Our Big Giveaway Post!
Let’s Go Nuts, Big Acorn and Lift the Flap Tree Backdrop Post!
AND today’s post too!

Today is our showcase of Shutter Card and Shutter Card Add-On! This set of dies makes it easy to create an interactive card with a shutter opening on the inside! It’s perfect for making a gate-fold card with a decorative belly band, decorative panels, and a surprise image or sentiment inside. This add-on creates a stitched window panel to use inside your Shutter Card. It also includes additional pieces for more decorative options!

The design team has made the most amazing samples! We also have a surprise for you in the video at the end showcasing some fun ways of using these fun new interactive die sets!

Megan used the decorative panels included in the Shutter Card die set to add Fall Fling paper to the front of the gate-fold shutter card! Her band is decorated with gorgeous color to give a hint of what is inside!

The inside of Megan‘s card is so much fun! She stamped the pieces of the Shutter Card with Woodgrain Backdrop to give the look of a tree with a little nook for the sleeping squirrel!

Lynnette’s fun Halloween card uses our new Into the Woods Remix paper and the Trick or Treat Line Border on the belly band!

When this Shutter Card is opened it comes to life with the new Fox Costumes Before ‘n Afters and a couple jack ‘o lanterns from Pick of the Patch! So much fun!

Audrey‘s holiday card uses our lovely new paper collection Let it Shine and a greeting from Shutter Card Holiday Sayings!

The inside of Audrey‘s gorgeous card features snowflakes and a sweet little scene inside the shutter! We will highlight the Snow Globe Scenes set next month!

Marine altered the front of her Shutter Card to accommodate the cute Fall scene! She added an extra card front sized panel on just one side of the gate-fold shutter card to fill with the Let’s Go Nuts squirrels.

On the inside, the scene continues with images from Pick of the Patch and Happy Harvest! Marine hid the sentiment from Pick of the Patch behind the shutter!

I love how Grace layered the stitched circle with Scalloped Circle Gift Tag to decorate the belly band! The little baby squirrel looks so cute with the tiny hello die that is part of the Shutter Card die set!

On the inside, Grace flipped the Shutter Card so the fun mason jar from How You Bean? could open on the bottom of the card to reveal a red heart and part of the greeting! The Birch Remix 12×12 paper from the Into the Woods Remix collection is the perfect backdrop for the squirrel hijinks!

Mindy also created her Shutter Card using the awesome Fall colors in the Into the Woods Remix paper collection! The little stack of books on the front gives a hint to the cute scene on the inside!

Mindy created this super sweet scene with the new Den Sweet Den set! I just love cozy look of the mama bear reading to her baby bears!

Here’s another look at Elena‘s brilliant Shutter Card scene! I love how she inked the background and the shutters and shutter panel for a seamless look! She also flipped the die so the Acorn House would fit into the space.

Megan‘s second Shutter Card promises a fun holiday theme inside!

The happy bear family from Den Sweet Den are the stars of this cozy winter scene!

Elise‘s Shutter Card is the picture of elegance! She used a monochromatic color scheme, pairing Rainforest with Sage Leaf cardstock. She stenciled an all-over design with Yeti ink and our new Snowflake Trio Stencils!

The gorgeous design continues on the inside with snowflakes die cut from our awesome new Holographic Metallic Cardstock! Tucked inside the shutter is the silver embossed sentiment from Shutter Card Holiday Sayings!

Rebecca’s festive holiday card features Snow Globe Scenes and Shutter Card Holiday Sayings! She combined our new Let it Shine papers with last year’s Snow Day Remix paper; they are a bright and cheery combination!

  1. I made two very adorable baby cards for some of my family using the revel wheel die set. Super excited to make some cards using the shutter card set. ❤️

    1. The last one I made used the toaster pop up. I used the pup from say what? And had her popping out of the toaster attached to a piece of toast. I’ve been sharing cards with my bestie and we’ve been using my dog Geena on various adventures.

  2. I think the last interactive cards I made were of a girl swinging. They were very fun to make.
I’m excited about the shutter cards. They look so fun!

  3. I already watched the YouTube video on the new interactive die. I NEED IT!!!! It is sooo easy to build. I am loving everything so far. I can’t wait for the rest of this release. Yay!!!

    1. I make pop up box cards for a living, so I actually made an interactive card today! I really love shakers and reveal wheel cards as well. This die will definitely be added to my interactive die collection!

  4. Omg can’t wait to see the snow globe scenes!!!!!!! I know that will be on my list of must haves already… not sure I can wait!

  5. Looks soooo easy, the shutter card!! Like it!
Last interactive I used is the pivot pop-up for my father-in-law’s 80’s birthday! Looked great, all the ladies there loved it, but he just had a quick look, put it down and that was that haha. Not so much into cards as we addicts are I guess… Fun though!! 😀

  6. I recently made an adapted pull tab card pulling up an entire panel with a baby dinosaur and a baby name. Difficult but the result was so worth it! Thanks for a chance to win!

  7. I have made a pop up card for mother’s day that revealed a bunch of flowers when opened. That’s about it even though I have a couple of dies to make interactive cards… just need more crafting time…

  8. Interactive cards are so much fun. They always have a huge surprise for the recipient. I just made a shutter card for my daughter last night! I hope it will encourage her when I give it to her later today. I also recently made a twist and pop birthday card for a friend. Her expression upon opening it was worth every second I spent crafting it for her.

  9. The last interactive card I made was a slimline card with a slide over element which moves two newlyweds on their bike (Bicycle built for for you set) from the left side of the card with the farm animals from ‘Hay there’ and the veggies from ‘Rooting for you’ to the right side of the card with a ‘Happy village’. This shows the farm they both grew up and the small village they live in now they are married.

  10. I have never made an interactive card before, but I just got the pull tab add on for Let’s Toast. I can’t wait to play with it.

  11. What a fun die set! Love all of today’s inspiration!
The last interactive card I made was inspired by the 78th Lawn Fawnatics challenge – create a scene. Made a card for my son’s biology teacher using the Magic Picture Changer and Add-on die sets.

  12. Your DT is amazing! Each card is as sweet as the next! Your interactive dies are the best!!! The last interactive card I made was a pivot pop-up using your awesome die set. So fun to make!

  13. I recently made 16 shadow box thank you cards, after my daughter’s birthday. My husband asked if it wouldn’t be easier to just buy some thank you card. He couldn’t quite get the fact that I was having so much fun making them all.

  66. Love these dies
Last interactive card was using let’s toast add on and needed the slide mechanism to be longer so had to cut twice. So happy magic iris pull tab add on has a longer die now !

This covid thing has kind of killed my creative

  133. The BEAR DEN is so adorable! My last interactive card was a spinner for someone who had a bad fall. Not sure if a waterfall card is considered interactive, but also made one for a get well so she could flip through scripture verses for encouragement.

  134. My last interactive card was a box explosion card, using flippin’ awesome, magic colour and lots of different origami folds for my panels of the box!

  135. The last card I made used the reveal wheel. I love using your stamps and dies. My recipient’s love receiving my cards as well.

  136. My last interactive card used the double slider surprise die. I did a dog on the front panel, which I colored to look like our current dog–a beagle. Each of the slider sides also featured a dog–our Dalmatian and our Brittany, both of whom died years ago but always have a place in our hearts. My husband loved it!

  137. The last interactive card I made was the peacock before and after. In fact, the last several cards I made were the peacock before and after

  138. Awe that shutter die looks Awesome….what FABULOUS DT creations… last interactive card I made was with the magic iris die using the camera add on die.

  139. The last interactive card I made was using the magic iris camera add-on. It was an anniversary card for my brother which held a picture of him and my sister-in-law on their wedding day.

  140. The last interactive card I made was using the “Slide On Over Maze” summarizing a road trip that my BF and I took a few years ago from the East Coast to the West Coast. My BF loved it!

I used the “pizza my heart” stamps and dies with it because my nephew is now 13 and thinks all food should be either pizza or tacos… I think the card turned out super cute. He has it on his bedside table, still. We’re three weeks past his birthday now, so I hope that means he liked it.
I love this new die set from lawn fawn. I almost bought something very similar from another company, but I’m glad I waited now, because with all the guides and placement helps, this should be relatively easy to put together, and the design team cards are giving me lots of ideas!
