They had gone to the zoo and the pic’s were great as I used animal prints for the albums.

  125. A few years ago before I retired from teaching school my daughter was afraid that I wouldn’t have anything to do so she gave me a few Lawn Fawn stamps and die cuts for Christmas. That gift is very special because now I can give use them to brighten others lives.

  126. I found a very cool maestro mouse table decor for my son. You can actually choose which song it plays based on which tiny little sheet music piece you put on the little piano shelf. It’s adorable!

  127. A friend of mine was getting married near Xmas and she loves Game of Thrones. My boyfriend and I wanted to give her an extra special gift so we went online and learnt how to create a wooden chest and dragon eggs with air dry clay. I did the eggs, he did the chest and we both helped each other painting. They looked incredible and everyone was very impressed when we gave them to her. For me, the best part about giving gifts is the person’s face when they receive them.

  128. I’m that mushy Mom- my favorite ”gifts” are my kids. It wasn’t an easy journey so they are definitely loved and appreciated. I treasure all the cards and gifts that they have made for me.

  129. When I think back, I feel like anything my kids and my parents get me are always my favorite especially when I never knew about it beforehand and it is a surprise. Those are my most cherished. I love the banner and the Hannukah card. My boss is Jewish and I always struggle to make a card for him. This one is super cute!

  130. One of my favorite gifts that I made and gave was a scrapbook for my husband’s grandparents in honor of their sixtieth anniversary. I interviewed his grandmother about how they met and their early years and was able to scan a number of their old photos. The scrapbook turned out really well and they both loved it!
