Hallelujah, I Just Love Her So

I’m sorry I haven’t been posting. I love posting, so it makes me sad not to post! Work has been crazy! I also had to have a mole removed off my leg on Monday. Have any of you had that done before? It is totally creeping me out! I don’t like the thought of an open wound on my leg. Eeek!
Anyways, I really hope to enter Kristina’s challenge today, so hopefully there will be another post today! But, for now, I thought I would leave you with my favorite Ray Charles song. This is a great live recording from 1955. This is such a great song! I hope it brings a smile to your face. Here are my favorite lyrics from it:
Everybody asks me how I know
I smile at them and say, “She told me so”
That’s why I know, oh, I know
Hallelujah, I just love her so

Thank you so much for visiting and for all your lovely comments that make me smile everyday!
Have an amazing day,

tropical birthday

This weekend I am off to a friend from college’s wedding. It should be really fun! I am excited about getting dressed up and going to a downtown San Francisco wedding. 🙂
I made this card for my Dad to give my Mom for her birthday. My Mom loves the beach, so I thought it was perfect!

This chipboard is so fun and glittery! I love it! I also got to use my new cloud background stamp by Hero Arts. I have some serious love for this stamp. I totally freaked when I first saw it. It was like they took it right out of my head! I have always wanted a stamp like this!
I made these waves with blue twinkle embossing powder. This kind is by Judy Kins, but I have to tell you that after using American Crafts Zing and the stuff they sell at Papertrey Ink, I just don’t like this embossing powder much anymore. It’s just not Zing-tastic :). I was pretty excited about how I made these waves. I actually made them with the stamp image below:
This is Kim Hughes’s kissable tree! If you turn it on its side, it kind of looks like waves! Love!
I stamped a sentiment on a die cut Carolyn Gavin piece and had a gorgeous glittery beach scene! I was so glad my Dad asked me to make a card too! How cool is that? Well, there is no internet at Mike’s parent’s house (where we’re staying) which gives me the heebie geebies, but I think I will survive. I am so behind on checking all your lovely blogs too. I will hopefully get back to seeing all your wonderful cards and commenting soon. There is just too much work, which makes me sad, because your blogs make me smile!

Lots of weekend happiness to you all!

flowers and the bees

Here is another card from way back that I never shared. I had just bought this My Cute Stamps set, and I couldn’t help but use it!

This card is all sorts of random!
I made this strip of faux patterned paper with the flower stamps and copic markers. I love how vibrant copics are! By the way, is it coh-pics or cah-pics? I hear it pronounced both ways. I personally like coh-pic :). That pink strip is left over from cutting a scalloped border. Save those strips; it’s totally worth it!
I love this cutie pie bee! I popped him up on foam adhesive and made a little trail with a white gel pen (it’s really hard to see in the photo.)

[Supplies]
Paper: Neenah Paper Classic Linen (classic natural white), Neenah Paper Classic Crest (solar white), Me and My Big Ideas
Ink: Stampin’ Up (wasabi green), Adirondack (pitch black)
Stamps: My Cute Stamps (little forest friends)
Etc: Copics, Ranger white gel pen
Thank you so much for visiting!
