Lawn Fawn Video {7.20.21} Kara’s Clever Simple Stripes and Giant Happy Birthday to You Cards

Kara shows us how to use one design to create two different cards! She combined Simple Stripes: Diagonal with Giant Happy Birthday to You for the floating front design then took the cards in two different directions! In the video, Kara shows how she removed a section from the card front to create a “floating front” open design! For her clean and simple version, she included cute Tiny Birthday Friends with “swinging” piñata!

After alternating the Peacock and Mermaid stripes from Simple Stripes: Diagonal, Kara used Giant Happy Birthday to You to anchor each side leaving an open space! She layered a second die cut inside the card for stability and a pretty finish when the card is open!

For this card, Kara switched up the basic design with Happy Hibiscus and Tropical Leaves dies! She included an oval shape (the coordinating die from Giant Birthday Messages) for a different look! And to give this card even more individuality, Kara alternated a combination of Textured Dot cardstock and Watercolor Wishes Rainbow paper stripes with Lacy Borders!

Birthday Cards with Ivy!

We are so happy that Ivy joined us today to share her beautiful birthday card ideas! She seamlessly mixed new products with older ones to create two unique designs!

The cute little critters from A Bug Deal and Hey Lady are perfect companions for Delightful Daisy! Ivy gave the daisy lots of shimmer and sparkle! She die cut the frame from Holiday Sparkle green glitter and the petals from bright yellow of Tropical Shimmer cardstock!

This beautiful no-stamping design features Giant Happy Birthday to You in bright Fake Tan cardstock! It looks great layered on the Watercolor Wishes Rainbow background!

For her second birthday design, Ivy used a Scalloped Slimline with Hearts: Landscape in pastel Shimmer cardstock! She gave the lovely Happy Hibiscus flowers lots of sweet color using Watercolor Wishes Rainbow paper! Giant Happy Birthday adds the happy greeting cut from more Watercolor Wishes Rainbow paper!
