Mimi’s Clever Interactive Beehive Card

Mimi created a brilliant interactive bee box beehive using elements in a different way from lots of sets. Her creativity resulted in a super cute and clever card design featuring Build-A-Bee!

Mimi used the bottom portion of Workshop Backdrop: Portrait to the make the bee box hives cutting them from Mist cardstock. She used the envelope flap die in the Watering Can set as the box handles. And she used the thin strips from Pull ‘n Slide Surprise as detail on the boxes.

Then she cut a Large Stitched Rectangle from white cardstock to add cute bees buzzing around the hive with Bee Happy Background Stencils. Mimi created the interactive pull tab pop-up using Let’s Toast Pull Tab Add-On.

She fashioned the bee box frame with the Double Slider Surprise track piece. And then she cut the center out using the window piece from the original Ta-Da Diorama. Honeycomb Backdrop then fills the frame layered on a backing panel.

And finally, Mimi decorated the hive with Build-A-Bee cuties and flowers. She also stamped the punny messages from Henry’s Build-A-Sentiment Honey Bee on the stenciled background and on a label from Harvest Crate.

Here’s how Mimi combined the pieces for the honeycomb frame and hive box.

Thank you so much for sharing this brilliant card design, Mimi!
