Design Team Inspiration

The design team has made the most amazing samples! We also have a video at the end showcasing some fun ways of using all these new goodies! Remember to click on the person’s name to see all of the details and then leave these wonderful DT girls some comment love!

The Riverside Backdrop: Landscape is the perfect place for Elena‘s “capy” birthday party! She combined both Capybaras! and Capybaras! Add-On to fill this fun scene with so much cuteness!

It’s a very “capy” day in Marine‘s brilliant Capybaras! and Capybaras! Add-On scene! She filled the stream with water lilies and cattails from several sets including Swan Soirée and Toadally Awesome. In the background she added Stratus Clouds. And she brought in a couple of extra birds from Heart Tree and It’s a Bird to join the one from Capybaras!

Marine recreated her amazing landscape design on a Riverside Backdrop: Portrait and they are both so amazing!

Lynnette used colorful cardstock to cut out the Riverside Backdrop: Portrait elements. She borrowed the cute tree from the landscape set to fill in the scene. I just love the cute Capybaras playing in and beside the river while the little one from the add-on set snoozes!

Megan used the Riverside Backdrop: Landscape as a sandy road instead of a river! In her adorable scene she included a log from Simply Celebrate Hangouts and trees from Kanga-rrific Add-On!

Yainea’s Capybaras! card is so cute! She created a sweet vignette on a circle using a pond from Bayou Backdrop! She used Ocean Wave Accents to cut the wavy slits in the water! I love the cute capy balancing the orange on his snout! And the orange Fruit Salad petite paper creates the perfect background!

Audrey‘s Riverside Backdrop: Portrait scene is so amazing! I love the all the shading and detail she created. And the Cattails Border pairs perfectly with her adorable Capybaras! scene!

The Capybaras! are enjoying a day at the beach in Mindy‘s charming design! Using Riverside Backdrop: Landscape, she made a sandy shoreline. Then she added cute beachy elements from On the Beach and Pool Party! So much fun!

Grace‘s “capy” birthday scene is so clever and fun! She used the party hats and noise maker from Capybaras! making it a festive party! She paired the sentiment with Henry’s ABCs to emphasize the punny greeting! And then she added fun details with a Stripes ‘n Sprinkles frame and a stenciled Sunray in the background.

Tammy‘s card is so cute with a capybara family celebrating a birthday! She combined Capybaras! with the little frog from Capybaras! Add-On and arranged the happy scene on a Riverside Backdrop: Landscape!

Latisha used colorful cardstock to give the Riverside Backdrop: Portrait scene a cartoon quality! And the cute capybaras look right at home along the banks of the river! She included the trees that are found in the Riverside Backdrop: Landscape set.

Our favorite guest designer used soft coloring and inking to create a sweet Capybaras! birthday scene with Riverside Backdrop: Landscape!

Mindy combined Toadally Awesome and It’s a Bird with Riverside Backdrop: Portrait! The combinations of critters to fill this versatile backdrop are limitless!

Both of the Riverside Backdrop sets are great for combining with Stitched Mountain Borders! Here we made a perfect background for the cute moose of Dad + Me!

  1. I’d love to see a Red Panda in a future set. Not a critter but I’d like to see some larger people sets too (superheroes, princess, sports players etc)

  2. I would love to see prairie dogs. I recently got to see them up close when visiting Custer State Park in the Black Hills, South Dakota. I would also love to see more kitties! Thanks for being awesome!!

  3. LF already has so many cute critters that it is hard to think of another one to add to the collection. Gorillas would be fun to add to the jungle mix.

  4. I wish they would bring more yeti sets, or even the fairies. My favs are still the adorable mice though. lol.

  5. You already have so many cute animals, maybe chipmunks in different positions like your squirrel set. Maybe an owl set or different fish set like trout, bass, catfish.

  6. I think a possum family (adult and babies) with their hanging tails or also a meerkat family to go with the desert set/backdrop that already exist. Also a raccoon set highlighting camping would be hysterical and need a cute tent and they could join the already existing bears/sweet den family on a woodland getaway!!!

    1. So many good ideas for critters shared already. Love the suggestions for gorillas, pigs and Prairie dogs. The capybaras are adorable and I love the Riverside Backdrop.

  7. I live in Texas, and we have some cool critters. I would love to see some Prairie Dogs. They are so cute. And our state animal…the Armadillo. He would be a cute addition. And though they don’t live in Texas, some highland cows would be adorable.

    1. So many cute critters already, but I’d love to see polar bears, zebras, turtles and tropical birds and fish.

    1. Red pandas, sea creatures, hummingbirds, chipmunks, and I saw a comment about a possum family and the babies hanging by their tails I agree that is an amazing idea!!! And as always more cats!

  8. So many good ideas for critters shared already. Love the suggestions for gorillas, pigs and Prairie dogs. The capybaras are adorable and I love the Riverside Backdrop.

  9. Amazing inspiration today! I would love to see more bunnies outside of the easter type stamp sets. I would also love to see more zoo animals like otters, red pandas, tigers, lions, giraffes.

    1. Not a new critter, but a set with Monkeys would be cute! I’d also love to second on what some other commenters are saying about: stingrays, tigers, otters, possums, armadillos, camels, and badgers. But let’s be honest – we’ll love ANY new critters you come out with!

  10. Love critters, maybe deer! But I’d also like to see more humans. Like the ones on Screen Time or Bicycle built for you sets! Facing different directions and with different hairs and clothes!

  11. You already have so many cute animal sets. Maybe Tiger salamanders, roadrunners, more wolves, dragons, …
    Love the new riverside backdrops!

    1. This capybara set is so super cute! And the backdrop die wil give so much opportunities! I have no clue on this moment for a new critter, but saw a lot of good suggestions in the comments

  12. Omg the capybaras are way too cute! I will for sure purchase these. I would love to see Quokkas from Australia. Thanks for a chance to win!

  13. Anteaters, aardvarks, or echidnas would be cool. I also love the idea of raccoons and chipmunks for more familiar animals.

  14. Hard to come up with unique animals that you haven’t already done so I will go with animals my grandkids like–meerkats and dolphins.

  15. These little capybaras are SO cute!! I would love to see more larger feline friends (tigers, lions, panthers, etc!)

  16. The capybaras are so adorable and all of the cards are simply amazing & fun. You have so many critters … anything different and exotic (so many bird species from Asia!).

  17. How about an Eagle-in a variety of poses?! especially with your new background water die-it could be sitting in a tree watching for fish, diving in to grab a fish , or flying in the sky and the mouse with binoculars could be watching it.

  18. My niece is really into horses right now so I would love a horse set. I would also love more people in the larger size especially some first responders to go with my village heroes set, race cars for the critters or some critters playing hockey.

  19. I love the critters stamp sets! I would love sea otters. They are so cute! I grew up in Alaska and used to see them all the time. Fun and playful animals, who are also very sweet.

  20. i’ve never heard of a chupacabra before lawn fawn lol. gee what critters has lawn fawn NOT yet tackled?? maybe some different sorts of birds – hummingbirds, pelicans, herons, etc.

  21. Hmmm…a new critter? That’s a tough one! I googled critters and scrolled through various images and every time I see a cute one I realize that you already have a stamp of that critter. I know you have a whale image in one of the stamp sets…but what about specifically orca whales? Tigers?

  22. Love the Capybaras but I would love to see some critters that have more colours, like different types of birds/parrots. Thanks for the chance to win.

  23. You have sooo many cute critters already, but….I would love to see different birds( tropical, hummingbirds) also pretty moths and butterflies.

  24. Its hard to choose but I would love to see a quail set. Mamma daddy and all the little babies would be so adorable!

  25. Cute cards! I like surprises but what ever new creature is chosen I would like to see the flip flop of then also more flip flops of the older sets.

  26. Such cute cards with these capybaras, and I love the new backdrop!
I’d love to see a giraffe set!

  27. It would be wonderful to have a set of baby animals, all mixed together, puppies, kittens, dinosaurs, bears…

  28. These capybaras are adorable!! Can’t wait to get my hands on this set! I agree that giraffes, monkeys, moose, or polar bears would make a nice addition to the LF line.

  29. I would love to see another moose, a tiger, or a zebra! I love the “love ya bunches,” exclusive, but I think your regular line up needs more monkeys for those that didn’t get that set in the past. I absolutely love that riverside backdrop. I can see many ways to use it, and love it!

  30. I would love to see some red pandas! Okay, chipmunks and moles, too. And quokkas!!! Yup, that already sounds like a party!

  31. I’d love to have you do more of the following…well really all of the following: moose, tiger, zebra, hippo, rhino, giraffe, meerkat, or apes.

  32. Quail – Quail you be mine? Hope you have a “quail” of a birthday!
Horse – this is a really iconic animal and a part of so many people’s lives and I don’t feel like you’ve featured horses since the pandemic began. Maybe there was a site featuring horses before, but I don’t remember one and I pay a lot of attention to LF.

  33. My fav is all the mice sets that are interactive with each other. Would like to see more sets like them with other critters.

  34. You already have so many critters available already. I would think that sea turtles would be a nice addition as well as more land turtles. The safari animals I think each could get their own set like a set for zebras a set for giraffes, etc. More pirate stuff. Maps, costumes critters, mermaid pirates, etc. Definitely need some monkey sets. Oh and some sets that can turn objects or fruit into characters with arms, faces, legs. I know there are faces in several sets, but the arms and legs with new faces would be great. For example, an olive or strawberry relaxing on the beach tanning or something.

  35. I love this new versatile Riverside backdrop! Just when I think I “have it all” Lawn Fawn out does their previous release. And, I didn’t know I needed CAPYBARAS in my life!!! They’re so cute! 🥰

    1. This is misplaced. These entries belong on the previous blog post for the big giveaway. This one is asking for a new critter! Hope this helps!

  36. I love all the critters lawn fawn comes up with especially the mice. I would also, would like to see rabbits/bunnies as a new critter 🐰

  37. Love the new stamp set of capybaras with the riverside backdrops. Too Cute! I would love a stamp set with horses, humming birds, camels, monkeys, more ocean critters like jelly fish and mermaids.

  38. I’m amazed that with all the critters you’ve come up with, we don’t have any tigers. I need some tigers!

  39. I don’t know which critter. Opossum don’t get much love, but they are hard to think of as cute.

  40. I love koalas and sloths, but, no matter what critter is featured, the resulting Lawn Fawn designs are always so cute!

  41. These capybaras are too cute!
I’d love to have some lawn fawn opossums, raccoons or cheeky seagulls stealing people’s treats at the beach

  42. I love the riverside scene builder, it is soo cute with the capybaras. It would also be really good for hippos!

  43. I would like an update walrus, the only one is in the critters in the Arctic set, which I like a lot but your art has changed.

  44. I would love to see some highland cows! Any farm animals, or more safari themed animals. I also love raccoons and lions. Maybe some mythical creatures, dragons, bigfoot, wizards/witches (not really critters but you know)

  45. Love that there are capybaras, which I learned about in grade school when my BFF did a report on them. I was an adult when I got to see some in the zoo. So how about some more offbeat zoo animals? Like anteaters, zebras, gnus, gorillas, giant tortoise, etc. I saw someone above mention raccoons and they would make an adorable set and could get into all sorts of sweet mischief!

  46. Oh my god! I was living in South America when I was a teenager so I dearly love capybaras!
You’ve done so many critters, but maybe some meerkats (to do a Lion King card), or Highland cows and donkeys.

  47. I love the capybaras – they’re so cute! I think a monkey family would be an adorable addition to the critter lineup!

  48. I would love to see a hippo set, because who doesn’t “want a hippopotamus for Christmas?!” 😂
I also would love to see a dog set with some golden doodles 😊

  49. This capybara set is so super cute! And the backdrop die wil give so much opportunities! I have no clue on this moment for a new critter, but saw a lot of good suggestions in the comments

  50. Bald eagle, monkey, red panda.

I know these aren’t critters, but more tiny people would be fun. Different poses but holding nothing. Maybe a few “paper doll”-type accessories such as various plain shirts and hats to switch up the looks.

  51. Red pandas are my favorite animal in all the world and I know Lawn Fawn could make such cute ones! hat, and maybe some more hedgehogs and koalas! So cute!

  52. I would love to see some more under the sea creatures…I love the capybara’s, I want to go to a capybara cafe when i go to Japan!

  53. How about gophers (I could go-pher you) or moles? Lawn Fawn puts out such core stuff! Lol hubby says woodpeckers!

  54. A larger verity of farme animals, all different kinds of chickens, roosters, ducks, pigs, horses, cows

  55. The capybaras are soo cute!!
I would love to see some of your adorable birds in a larger size! And the mice too! So they are easy to color and fill a card quickly. 🙂

    1. The capybaras are soo cute!!
I would love to see some of your adorable birds in a larger size! And the mice too! So they are easy to color and fill a card quickly. 🙂

  56. Would love to see a variety of cats (long haired, striped, calico, tuxedo)…I know we can color them that way, but it would be easier to have a few more styles of cats. 🙂

  57. After being totally engrossed by the Big Bear Valley eagles (Jackie, Shadow, Sunny and Gizmo), I’d absolutely love to see some eagles! Plus they’re very patriotic!

  58. Monkeys, koalas, Red Pandas, Meercats, more fish and other water creatures! I love the capybaras and the new scenes. I want both versions! Thank you for the inspiration!

  59. I would love some monkeys, turtles, or red pandas (for my hubby). But I know that any new critter is going to be just adorable!

  60. Guinea pigs for sure! Capybaras are cute, but a whole guinea pig set would be adorable. Maybe chinchillas too.

  61. I’d love to see beavers – they are the NY state animal and I am in NY. Or possibly flamingoes because who doesn’t love flamingoes!

  62. I LOVE the rubber background sets!! They will be very well used. I think a bunch of monkeys swinging around in the jungle would be such a fun set.

  63. I would like to see underwater King Triton, the little merman, mermaids with seahorses
to use for the holidays! I also would love to see set of Angels that can be used
for various holidays! Lastly, I would like to see another Mice stamp set!

  64. Raccoon, sea animals, kittens. Would be nice to have a few critter sets that interacted as well as all the mice sets do.

  65. I am in awe of the wonderful ideas from everyone! I love sea creatures and birds and would love to see more dolphins/whales/sharks and maybe eagles, hawks and owls.

  66. Red pandas, sea creatures, hummingbirds, chipmunks, and I saw a comment about a possum family and the babies hanging by their tails I agree that is an amazing idea!!! And as always more cats!

  67. I love the idea of more fawns!!! And a quail family sounds adorable. More squirrels and chipmunks!!!

  68. See if I get this right this time and not as a reply to someone elses comment,,,, (thar darn mobile phone… too small for my fingers 😂). I would like more penguins! Perfect alongside that superfun Riverside Backdrop, which I love. Gonna need both landscape and portrait! ❤️

  69. I know we have giraffe already, but I would like to see a set with giraffe only, like for mother’s day, father’s day and baby cards.

  70. Since the birdwatching mice can also be safari mice, how about a set to compliment the “Wild for You “ set with more animals and also include a jeep.

  71. I watched the video on the this new release and I absolutely love the capybaras! Who’d have thought that this creature would be so cute! Your design team is very creative!

  72. Ohhh i would love more raccoons and groundhogs. But i always love the frogs. I cant wait to get the river background die.

  73. I second Mallard ducks and red pandas! I love flamingos and swans, they are my favourites. The peacocks too!

  74. There are so many cute critters in the world but right now I’m loving Highland cows and donkeys! Red pandas or raccoons would be cute, too.

  75. Three months ago I would have said capybaras when I was hand drawing one for my daughter’s birthday! I’m so excited for this set!
I’d love to see Betta fish, giraffes, moose, chipmunks. There are so many great ideas!!

  76. I would love to see a fun set of Seagulls. Turtles would be nice also.
I also think a set of giraffes could be used for all sorts of occasions.

  77. I’ve never heard of this critter before. I absolutely love the river backdrop. So many ideas circling in my mind.

  78. I honestly cannot think of a critter I’d like to see added to the Lawn Fawn collection! However, I would like to see cars and trucks brought to life with the Lawn Fawn touch…I have a two year old grandson that LOVES them!

  79. I love the capybaras and think the riverside die will be a great addition to my scene building collection. I’d love to see more sea turtles or maybe dolphins/sea creatures in general.

  80. Love the riverside backdrop and the capybaras!! I would like to see some horse stamps or maybe some more dolphins. I do like the comments about the eagle as well that could be cool with a lake or river scene.

  81. I’m loving the capybaras. I forgot how adorable your critters are. They make me so happy.

I would love to see meerkats. They are so cute how they stand up so straight and look turning their little heads from one side to another. Meerkat Manor…that was one of my favorite shows. Definitely a meerkat aficionado here. My Yorkie actually reminds me of meerkats. LOL

  82. These capybaras are so cute!! I might need to go visit a Zoo to come up with an animal that Lawn Fawn hasn’t made a stamp for. I did just see two new Red Pandas at the MN Zoo! They are named Spruce and Cedar!

  83. Monkeys, turtles, zebras, or anything that Lawn Fawn comes up with-new critters are always cute, no matter what they are!

  84. I am still TEAM OKAPI. I will keep saying it until one makes it into a Lawn Fawn stamp set. I would also vote for red panda, highland cows, and monkeys. There is already one otter set, but more otters (some that hold hands as they float) would be lovely too.

  85. Canadian Geese because they are so naughty and evil. Maybe a Halloween set featuring these Canadian cobras!

  86. So many great ideas here already! I love the idea of more ocean critters, especially the stingrays. Hippos would be cute. How about opossums or armadillos?!

  87. I don’t think I’ve seen an otter yet but if you already have those then I would love more sea creatures. Rays, squids, etc.

  88. These critters are so adorable. It’s funny, living in Connecticut in the U.S., you realize you are limited by your critters. I need to get out more for sure and visit the critters in other lands. For creatures to see in the future I thought about my week. Yesterday morning from my window I saw some critters in my yard. It was a busy day. A rabbit, squirrel, bear, what I think might have been a fox (it was moving fast) and then a chipmunk. Have we seen them, and would they be as adorable as the mice? Would love some chippies!

  89. I love all of the Lawn Fawn critters. Personally, I would like to see a few more dog breed stamps.

  90. I would like to see more insects/bugs but made cute… Ants, scorpions, spiders, fly’s, mosquitos, etc… I would like to add another critter like more alligators 🙂

  91. I know you have a winter alpaca, but I would love to see some alpacas without themed clothes on. Would be great for documenting our trip to a local alpaca farm.

  92. I think meerkats or prarie dogs would be adorable. There are probably lots of puns you could do with “mere” (meerkats) or “mounds” from prarie dog homes.

  93. Omg, just when I didn’t think lawn Fawn could get any cuter! These capaybaras are adorable and I love the puns

  94. I was not familiar with those critters and found out that they are really nice. Just love the river backdrop!

  95. I would love to see some Tapirs! You could do the little watermelon babies and then the bigger ones. They have such fun faces!

  96. Love the river backdrop! Would love to see Highland coos, snowy owls, zebras, and the big cats 💜

  97. Some variations on current animals- runner ducks, sugar gliders, red or grey foxes, wild cats (like bobcats, panthers, lions, tigers, pumas, etc.), deer, hummingbirds, woodpeckers, tropical frogs, red pandas…

  98. I would LOVE to see Porcupines, Possums or maybe a FUN NEW Set that has nothing but Baby Animals that would coordinate with other Images from other Sets!! It would be FUN to be able to build a Family of Critter for our Cards!!

  99. These guys are so cute and chill. A horse set would be fun bc they come in so many different colors and patterns. I showed horses in the 80s.

  100. Oooh…that is hard…you have so many critters already…How about a lion or tiger set. I know that you have a lion on a couple of sets…but not a stand alone lion.

  101. Would love more otters and hedgehogs and more fish or ocean animals. I love to do beach themed and ocean themed cards as well as hedgehogs. Also love owls and frogs. I know it’s not a critter, but would love to see an ice hockey themed set for winter. Maybe the critters playing ice hockey. That would be so cute.

  102. I would love to see Meerkats and Prairie dogs. I absolutely love watching these critters at my local Zoo, so adorable. I am very excited to get the Capybaras set and create some cards with it.

  103. I don’t have a NEW critter to suggest… There could always be more otters though! River and sea.

  104. I will forever vote for Opossums until I get them lol! Just think…their tiny little babies hold onto their momma when traveling! I also saw someone mention stingrays or manta rays and I think those would be awesome as well!

  105. I would love to see some polar bears to be friends with the bears already around. Maybe some polar animals, polar sea creatures to go along with the polar bears! A girl can dream!!!!

  106. Just went to the Memphis Zoo yesterday and I would love to see giraffes in a stamp set. So cute!

  107. Love the new Capy sets — so cute!

I would love to see more sets that incorporate wooly fiber critters like sheep and alpacas. My friends who knit have really enjoyed the cards I made for them using the knitting mama bear from Den Sweet Den, but you should really do a set with crocheting critters, too.

  108. I’d love to see a stamp set featuring prairie dogs or ground hogs! I LOVE capybaras, these are adorable.

  109. I know you have a mini set with puffins but I would love a full stamp set with puffins including the fuzzy chicks.

  110. I’m a sucker for woodland critters and would love a scene building set with skunks, owls, raccoons, chipmunks, etc.

  111. I love all your critters! More otters would be fun. Also cats are always good for me. And maybe revisit some of the retired or Stamptember critters sets!
