Happy Friday fawny friends! It’s time for another 1 Stamp, 3 Ways with Tammy! This month you chose On the Beach and Tammy created three amazing card designs to inspire you! She included a special photo tutorial to make your own tiki bar!

Hi friends, Tammy here with another fun 1 Stamp, 3 Ways feature! This month, we are showcasing On the Beach, perfect for Summer or Vacation themed cards! These sweet critters are enjoying the summer months with a beach party…I wish I could join them!!

Pineapple Card

For my first card, I created a shaped card to look like one of those yummy tropical drinks you get in Hawaii. This smaller sized card will fit perfectly into an A2 envelope.

To begin, I cut the second largest oval, using the Large Stitched Oval Stackables, from Bristol Smooth cardstock. I cut the top portion off to create a straight edge. Next, I lightly applied Squeezed Lemonade Distress Oxide ink over the entire oval. I then used very thin washi tape to create a diamond shaped a grid. I added depth by ink blending with Rusty Hinge, Mustard Seed, and Squeezed Lemonade Distress Oxide inks using sponge daubers. Then I splattered some brown acrylic paint, thinned with water, onto the pineapple before removing the washi tape.

To create the orange slice, I cut a circle from Canned Pumpkin cardstock using the second smallest circle from the Large Stitched Circle Stackables. I cut a smaller circle from the reverse side of the Shimmer Cardstock – Tropical using the  Small Stitched Circle Stackables. Then to create the orange sections, I cut smaller circle in half, then in half again to create “wedges”. And then I inked wedges with Fake Tan ink, attached to the larger circle, then glued to the backside of the pineapple.

To make the flowers I used dies from the Cake Slice Box, and cut them using Shimmer Cardstock – Tropical, Guava and Mermaid cardstock. For the straw I simply cut a strip of white cardstock, masked stripes, and dabbed on some Mermaid ink.

Next, I stamped the umbrella from On the Beach and the leaves from Critters in the Jungle, colored with Copic markers, and die cut with the On the Beach and Critters in the Jungle coordinating dies. I made the card base by die cutting a folded piece of white cardstock with the oval used to create the pineapple. I then attached the decorated pineapple to the card base and added some yellow jewels to complete my card.

Tiki Bar Card

This card is an A6 card, measuring 4 ½ X 6 ¼”, and features a custom Tiki Bar that I will show you how to create using Lawn Fawn dies.

To begin, I cut a panel of Bristol smooth cardstock to 4 ½ X 6 ¼”. I created the sky by ink blending with Carved Pumpkin, Spiced Marmalade, and Squeezed Lemonade Distress Oxide inks. Next, I cut the water by inking the Stitched Simple Wavy Borders with Peacock Feathers ink. Then, I used the Stitched Hillside Borders to create a sandy beach. And then I adhered both of these scene building pieces to the card base.

I cut the palm trees using the Palm Trees Die and the Tropical Backdrop. I die cut the trunks from Paper Bag Cardstock, and the coconuts from Ground Coffee Cardstock.  The palm fronds I cut with both Cilantro Cardstock and white cardstock and inked with Twisted Citron and Mowed Lawn.

I stamped, colored with Copic markers, and die cut images from the following sets:
On the Beach/ Coordinating Dies
Butterfly Kisses (fox and grass)/ Coordinating Dies
Dandy Day (mouse)/ Coordinating Dies
Plan On It: Vacation (drinks)
Life is Good ( hammock)/ Coordinating Dies
Critters in the Jungle (leaves)/ Coordinating Dies
Ahoy Matey (parrot)/ Coordinating Dies
Violet’s ABCs

Creating the Tiki Bar

To begin, I cut the roof from the Scalloped Treat Box Beach House Add-On from Woodgrain Cardstock. The base of the Tiki Bar was creating using the inside portion of the Stitched Scalloped Rectangle Frames, cutting twice from  Woodgrain cardstock.

Next, I cut a 3” strip and (2) 2” strips from Woodgrain Cardstock. Then I cut one of the die cut rectangles into strips, varying in widths. I inked the edges of all the cut pieced with Walnut ink and assembled the Tiki Bar. Next I glued all the cut strips to the rectangle base, and then attached the 3” strip across the top.

I cut a Grassy Border from Cilantro cardstock, darkening it with Mowed Lawn ink, and attached to the back of the roof. To finish, I attached the 2” strips vertically to the back of the Tiki Bar base and then attached the roof to the strips.

Cut a white rectangle a little smaller than 1 X 2”, and lightly ink it with Scattered Straw ink. Next, using Violet’s ABCs, stamp out “TIKI BAR” in Black Licorice Ink. Cut thin strips from Ground Coffee cardstock to create a frame around the Tiki Bar sign.

Now that the Tiki Bar is complete, we can finish up our card. I tucked the Tiki Bar underneath the sand and attached using foam tape. Next, I adhered all the colored images and palm trees, using foam tape on some for dimension.

Finally, I stamped my sentiment in Black Licorice Ink along the bottom of my card and attached to a white card base, measuring 4 ½ X 6 ¼”.

Slimline Card

To create this fun, slimline card, I cut a piece of Bristol cardstock using the Large Slimline with Sliders die. Using the Cloudy Stencil, I lightly inked some Tumbled Glass ink to create a soft blue, cloudy sky.

I used the Slimline Stitched Hillside Borders to create the water and sand, inking with Peacock Feathers and Mermaid Lagoon for the water, and Antique Linen and Vintage Photo for the sand. I cut out Sandy Beach Accents before I adhered the borders to the background and attached to a 3 ½ X 8 ½” white card base.

The palm trees were cut from Paper Bag, Ground Coffee, and Cilantro Cardstock using the Palm Trees Die.  I inked the edges of the palm fronds with Mowed Lawn ink, and attached to my card with foam tape.

Next, I stamped, colored with Copic markers, and die cut images from the following sets:
On the Beach/ Coordinating Dies
Life is Good/ Coordinating Dies
Really High Five (bunny, bear, mouse)/ Coordinating Dies
Car Critters (bears in water)/ Coordinating Dies
Plan on It: Vacation (mini beach ball, drink)

I arranged all the stamped images onto my card, using foam tape on some for dimension.

I stamped the sentiment, from Crazy Antics in black ink, and created the large “BEACH” sentiment using Oliver’s Stitched ABCs die cut from Sunflower cardstock. After that I attached the letters to the top center of my scene to complete my card.
