Build-A-Drink Root Beer Add-On Inspiration

Tammy‘s root beer floats look so yummy! I love the red striped straws and the cherries on top! And of course, the Henry’s ABCs punny greeting is a win as well! The Pint-sized Patterns Summertime blue paper in the background looks so awesome with the pops of red!

Megan used the new Draped Ribbons Stencil to create this amazing backdrop! Her frosty mug of beer is so perfect with a Henry’s ABCs “cheers”! And the sentiments from All the Speech Bubbles send a celebratory message!

Send Dad a Father’s Day card that will put a smile on his face! Mindy added a cool red brick stenciled background that highlights the beer mugs. Then she created a greeting using Happy Happy Happy! So simple but so perfect!

Grace got so creative using Magic Color Slider to show the Build-A-Drink Root Beer mug going from empty to full! I love how her beautiful design includes layers of Pint-sized Patterns Summertime paper!

When you pull the tab, the mug starts to fill with yummy root beer!

Grace always adds so much fantastic detail to her cards including the cherry from Build-A-Drink Cocktail Add-On and the straw from Build-A-Drink Mason Jar Add-On! She also used one of the new Stitched Sentiment Banners for the message from Garden Before ‘n Afters.

Yainea‘s card is so amazing! The beer mugs look so refreshing with the water droplets on the “glass”! She stenciled the background with our new Bunting Background Stencils. And Scripty Cheers looks so awesome layered on a Bannertastic banner!

Build-A-Drink Mason Jar Add-On: Lantern Inspiration

Audrey‘s amazing Build-A-Drink Mason Jar Add-On: Lantern design glows with happiness! She inked the Snowy Backdrop so it has glowing light from the Little Fireflies against a nighttime sky! Just so gorgeous!

Marine‘s lantern design takes it a step further, making the mason jar a shaker filled with glowing confetti! She added fun color and lots of whimsy with the little fireflies included the in the Build-A-Drink Mason Jar Add-On: Lantern set! And the perfect sentiment is found in Little Fireflies!

Mindy‘s mason jar lantern is truly magical with the addition of our sweet Fairy Friends! I love how the lantern is hanging on a branch from A Bug Deal, it’s so clever! Mindy spelled out magical with Cole’s ABCs!

I love how Elena paired the mason jar lantern with Giant Make a Wish! They are so perfect together! She used lots of metallic gold cardstock and it looks so special! And the colors she used for the background are beautiful, the green glow is amazing!

Elise created a fun nighttime scene with lots of cute fireflies that is so charming! She used colorful cardstock that she inked to add shading and depth. This card really makes me smile with a sentiment from Whoosh, Kites!

For her design, Rebecca used our new Quilted Star Backdrop which she inked up with glowing light! It’s so perfect with the star-filled lantern!

  1. Milkshake/parfait (Tulip Sundae Cups) with oreos, sprinkles, chocolate chips or chocolate chunks, marshmallows, hot fudge

  2. Get out! It’s all so adorable and fun! Food and drink is one of my favorite categories. There are so many possibilities for add ons for drinks….. milkshakes, sweet tea, any kind of nightcap, sangria, dare I say moonshine?😂 even plain water, we seem to be in the hydration age lately with all kinds of high quality drinking vessels.

  3. Maybe a wine glass or champagne glass. When I meet with my friends, we drink wine instead of cocktails.

  4. A margarita glass and a stand alone taco with food tray/taco stand plate would be a wonderful combo. :). You could also make a stand-alone shrimp for shrimp cocktails and a small condiment bowl for the sauce. ;). Gosh! I must have missed dinner/breakfast!

  5. Those root beer floats look so delicious! What about a coffee mug or to-go coffee cup with marshmallows (with faces?) and coffee beans.

  6. I think a sundae/parfait glass would be a cute addition to the “drink add on” dies. But also a water bottle idea could be cute for a sport themed card.

  7. Love the root beer add-on, I would like to make a Father’s Day or birthday card for my dad….he loves a good root beer!!

  8. I love the new Build-a-Drink – Rootbeer and the new Mason Jar – Lantern add-on. Both give me plenty of creative options. I’d love to see a Build-a-Drink – Martini Coupe. I love this style of glass and use it for all kinds of things – shrimp cocktail, fruit cocktail and, of course, desserts!

  9. I agree with others who have mentioned a champagne flute! A bottle to go with it? Perfect for NYE and weddings… think of the sentiments… champage problems… bubbles puns… “pop” puns… sounds fun to design!

  10. Love this add on! I would like to suggest a champagne flute and wine glass set…. for wine, sparkling wine, mimosas! I like the margarita glass idea as well.

  11. Love the idea of a milkshake ice cream parlor glass. Love both of these additions to the Build-a-Drink line up. Amazing projects from the design team.

  12. I think a bottle add-on set would be cute! You could make cute sodas and it’d be fun to make Father’s Day cards for your “pop”!

  13. Wow lots of great ideas above. I like the champagne flute idea and the milkshake idea and smoothies hee hee💚💚💚💕

  14. I love this! It will be perfect for my son-in-laws birthday card. And it’s versatile, too. Like many others I would like to see a milkshake add-on.

    1. Oh, hit enter too fast. I think the milkshake idea is awesome, but also think using the mason jar for something around canning with the vegetables would be awesome too.

  15. I like the idea of milkshake and parfait glasses as well as champagne glasses and wine glasses, both red and white!

  16. A fluted glass with themed charms on the stem. Like a heart for Valentine’s Day or snowflake for Christmas/winter or pumpkin for fall!

  17. My friend Anna says, “boba + alcohol = cocktail.” I love that equation! But I also like champagne flutes—so versatile. Thinking of Sunday morning mimosas. 😁

  18. These new sets are so amazing! That Quilted star backdrop has so much potential and rhat mug, love it!
I would like to see a old fashioned glass with ice, shot glasses, stemless tumblers or dessert/sundae coupes are other ideas that would be fun.

  19. Champagne, margarita or wine glass would all be nice. Maybe an add on to the mason jar with lady bugs.

  20. Don’t know if this qualifies but I’d love a soda bottle. Then perhaps a hamburger die or hot dog die to go with it.

  21. For Build a Drink, how about a soup cup/bowl? You could have some “souper” ideas to come from it! LOL!

  22. I think you could have a lot of fun with a bloody mary add-on. There are so many things that stick out of a Bloody Mary – onion rings, chicken drumsticks, celery, shrimp, etc.

  23. I don’t have any ideas. However, I am confident that you all do and I will want whatever you release next!!

  24. love these so much and I am waiting for something COFFEE or iced coffee related… and I want the mice to be making coffee, adding the sugar, playing in piles of beans! Everyone loves Lawn Fawn and everyone loves coffee!!!

  25. I would love a martini add on… plus there are so many fun punny martini sentiments. I would also love to see a terrarium add on to the mason jar set…

  26. I love the new firefly add on!! MUST HAVE. I think adding a straw and little umbrella to make a tropical drink would be great. Make it festive and so many things you could do with different papers!! Maybe also some ice cubes you could “drop” in the glass to put together the full look.

  27. Soda shoppe! Shakes, sundaes, smoothies, with add ins…. Fruit, boba, toppings, sprinkles, etc.

  28. Squeee! This Rootbeer Float set is amazing! That is one of our favorite treats. Always a hit to have a Rootbeer float. Other drink options could be chocolate and vanilla shakes, in those metal cups; cucumber and fruit infused water, like at a spa; or maybe big glass of ice water with lemon slices!

  29. I’d like a cold drink cup like you get drinks from Starbucks with the screw top lid and straw.

  30. The root beer float is awesome! And I love the fireflies! For a build a drink option, fruit smoothies and lemonades would be fun. I’d also try to make one of those kid drinks that has a gummy shark floating in it.

  31. Ice cream sundae in parfait glass cold be cute. Lots of colorful sprinkles, whipped cream and a cherry on top!
Love the fireflies!! Reminded me on my childhood in VA.

  32. I think it would be cute to add a topper to the mason jar build a drink that looks like a cloth with a ribbon around it. I hope that makes sense.

  33. I love the root beer add on, I love the idea of a margarita or martini glass with some more garnishes like olives and a slice of pineapple.

  34. I love the lights in the jar! Here is my idea: craft supplies in a jar. I have mason jars on my work space with scissors, pencils, paintbrushes, blending brushes, tape, etc.

  35. Milk shake with the old fashioned glasses…something with whipped cream and ice cream scoops. Maybe bloody mary style with shrimp, bacon, celery

  36. For the mug, I would make an add on of a spoon and sprinkles for hot /cold coffee drinks, and hot chocolate. For the mason jar, you could bring back the Summer Time Charm set and add-ons. Next take off the wire handle, and add on things like sugar packets and a spoon to make southern tea and lemonade. You could also make sentiments like “Bless Your Heart” and “Sit a Spell”. “Southern Waterford” for the mug (like Waterford Crystal) just for jokes. Of course more sweet bugs.

  37. Root Beer floats were my favorite growing up. We would get them at Woolsworth at the counter.

  38. I do like all the ideas – especially milkshakes and bobo! Martini would be fun with cute olives! And a choco martini too!

  39. A mini terrarium scene would be adorable. Mushrooms, snails, ferns and the possibilities are endless.

  40. Definitely a martini glass and a milkshake/cream soda glass the old fashioned kind. The design team inspiration is amazing!

  41. I would have said beer, but since you have that covered now, I would say champagne flutes for celebrations and perhaps a martini glass with little olives?

  42. I love these new add-on sets! I like the idea of a milkshake, margarita, wine and champagne add-on!

  43. Ditto to milkshakes and ice cream sundaes. I’m so excited for the root beer mug. We have our own mugs and always have them in our freezer for root beer floats any time someone drops by. Frosted mugs are the best. Great refreshing treat!

  44. Maybe a wine glass or champagne glass add on would be nice with little fruits and such to add to the glasses.

  45. I love the glass for beer – it will be perfect for my father, who loves beer.
I like Frozen Margarita, so I would like to see this glass here.

  46. I agree with all of the milk shake, wine glass, champagne flute ideas!
But someone else posted they would like a candle for inside the mason jar. That would be so pretty with some simple sprigs or berries for Christmas.

  47. I would think some type of beverage. I do love the idea of a milkshake, Ice cream sundae with toppings

  48. Absolutely love this series of die cuts.
Now, you need something for the wine drinkers, such as a bottle of wine and two wine glasses or margarita glasses

  49. I would maybe say a freakshake? We have these in the uk, super thick milkshakes with ice cream and treats on top!

  50. I’m super excited for these dies! I love the beer/root beer idea. I’m also thinking shamrock shakes would be adorable in the mug! And the lantern is super fun too!

  51. A milkshake one or Martini one would be awesome. The root beer one is very cute. I love the foam on top. You could always add ice cream to it to make a root beer float. You guys come up with some great ideas.

  52. I think a champagne flute would but fun and celebratory – New Years cards, wedding cards… lots of options!

  53. I am new to the build-a-drink series, so I think cocktails would be a nice idea – like fancy glasses.

  54. Not sure about another build a drink, but a soda bottle would be nice or build a banana split/sundae would be fun.

  55. I’d love to see a milkshake add on.
The rootbeer float reminds me of coke floats that my grandpa used to make me as a child

  56. I love the mason jar set! Build a drink with any type of fruit is what I love! Thanks for sharing!

  57. Love that this can double up: rootbeer and beer!
How about a tiki tumber for those fun umbrella drinks?

  58. What about a cup that has little add-on “decals” to choose from to resemble a kids cup (e.g. a train, ballerina, butterfly, baby blocks, etc…)!

  59. I’d love a milk shake add-on with one of those glasses with a foot and becoming wieder towards the top with a wavy edge. You could turn those into amazing ice cream cups, too – perfect to go with the Sweet Treat Cart stamps!

  60. I have to get in on the milkshake bandwagon. There’s a place near me that puts a whole cupcake on top of your milkshake. Or a whole ice cream bar. Little cookies, chocolate bars, gummy bears, etc would be great to top it off with.

  61. Wow! All the cards created by your design team showcase the add-ons so well Love the wee fireflies – so cute! So many wonderful suggestions but I will have to go with Margarita (perhaps with items that work well for Cinco de Mayo).

  62. I love the build-a- root beer set! Build-a-smoothie would be a cute addition, or maybe building a milkshake!

  63. Wow, so many great ideas 😉💕. The only thing I can think of that’s different from others is a snow globe add-on ❄️☃️.

  64. I’d love a set of just accessories for build a drink. I’m not going to use the cocktail set, but would love the cherry.
Extra fruit and straw choices would be nice.

  65. It would be great to see a milkshake add-on. But it would be awesome to have additional toppings options to make all the monster shakes offered now. I’m thinking along the line of Crazy Masons. They make fantastic shakes in mason jars.

  66. Love these additions to the glasses sets! I like the idea of an old fashioned ice cream parlor glass.

  67. I think a margarita glass would be great. You could have a rainbow of margaritas, and there could be a texture one, so you could have frozen or on the rocks margaritas.

  68. Maybe a frostie/ slurpee type swirl for on top. Fun side attachments for drinks that already exist. Hanging critters, sweats, holiday something etc.

  69. I really really want a Boba tea drink set, either stamps or die set. All of the teenagers I make cards for love Boba Tea.

  70. I think it would be really fun to make holiday drinks and little things extras for different holidays.

  71. Remember when we use to give drink mixes, cupcake mixes, cookie mixes etc in a jar as gifts. I’ve also given bath goodies and homemade cleaners in mason jars.

  72. A martini glass with a little olive would be cute! An add on to make some shaker boba tea would be really cool too!

  73. Another build a drink add on set could be ice cubes and milk shake add-ons like cone pieces, gummies, candies, straws, etc. that you see on all of those fancy over the top shakes. Maybe some additional dripping types for the rim of the glass.

  74. Filling the glass with scoops of ice cream or salt that can go down the rim of the glass for a margarita or maybe umbrellas, lemons, oranges slices to make different drinks.

  75. SWOON!! LOVE this FUN NEW Set and ALL of the AMAZING Inspiration!!
I’d LOVE to see a FUN Curved Low Ball Drink Set with some Add-ons like Olives, a smaller Straw, Blackberry and a Stitched Napkin!! It would also be FUN to have a Cocktail Shaker Set with all of the different tools and then a VERY FUN Punny Sentiment Set to go along with it for ALL Occasions one might NEED a Drink for!! I also feel like a BEAUTIFUL Pitcher Shaker Set would be FUN!! CAN’T WAIT to see what you create NEXT!!

  76. How about a Build-a-Drink Champagne glass. I envision the little mice using it as a little pool. It would be good for
    weddings and other celebrations.

  77. I think you should have a Blender Brush die set that can be cut in multiple colors and then stored in the jar. That’s how I organize some of my blender brushes. It would be a really cute set!

  78. My idea for a new Build-A-Drink is an Old Fashioned Ice Cream Parlor Milkshake Glass with scoops of ice cream and whip cream that fit inside the glass. ♥️

  79. I am fond of the drink glass and jar. I can picture a tiny garden growing in that jar or some yummy jam with a cute label.
