Lawn Fawn Intro: Critters at the Dog Park

Hello and welcome to the third post of Lawn Fawn’s Summer release and inspiration week! We are just so excited about this week! We have seven new stamp sets and eight new Lawn Cuts die sets, and they will be revealed and available for purchase on May 9th at 12:01 am EDT and until then we will have fun posts and giveaways and lots of inspiration!

Today is our showcase of our new set “Critters at the Dog Park” and its coordinating Lawn Cuts dies. This 4″ x 6″ set  is the next installment of our Critters series. The design team has made the most amazing samples!  We also have a little video on the bottom showcasing some fun ways of using the set including two cards from start to finish!

Yainea made an awesome slider card so that the dogs can play together. Too cute! I love her Sharp Backdrops grass and paw print patterned paper made with a stamp from this set. Her Blue Skies clouds fit perfectly here!

Latisha‘s card is so perfect! The paw print at the bottom and the scattered butterflies are great. This is a stunning card that would be easy to reproduce, especially with the dies! The hair bow is so sweet!

Chari created a super Penny! Chari has a sweet dachshund named Penny, so this stamp is perfect for her. I love the cape that she drew on and the butterflies flying around really makes the scene!

Linda‘s layout is too cute. I love the grid, and how she paper pieced with Daphne’s Closet papers and then layered it over another strip of that paper. Genius! Stamps really are great for making custom embellishments!

I love how Elena framed the dog with Fanciful Frames! So cute and brilliant! Her bold stripes are really fun, and this could be a go to layout to use with any of the different dogs!

Lynnette‘s scene makes me smile! I love that giant bowl of dog bones, and the way the dachshund is flying over to get to them. The party hats are perfect with the Year Three sentiment. So much fun!

  1. I just watched the video posted on YouTube….OMG way too cute!! I think this may be my favorite set, even though there is no Pug included :). I have an 8 month old Pug named Meatball. She is my little princess. Yep, its a girl named Meatball…Lol!

  4. Cutest. Stamp. set. Ever. My favorite dog is Shusha, my sister's dog. She's so friendly and always so happy to see us when we're visiting (once every couple years…).

  5. Sweet little pups! I love big dogs and have had several Great Dane/Black Lab mixes. They are a wonderful mixed breed that is lovable, loyal, playful and protective.

  6. I can't wait to see all the puppies and accessories for them! This is just too cute! My favorite type of dog has always been Golden Retrievers. They are adorable as puppies and just gorgeous when they are all grown up!

  9. OY, I think you totally killed me with cuteness and inspiration this week. I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this set! I do kids' Valentine's Day cards with different dogs, so guess what? Next year there will be some new dogs on my cards!!!! 🙂 🙂 🙂 Oh, I forgot…Probably my first love is Golden Retrievers but I think Chico might be upset by that, so I'll say Chihuahuas are my favorite dog for now!

  16. I have a boxer mix and his name is Pete :). I love that you have a boxer in your set but mine doesn't have a stubby tail :(. That's my fav part of him because he gets so excited his whole back end gets to waggin! :). Still enjoy this set!

  21. Aww, so cute! I love dogs of all kinds, but my favorite breeds are Welsh Corgi and German Shepherd. Both are smart, energetic dogs with tall ears but very different bodies. I don't have a dog yet, but those two are my dream dogs.

    My favorite dog breed is Miniature Pinscher as it the most energetic toy breed. I used have two of them once (in two separate period) and I named them 'Baby'! Yes, they are my 'baby'! I miss them so much! May God bless them!

I am dog-crazy, and love the Critters in the Burbs cuz of the sweet doggie – but this set is so much more amazing because of the more versatile dogs and the fun items (bones, hydrant, etc.). I. MUST.     Oh yeah, my favorite dog name is Dobbie. I have the sweetest, funnest, most awesome dogs right now, and they are litter mates, and just turned five years old. One of them is a special needs dog, he is deaf, has neurological problems (his head shakes and he doesn't have good body control or good balance) and he has nystagmus (his eyes dart back & forth). When we resuced him and his brother, when they were 8 weeks old, he had the BIGGEST eyes and BIGGEST ears and looked like Dobby, the house elf from Harry Potter. But, my little puppy was so teeny tiny (he is a chihuahua/sheltie cross) that he needed an "ie" at the end to be more dimunitive instead of a "y" thus we named him Dobbie. He is hysterical, so much fun, such a crazy and energetic little boy – he is an absolute joy and I can't wait to get home each night from work so I can see him! He is adorable – as is his brother Cooper, my second favorite name 🙂 Thank you for this great and incredibly useful and versatile set!

  33. Such a cute set, I love the hot dog with the cape, just adorable. I'm not really a doggy person in real life as I'm allergic to their fur, but a friend has the most gorgeous wire haired fox terrier named Jock. I tend not to like pedigrees (for ethical reasons) so give me a mutt any day, but only in pictures.

  34. Adorable cards and layout! My favorite dogs are Yorkshire Terriers. They are like little miniature show ponies. They have a natural prance that makes them very special. But they do think they are a lot bigger and badder than they really are. My little 5 pounder thinks she could take on huge dogs, like labs and pit bulls. She's pretty bossy. My Betsey is a wonderful dog and friend!

  37. We just got a mini schnauzer puppy named Jewels so I am going to go with that breed and that name as my favorites. These dog stamps are perfect for telling her story as the wiener dog stamp looks like her friend peanut.

  41. This is absolute the best news so far! I haven't got stamps with a dog and my daughter is very fond of dogs, so these stamps and dies are must haves… My favorite dog is my lovely bichon frisé which is called Nanette.

    My fave dog—yeesh! I grew up with dogs—always had one. I like bigger dogs–we have a black lab right now—I've had doberman, shepherd, dalmatians, labs—I love them all.

  50. This has to be my favorite set thus far with the release. I love these and the DT made the cutest samples for us to enjoy. Your card too is to darn cute! I will be getting this set with matching dies definitely. My favorite puppies are Westies. I have two: Baxter and Bonnie. They have the sweetest temperment but can be bullheaded too. These are so sweet Kelly!

  52. This dog set is so fantastic…I know lots of dog lovers that would like cards and gifts made using this set. My favorite dog type is Jack Russell Terriers and believe it or not I am scared to death of large dogs that I don't know! I still like the stamps because I really do like "nice" dogs!

    What I thought was a horse with a bridle turned out to be a Scottish Terrier!
    But I did get the French Bulldog right.
    Guess the next set will have to be cats.(for all those cat people out there)
    Keep Critters of the Old West in mind though!! LOL
    My favorite dog breed is..well my last dog was a wire haired fox terror,I mean Terrier, named Montgomery of Rosedale.
    Lets just say my DH and I were in over our heads! But we loved him dearly.

  68. You've started something now. You know you've got to do more breeds, so this one will hopefully be Set #1 of Dog Park Critters. I love all dogs & have had so many over the years but my favs are English Springers & Yorkies.

  72. All dogs are lovely, but my favourite breed of dogs would be the english cocker spaniel! Sweet little greedy doggies with lovely soulful eyes that absolutely melt hearts. Mine's called Angel, but she's really a little devil at heart. A really cute one though!

Oh seriously, I am speechless… 'Rescued' is my favorite breed – SO many pups in shelters waiting for 2nd chances for forever homes… I try to encourage all my friends to consider adoption first. I like mixed breeds, they are so so original and cool! Our furbaby is a long-hair dachshund/golden retriever mix and I think he is the most adorable thing in the WORLD!!     This is a tough question… Of course, at the moment my favourite dog is Atticus my Rhodesian Ridegeback/Doberman mix. I will always hold a special place in my heart for pitbulls though – the most unfairly maligned breed in the world.

  129. I have lots of favorites…my daughter's dog was a chocolate lab retriever and we loved him and miss him as he recently passed on after 13 wonderful years of friendship. My dog was a cocker spaniel and a cutie. We are between dogs right now, still in mourning but soon we will have a new puppy.

  143. I'm so happy you are making dies to go with your stamps. They make life so much easier! Growing up we had a Border Collie/Siberian Husky mix. As the breeds were C & H we named her Sugar. She was a sweetheart, small children could abuse her and she would take it. I wish I could find another dog like her.

  165. How adorable is this set. My favourite breed of dogs is the Havanese which is the breed of my baby Sam. He loves this set too because there is a paw print that he can use as his signature on the cards.

  167. Cody and Sadie . Cody ( sadly we have recently lost)was a yellow lab. The most lovable dog. Then there is Sadie,we call her our Rotten Lab, because she is half Lab and half Rottweiler. WE rescued her. She was born in a junkyard. Someone came in and killed the her mom and all the other pups. When the owner came out in the morning they found Sadie trying to nurse from her mom. WE had just got Cody so we raised them together.

  168. Oh my goodness, words cannot express how much I love this set! All I can do is squeal! Love it so much! All my life, my favorite dog breed has been the Newfoundland, but last summer we adopted a Flat-Coated Retriever we named Zadie from our local shelter. The breed looks just like a golden retriever except they're all black. I've been reading up about them since we got her and I think they're my favorite now. She's such a special dog. I'd love to have another just like her someday down the line. I also really, really love King Charles Cavalier Spaniels.

  173. I love love love this set. All of the projects were so good. My favorite is a boxer (because I have one and she is so sweet) and a chihuahua because I have one of those too and she is sweet too.

  186. My favorite dog breed is a RESCUE. Both of my dogs Sabrina (schipperke/chow mix) and Jake (Westie/Mini Schanuzer) are both from rescue facilities and are the loves of my life! They don't care what I call them, Pupka, Puppy Love, Jakey-cakes or even Sunshine as long as I keep them close and love them ! All of the creations are fantastic! I adore this dog park set!

    1. I should say that I really don't have a favorite breed – I love mixed breeds from the shelter. 🙂 But I do have a fondness for Labs and Lab mixes. (FYI – Dixie is in the photo with me.)
