Design Team Inspiration

The design team has made the most amazing samples! We also have a video at the end showcasing some fun ways of using these new sets! Remember to click on the person’s name to see all of the details! And leave these wonderful DT girls some comment love!

Audrey paired the cute bats with a beautifully stenciled purple background to wish a “fangtastic day”! She stenciled the moon and clouds, then she added the “sparkles” from Full Moon. To finish the card design, she arranged the bats colored in purply shades!

Marine created a super fun before and after design using Fangtastic Friends, Fangtastic Friends Add-On and Magic Picture Changer! I love how she stenciled the Nighttime Sky Stencil moon in the background!

Tammy‘s tall slimline card is so much fun! The gorgeous purple clouds are an awesome backdrop for the “batty” little bats!

Grace created the sweetest card to show that these adorable bats are great for non-spooky cards too! She used one of the cute sentiments with Scripty Love, then assembled it all on a pretty pastel stenciled sky!

Lynnette created a spooky-cute design by combining Fangtastic Friends, Fangtastic Friends Add-On and Nighttime Sky Stencil! She also used the new Simple Stitched Tree Border with the embossed sentiment!

Elena created a beautiful cloudy background that is the perfect shade of cool! And then she assembled the cutest bats to wish someone a “fangtastic day”!

Chari used Fangtastic Friends Add-On to create this adorable mini slimline card! I love how it looks like the bats are holding up the banner, they are so cute! She included the greeting with Henry’s ABCs and also Harold’s ABCs!

Mindy used the Full Moon die to create an amazing window-look for her card design! The die creates the outside stitching detail that looks so great with the moon behind it. Mindy kept the moon as her focal point by arranging the bats around it!

Elise created an awesome background by combining Nighttime Sky Stencil moon and clouds along with the new Birch Tree Stencils! The bats look so cute colored in warm gray shades!

Tammy‘s green Nighttime Sky stenciled clouds look so cool! This Halloween card has a spooky vibe; but is also totally adorable with the Fangtastic Friends Add-On bats holding the banners!

Melissa shows us how cute the bats are on a Platform Pop-Up card! She used acetate to attach the bats so that is looks like they are in flight! You may notice something extra on the Platform Pop-Up, we will introduce that a little later this week.

Kara featured the Full Moon die set on this simply amazing design! She gave the die cut bats dimension with some shading, then she made them a little spooky with red eyes!

Wow, the colors Latisha chose for the cloudy background are so awesome! She combined the Fangtastic Friends bats with a sparkly Giant Trick or Treat! She also stenciled the background with Birch Tree Stencils!

Lynnette combined the bats from Fangtastic Friends and Fangtastic Friends Add-On to create this adorable Halloween card! She also used the pumpkin border from Simply Celebrate Fall. The white embossed stars sprinkled throughout the background add so much cute detail!

The contrast between the Full Moon and the beautiful blue inky background makes the moon appear to glow! Caly‘s Fangtastic Friends design is so amazing!

Kara‘s card is so amazing! She combined the Fangtastic Friends Add-On bats with the new Giant Trick or Treat die. For the background she layered the Village Border over our new Rose Gold Metallic cardstock!

  73. On my!!!! I love Halloween and these bats are fabulous!! Thank you Lawn Fawn for making my day 🙂 I think these bats could be used for a lot … One idea that I will do with them is make a pun about baseball bats, and use these bats in place of the wooden bat. 86. LOVE the bats!!! I’d use them on a cute spring card or a card inviting someone to “hang out” with me. Or, as someone else said, a birthday card with those adorable bats wearing little birthday hats!

  87. I don’t celebrate Halloween so I’m really happy that we can use these critters for other occasions. I would use “Fang you very much” and “I love hanging out with you” to surprise a dear friend.

  88. These cute bats could also be used for Valentine’s Day, Birthday or everyday. For example:
    “I’m batty for you”
    “You’re Fang-tastic”

The Bats could be used for any occasion…just change the scenes and accessories. I think they would be cute with a night time scene or with the Barn like the Bats are flying above the Barn and going into it for the night.

  96. Holy cow, you need a “I want it all” option for this release, cause it’s all adorable!! Those bats are awesome, they could be used for all sorts of cards…”just flying by to say hi” is one option that comes to mind. I’m excited about the moon die cut to use in my elementary classroom….I see lots of possibilities!

  97. Who would have thought you could make me a fan of bats! I could use the bats to send to my grandkids letting them know how much I love to hang out with them. I have one grandson already in love with the tiny gift box bat add on, so he would really love these!

  98. I don’t really make Halloween cards, but these bats are cute enough to fit any card – I make more birthday than anything so that’s where I’d use them most. They are adorable!

  99. These bats are sooo adorable that I am having a hard time deciding how to use them other than Halloween. Maybe make a friend card saying I want to hang out with them.

  100. I would use them with the platforms and Tree die. I would have the cute bats flying through the tree. On the Platform Add on die I woul use the Nighttime sky and the moon to create the background.

I love the cards that the design team made.

  101. I would use the bats for a Christmas card. Make a den scene with the bears. Bats hanging from the ceiling.

  102. These little critters (especially the “ta-duh” one) are adorable. I would use the “fangtastic” for “have a fangtastic birthday” or “have a fangtastic Valentine’s Day!” or pretty much any other holiday. I could even envision a woodsy scene leading to a “fangtastic Xmas.” Great job with all the cards – they’re knockouts!

  103. Who would have thought you could make me a fan of bats! I would use this set to let me grandkids know how much I love to hang out with them. My grandson is in love with the tiny gift box bat add on, so I know we would be using these a lot!

  105. I am going to use these adorable bats all year long! I love bats and can’t wait to color these cuties in all the rainbow of colors!

  106. So cute! The clever sentiments make it easy to use them for birthdays, Valentine’s Day, all kinds of occasions.

  107. Sigh. I didn’t want to love them. I didn’t want to even like them. Definitely didn’t want to want to have them. And there it is, but I do, I do, I do, I do, I do, I do….

  108. So many ideas!! But I am definitely making a new baby card using the hanging bats and magic picture changer. Outside will be 2 bats, and when you pull down it will be 3!

  109. Oh the ideas!!!!! I would totally give them hats and balloons for a birthday that is in October or anytime of year for someone who loves bats or Halloween.

  110. I will use the moon behind the birch trees, with the chameleon in the forefront, sporting some of the colors of the moon and use it for a welcome to a new season of change card.

  111. These bats are soooo adorable!! As a Harry Potter fan, I would use the bats for scene building at Hogwarts!!

  112. There are so many great ideas in the comments already! I love the idea of birthday hats on bats and valentine bats!

  113. I could see putting birthday hats on them and creating a birthday card or a card to cheer up a friend with a phrase like sometimes days just suck.

  114. If I win I am giving these to my wife. We love to decorate for Halloween. These will be used for many crafts for the kids.

  115. I was thinking I would do a baby stork congratulations card where they are flying holding a baby in a cloth, but a gothic version …a bit like the Addams family!!!!! 😆

  116. I won’t lie, the bats are the item I am most excited about. Bats are an important part of our eco system here and are one of the topics at our desert museum. I would probably make a thank you card for the employees there.

  117. These bats are so cute! I can see some adorable Valentine’s Day cards using them. Also birthday cards. I can’t wait!

  118. Love the bats! I think you could use them in a fall card with the scarecrow and the moon, overlooking his pumpkins at night!

  121. I would use the bats for a Valentines Day card – “I’m batty about you” – and I’d use either Flippy Flappy or the Swish n Pop dies. The moon would look very nice in my moon themed journal – you can never have too many bats and moons!!

  122. Those bats are the cutest, thought I’d never say that!. They could be used any time of year with the right accessories. You Old Bat, You Old Batty… You’re my BAT Man… Do these wings make me look Bat? LOL…

  123. This set is the one I think I’m most excited for since these bats are a great new addition to spooky friends! Also love seeing the variations of use for the moon stencil!

  124. I like “Let’s Hang Out!” or “Hang in There!” I know a few “old bat”s that I could send some cards to as well. 🙂

  125. I would make a Valentine’s Day card to my loved one saying I’m batty for you!
I also would use for Birthday card saying you’re an Old Bat!
    These bats are adorable!

  126. Super CUTE! I love the bats and I think they would make a really cute “love” style card for someone including my husband on our anniversary…we love watching the bats in the night sky together!

  127. I would make a “welcome to the Cave State” (Missouri) card! That would be so cute to combine these bats with the stitched dens die! Or, maybe a valentines day card orrrr an anniversary card for my husband. Let’s be honest, we love them, can’t live without them, but sometimes they drive us “Batty”!

  128. The ones with the outstretched wings kind of look like superhero mice… Like a cute “mighty mouse” that might be fun to encourage a shy one to be brave 🙂

  129. Such cute bats! I’d use them for Valentines and Birthday cards along with Halloween but they would be fun for Christmas with little Santa hats too..

  130. Off the top, I know I would use the bats on birthday cards…for those old bats😉🤭
I’m sure other ideas will come to me.

  131. I would use them for a welcome to a new home card! With a fireplace and the bats either flying out of them with a banner or just hanging around haha.

  132. My first thoughts for the little upside down hugging hanging bats was a sentiment like hang in there for an encouragement card. They are too cute!

  133. Oh my goodness that bats are just the sweetest! My first thought other than halloween is to use the bats on a Valentines card…💗

  134. I was thinking this would be a cool set for a Nightmare before Christmas themed Christmas card background.

  135. Those bat critters are adorable. I have a Halloween frame that I hang on the wall with removable areas, magnetic, I would create a scene with the bats and put them in it.

  136. Such a cute set 😍 Our family love to play rounders so I would use the bats to show the ‘batter’ in a game 🤾‍♀️

  137. they aren’t scary looking so they could be
used for a birthday card. Kids would
probably enjoy getting them on their
cards. fun idea. thanks for sharing

  138. My daughter in law has a bday in October and she loves Halloween so I will make her a bday card with the new bat stamps!

  139. Fangtastic Friends bats are so cute and I love the many ways they are used. I could see using these bats on an everyday or birthday card with the saying “Just flying in to . . . ” wish you happy birthday, check on how you are doing, let you know I am thinking about you, etc. I also think these critters are great because they are so friendly looking.

  140. Bat are super cool mammals! There are over 1100 types of bats. I would make a summer card with them since I always notice them during the summer flying around to eat the mosquitos.

  141. I have used bats on Christmas cards before; they look adorable with Santa hats on. These little bats would be perfect for that.

  142. Leave it to Lawn Fawn to make bats adorable. I’m terrified of them in person (same with mice) but now I don’t know how I can live without these stamps. And the full moon die is fabulous along with the stencil.

Other than Halloween, I think I would use them for a cute Valentines card.

  143. For any kids into baseball, the bats could be playing ball. A picnic scene with the bats instead of the ants, eating strawberries. Or a camping scene card with one eating s’mores upside down while the other critters roast marshmallows. As an encouragement card “I know life has been batty lately but hang in there!”

  144. I love scrapbooking and we’ve been talking about taking our son to a cave exhibit. These bats would be the cutest little additions to a cave layout!

  145. What a Batty Great Set! Oh, the couple would make a GREAT Valentine card! Love at first Bite! (yes that was a movie and one of my childhood favorites!) I’m also feeling a baseball bat themed card coming too!

  146. So much cuteness! I love the single bat hanging upside down so much, I would love to see it in a welcome baby card 😍😁 it totally looks like a swaddled baby!!

  147. Where I live we love to see bats flying around at night, they are wonderful at keeping the mosquito population down! I think they would be cute around any night time campfire scene.

  148. My first thought is to use the bats for some cute Halloween cards, but I think I’d use them more for hanging out with cards. The inked backgrounds are stunning! Can’t wait for the release. My bank account not so excited!

  149. I love that these bats transcend the seasons. I think they will be perfect for every day cards to let people know that they are “fangtastic”.

  150. Such cute little bats! I think the bats would be cute on any kind of card. Some fun puns you can use with them like “Thanks for BATting the breeze with me!” Thank you for the chance to win!!

  151. I would pair with the s’more the merrier, the build-a-campsite and mountain stencil for more options of outdoor/camping creatures! I’ve used that theme for Father’s Day, birthday, and love cards!

  152. I am soooo in love with the bats and all of these new products! They’d be super cute with the sports items from the last release. (“I’d go to bat for you!”) or with the outdoors/camping sets as an additional critter!

  153. I would use these bats for a cute zoo trip scrapbooking page. Or for a camping night invite. They are so adorable!

  154. I were to win the bat theme I would make bat puns.
For example, “Love at first bite.” “When things seem to be upside down.” For birthdays, ” Bat-a-cake.” “Congrats to your suck-cess!” LOL

  155. The release so far looks super cute. I would use the bats for a layout to commemorate going to Mammoth Cave national park in Kentucky! We went before Covid and it was fun. They have tons of bats there!

  156. I never knew i liked bats until now! How adorable. I’m sure you can put a party hat on them and make a party scene! Can’t wait for more card examples to get inspired by! I love the design team’s creations.

  157. I would love to add the bats to a scrapbook page about the time we took our Granddaughters to the zoo and they saw the fruit bats. Or I could always use them to tell the story about how I was almost attacked by a bat on the 19th floor of a hotel in Reno, NV, luckily for me my husband was able to knock it out with a bag containing some new shoes I had just bought. Those shoes will forever be known as my bat shoes LOL!

  158. I would use the new bats in a night time outdoor card with a tent or camper. We have lots of outdoorsy folks in our family. they will love them!

  159. Each card is a treat! Love the bats and the moon!
I’d make my daughter a fun birthday card with the bats!

  160. All the items are amazing and I have several ideas for them. I create a bat birthday party card, have the bats join a tea party, or I’m going batty card

  161. I think these bats would be so cute with the flip the flap tree background and a variety of other critters for a fall card. You could also have the bats dropping presents down the chimney for a Christmas card.

  162. I never thought I could love a bat, but these are Absolutely Adorable!!!!!
My Kids say I’m a bit batty, lol so I have lots of ideas!!!

  163. Love the bats! I would incorporate them in a camping or cave scene to send for birthdays or sleepover camp mail.

  164. I would for sure a fall/night scene of some sort or a kids birthday card with those cute little guys 😉 For sure not ALL Halloween ✌🏽

  165. The bats remind me a little of my Netherland dwarf bunny who is not friendly!! He is like a little vampire bat with his surprise attacks so, I’d use the cute little bats to adorn a layout about him!

  166. I love these sets! Halloween is my jam! But I could also se me using these for a birthday or frindship card, “You’re bat-tastic!” or even for Valentine’s day, “You drive me batty!”

  167. I think that the full moon and the nighttime sky will be great additions for all kinds of cars making and for the window scenes.

  168. I definitely see so many possibilities. Oddly, the ones that can hold the banner, I could totally see them decorating a holiday tree. I also had a bat come down my chimney once, so there are some possibilities there as well. Such an adorable set.

  169. I would love to make a flippin’ awesome card with first the bat hanging, sleeping. Panel two he unfolds his wings, panel three he is travelling and panel four he joins his friend in holding the banner for a ‘fangtastic day’. I think my 5-year old niece would love that card!

  170. I would probably use it for October birthdays. I’m not creative enough to think of what else I would use it for! They are so cute.

  171. I would combine the bats with the spell items and cauldrons from purrfeclty wicked and create a witchy themed birthday card for a friend whose birthday is just before Halloween!

  172. Barns was the first thing that came to mind for using bats in a way not associated with Halloween… bats living in barns. My second thought was caves. Then bat houses and trees. Then Batman, Gotham City, etc. How any of these things can be made into cute a card is beyond me… LOL!

Love the stamp set, by the way, and all the various backgrounds!

  173. I would put them in a cave setting. Something about being with you makes me “batty”…. Or “makes my heart pitter batter.”

  174. What amazing inspiration! If I had this stamp I would use it with other forest friends stamps and maybe do a nighttime camping theme card.

  175. A Flying by to say HI card. What about an anniversary card for an long time married couple? “Glad were going Batty together”?

  176. Bats eat mosquitoes at Lake Chautauqua, so I love bats! The single sleeping bat looks just like the baby one we found sleeping under our patio umbrella.

  177. Love the sweet little bats I think they would work great for anniversary, birthday. I think i like anniversary the most. They are the cutest and sweetest looking little guys.

  178. Reading through the comments it looks like there are many great ideas to use the bats, other than just Halloween. Definitely a stamp set for my wish list!

  179. I love the idea of having bats decorate a Christmas tree or stirring batter for cookies. I’d imagine that three bats would look adorable everywhere that a mouse is in the other lawnfawn stamp sets!

  180. I would use it to make some birthday cards saying i hope your birthday is fangtastic or i hope you have a fangtastic birthday

  181. Well, I don’t celebrate Halloween here in Australia, but we do have fruit bats so I would create cards that play on that idea. The sneak peek I have seen of some apples would complement this idea beautifully 😋

  182. I didn’t know bats could be sooo cute! I think I would use them for an anniversary card, or maybe a thinking of you card, instead of a Halloween card. Of course they are perfect for Halloween!

  183. First, this set is so adorable. 2nd, how is it that I find these bats the most adorable’est but bats in real life freak me out (same with mice yo). How I would use them? I’d make a birthday card with cake and candles and presents a plenty. having the bats carrying the presents as they fly and dropping them in a huge pile! Oh, I need this set!

  184. Immediately though of some cheesy Dracula lines like “I vant to wish you a…” or maybe recreate the bat on fern gully. He was quite the character, as expected of since it’s voiced by Robin Williams. A GOAT in his own right.

  185. I would use the Car Critters stamp/die and make they Batmobile with Batman and Bats flying around! Have a FangTastic Day!

  186. OMG such a fun set. I would definitely make some birthday cards and Let’s hang out hello card. Love love love the bats and so thrilled they are not restricted to just Halloween.

  188. These are too cute! My friends would love cards with these! I would make Halloween theme birthday cards for my friends with October birthdays

  189. I totally forgot to say how I might use them. I’m thinking why not a baby card? You could color them in light grays, the sign could be done in pastels. Not all people like your standard baby card. I think it would still be super adorable!

  190. I’d love to make an anniversary card for my husband with the bat couple and “love hanging with you” sentiment.

  191. These little bats are just the cutest! I think I would use the bats to make some nightmare before Christmas themed cards!

  194. Eeek these bats are SO SWEET! I read the novel, “Silverwing” by Kenneth Oppel each year to my class and could totally see making a card or bookmarks with this set for the book’s bat characters!

  195. I love each and every one of these cards and I’m already planning to buy pretty much everything featured today. I love bats year round, so I could use them for anything and everything. My friends have gotten Xmas cards with bats on them from me in the past, so it wouldn’t be unexpected!

  196. I would use the bats for a fun twilight summer notecard. It’s fun to see bats come out in the warm evenings.

  197. I would use the bats to make an encouragement card. I would have an upside down bat with the sentiment “Hang in there”. Then put another bat on another branch with the sentiment “I’m always here for you”. I really think that card would make someone who’s feeling down smile!

  198. These little bats are so adorable!!! Oh, my goodness!! Definitely could see them being used on a birthday card!

  199. These are such cute sets … when I first saw the peeks I was sad because we don’t really celebrate Halloween in Australia, but now that I see all the sentiments I love the idea of a birthday or ‘fang you’ card!! So now I can get both sets!!!

  200. I am thinking a pun for sports, like bat-ter up, or even that hilarious, old school Vine “It’s frickin’ bats” 😂😂

She has a black cat called jyinx and is covered in bat tattoos, these two sets combined are purrfect for her !

  225. Those bats are adorable!! I would use them for V-day, and also to send to my family in Austin, where they have “bat watching” cruises. They’d be cute for any night-time scene, even Christmas. The moon die and stencils are amazing!

  226. I had another idea to combine the bats from the add on with the washing line and baby clothes from “A Little Bundle” so it will look like the bats are holding up the washing line full of cute gothic onesies! I am here for it 🤘loving the thought of being able to create alternative cards 😁

  227. Super cute! I’m sure I’d find a use for a bat in a camping scene. We saved a bat just this week that had fallen into the lake and couldn’t get out!

  298. Those bats are fangtastic, and they make me go all batty! I would use them on Valentines cards, birthday cards and on cards for friends I want to hang out with, or just to till someone they are fangtastic. 🦇❤️🦇

  299. So… when I was younger; we lived on a farm one summer and one night a bat got caught in the attic and then when I opened up the door to peek in the attic, it flew into the rest of the house! Luckily it only stayed on the top floor and never went downstairs and never bit anyone.
I would create a layout with the bat cuties and get a photo of my mom who was freaking out by the way (I just thought it was hilarious) and do a scrapbook page with some bats and a “going batty’ theme! I could use the build a house die along with the pumpkin house die to decorate the walls. (The farmhouse walls had all these neat vines painted on the walls in chalk like paint colonial hues.) Oh my mother would love it! After she lambasted me for teasing her!

  300. I’m not one to usually send Halloween cards, but the bats are so cute that I would regardless LOL 😂 It would be fun to also find different ways to integrate them into other events !
