2 sketches 4 you 64

Hello and welcome to another 2 Sketches 4 You challenge! Today our sponsor is Starving Artistamps. I used this beautiful backlit blooms rose. I just added different distress inks right to the stamp and stamped! I then distressed it with my foam inking tool. I love that bright barn door red peaking through the old paper distress ink! I also colored my pearls to match with a Copic marker. I love doing that!

Check out the gorgeous sketch by Laura! Just beautiful!

Make sure you head on over to 2s4y and play along!

Have an amazing day,

Caring Hearts Blog Hop!

Welcome to the Caring Hearts Blog Hop! The ♥ CARING HEARTS CARD DRIVE ♥ is an amazing card drive put together by Vera to bring holiday cards to senior centers. I just love this idea, and Vera was so wonderful and kind to come up with it!

We encourage you to participate in the drive, too! All of the details are here, and there are wonderful prizes for participating, also (including one from Lawn Fawn!)

There will also be prizes for commenters and participants of the hop that will be randomly chosen, so make sure to hop along to everyone’s blog. Since we have so many wonderful participants, you have until midnight (CST) Wednesday, 10/27/10 to leave comments and winners will be announced on Friday, 10/29/10 on Vera’s blog!

So you should have come from Kelly Bertram. If you are lost in the hop, you can always start here!

Okay, on to a fun card! My grandfather loves interactive cards. He just gets a kick out of them! So I thought I would try to make something like that!

I decided to use a glassline bag from It’s in the Bag! for my little pocket card! Then I put a mini card on the inside that can be pulled out. The cool thing is this bag could be used to store little trinkets or whatnot afterwards!

Here they are separated. I used Cosmo Cricket papers and let that dictate the colors I used for the project! I am loving the purple scarf on Winter Bunny!

I thought the traditional images of Bows and Holly would be nice. I added some sparkle to the present’s bow with a Spica pen and I love the mistletoe from Bows and Holly in the corner as if Winter Bunny is speeding off to find his Christmas love!

I really hope this will put a smile on someone’s face this Holiday season!

Your next stop is  Krissy ! I hope you guys have fun in the hop and are inspired to create cards for this wonderful cause!!

Happy Hanukkah

DSC_0132

Hello! Today I have a card using the Happy Hanukkah set! I just could not find the right patterned paper for this card until I saw this gorgeous Hambly overlay. I just had to use it! The menorah was heat embossed in silver on a die cut using the Small Labels dies from Spellbinders. It fits perfectly in this shape!

I added a line of scor tape to the blue card stock and then dumped glitter on top, slightly pressing into the tape. I just love that strip of glitter! I filled in the candle flames with a Copic.

I am looking forward to making more Hanukkah cards! I can’t wait to use the dreidel!

Have a great weekend, everyone!

Oh, also, I am doing a make it take it at Cool Scrapbook Stuff in Poway on Saturday at 5pm! I’d love to meet you!
