A Bright Easter Card with Karin

Our Create with Us: Bubbles of Joy event was so much fun! We had an amazing time crafting with so many friends! If you missed the LIVE event or just want to revisit the fun you can find it saved HERE! Thank you all so much for making today a wonderful birthday celebration!

Happy Sunday friends! Today we have an adorable Easter card by Karin to inspire you!

Karin framed her charming Easter scene using our Bayou Backdrop upside down! It’s a great way to add some depth to a meadow scene and still keep it simple.

The cute little fox from Butterfly Kisses is a great companion for the Eggstra Amazing Easter critters! I love how Karin colored the Oliver’s Stitched ABCs to look like pastel Easter eggs!

Thank you for sharing this super sweet Easter inspiration, Karin!

Grace’s Fun Interactive Slider Cards

Just 2 more days before we kick off Fall & Winter 2020 Inspiration and Release Week! Woohoo! Join us for the Big Giveaway Post this Wednesday!

Today we have a super cute and fun interactive card design with Grace! It’s a perfectly clever way to hide a gift card or a message!

Grace made one card to conceal a gift card to send sweet thoughts to a friend and another to wish a happy birthday! Both cards feature our cute fox and bear friends! Be sure to check out the instructions in the photos at the end of this post.

For the birthday card, Grace used the Really High Five set along with A Bug Deal and Unicorn Picnic for the cute grasshopper and cake slice.

As the recipient slides the panel up the birthday greeting is revealed on the panel and underneath the flap! At the same time, the fox, bear and balloon scene stands up! Grace used acetate between the balloons to look like the confetti is floating in the air!

This sweet card features the Butterfly Kisses fox and bear! The butterflies are mounted on acetate so they can “fly” when the panel slides up!

Grace stamped a message under the place where the gift card hides! She also stamped the word “slide” from the Push Here set so the recipient knows that this is a special design!

Grace started by die cutting 2 of the largest Outside In Stitched Rectangles. With one of them, she laid it landscape and cut the largest Lift the Flap in the center, then she scored the flap as in the photo. She cut a tab in the top using the Let’s Toast Pull Tab Add-On.

Grace turned the second panel to portrait orientation and cut it to 3 1/4″.

To attach the sliding panel, Grace added 1/4″ double-sided tape just below the bottom scored line. Then she put foam tape around the flap to attach to the card base.

Thank you so much for sharing this your brilliant design with us today, Grace!
