Catherine’s Just Plane Awesome “Airmail” Card

The new Create with Us is this Friday! In this class hosted by Kelly and Jenn, you’ll create two adorable cards featuring Just Plane Awesome stamp set. You can follow along — or just pop in to say hi! — on YouTube Live. Click HERE for all the details. We hope you will make plans to join us!

Catherine created another amazing card to inspire us today! With a fun airmail theme, her card sends big hugs with cute mice!

Catherine combined so many fun sets to make this amazing card! She started by creating the airmail stripes with Skinny Stripes Stencils; Fish Tank and Chili Pepper inks are the perfect colors. Then she used the Cloudy Stencil to add subtle pastel clouds in the background. For the next layer she combined Puffy Cloud Borders and Simple Puffy Cloud Frames.

Then she added the Just Plane Awesome mice in their paper airplanes! She got really clever, adding another cute pilot with a mouse from You Autumn Know on an airplane from Flying By. She borrowed a scarf from Let’s Go Nuts and the “goggles” are the number 8 from Claire’s ABCs. That is just so clever!

She pieced together the postage stamp using a heart from Plan on It: Holidays. Then she layered it on the negative cut from the smallest Reverse Stitched Scalloped Square Window. And the “sending big hugs” sentiment from the original Magic Messages is the perfect complement to this creative design!
