Lawn Fawn Video {5.9.23} Kara Cute as a Button Card with an Altered Image

We are buzzing with excitement; tomorrow is the Big Giveaway and the start of May 2023 Mini Release Week!! Our new products will be available on May 18th! Until then we will introduce all the awesome new products with Intro videos (with premieres), Design Team inspiration and daily giveaways! We hope you will fly on back here for all the release week fun! (For a little sneak peek, check out this video!)

Kara has another creative design to inspire us today! This time she shows us how to alter an Easter image to use any day all year! You can watch the video tutorial below or click HERE to watch at our YouTube channel.

Thanks so much for watching!

I think Kara’s card design is cute as a button! And I love the pretty colors she chose too! She started her design with Simple Stripes: Portrait cut from Ballet Slippers, Guava and Sticky Note cardstock.

Then she stamped the single button from How You Bean Buttons Add-On several times with Jet Black ink. And then she added coordinating colors of ink using the solid button stamp.

Kara also added great detail to her sentiment by adding shading to the white embossed letters with Copic markers.

Kara altered the Eggstraordinary Easter image (see photo below) by cutting the bunnies away from the Easter egg. So now they can carry the How You Bean mason jar filled with buttons.

Check your stash for images of critters holding something to see if you can alter it to have them hold something else! Just one more way to get more out of your sets!

Thanks so much for sharing another brilliant card design, Kara!

  1. The shading under the embossed sentiment is so neat. I love the bunnies holding onto the jar, this card is as cute as a button. ❤️

  2. Just watched Kara’s video. I love listening to her… She is funny! And the card is so pretty!

  3. I’m very much looking forward to seeing the entire new May Release. How exciting.
    This card is darling.

  4. This is so cute … and what a great idea to make the bunnies hold the jar – it makes that set so versatile!!

  5. I love this release. The buttons stamp is adorable. I think it would be cute to take thread and make to holes and tie a bow on them.

  6. I love the buttons, I have the stamp and die set of the jar (even the shaker), and the various options, i.e. buttons, stars, hearts and mints. I made one with stars, but the background of the card was “dark matter”. I am Company Secretary of Stawell Underground Physics Laboratory Ltd (in Australia) and the Laboratory has recently been constructed. The project will be researching into dark matter.
