Today is our showcase of Build-A-Cat and Henry’s Build-A-Sentiment: Cat! Say hello to this ‘mew’ cat addition to the Build-A-Critter Collection! This set has all the pieces you need to make a sitting or standing cat. Add some super sweet sentiments to finish off your project using Henry’s Build-A-Sentiment: Cat.

Design Team Inspiration

The design team has made the most amazing samples! We also have a video at the end showcasing some fun ways of using all these new goodies! Remember to click on the person’s name to see all of the details and then leave these wonderful DT girls some comment love!

Mindy‘s Build-A-Cat looks so adorable in an oval vignette with a punny message from Henry’s Build-A-Sentiment: Cat! She stenciled grass and clouds on the Small Stitched Oval then layered it on a Stitched Scalloped Oval. And the Favorite Flannel Fall paper is a great backdrop!

Karin‘s sweet design is so “purrfect” featuring those cute kitty faces and her amazing water coloring! She used Fancy Scalloped Rectangle to frame the clever grid pattern, then she stamped the sentiment from Hocus Purr-cus on an Everyday Sentiment Banner.

Chari‘s invited Jenn’s two cats, Gus and Jack, to be her models for this “wicked” fun Halloween card! With Build-A-Potion Bottle, Build-A-Drink Mason Jar and Stitched Windy Backdrop this card is purr-fectly spooky!

There’s so much cuteness crafted into June‘s sweet thank you card! She framed Build-A-Cat in a Stitched Scalloped Oval and surrounded the cute kitty with Big Blossom Flowers! Then she created the greeting with Scripty Thanks and the new Scripty Thanks Outline Add-On.

Grace placed these precocious Build-A-Cat felines in a fun design with Plant-A-Succulent! I love how one of the cats is hanging onto the Stitched Sentiment Banner with a punny Henry’s Build-A-Sentiment: Cat message.

Elise‘s Build-A-Cat card has three times the cuteness with this trio of kitties! And it’s even more purr-fect with a message from Henry’s Build-A-Sentiment: Cat!

Melissa‘s Halloween card is so “meowgical” with a witch hat wearing Build-A-Cat! She created this amazing scene with Lift the Flap Tree Backdrop, Pick of the Patch jack o’ lanterns, and bats from Scalloped Treat Box Haunted House Add-On.

June‘s card to welcome a new baby is so sweet! She created a pretty nursery using Workshop Backdrop: Portrait with shelves for the Build-A-Cat felines to sit. She added sweet touches using the scalloped vallance from Window Frame and sentiments from Elephant Parade and Swan Soirée.

Tammy‘s Build-A-Cat is brewing up some spooky fun with Giant Hocus Pocus, Build-A-Cauldron and Build-A-Critter Costumes!

Bright, happy colors and a super cute Build-A-Cat make Latisha‘s design so whimsical! It’s the purr-fect way to wish someone special a “pawsome purrthday”!

Audrey created a charming card with fun Halloween details from Stitched Pumpkins, Cute Cobweb, Build-A-Critter Costumes and Shadow Box Card Halloween Add-On! I love the pink and white Simple Stripes: Portrait background, but the star of this show is the adorable Build-A-Cat!

There are so many spooky elements in Jennifer’s fun interactive card featuring Build-A-Cat! She set her scene in a Workshop Backdrop: Portrait with Build-A-Cauldron! And then she added more details from Build-A-Critter Costumes, Build-A-Potion Bottle and Art Supplies.

To create the movement, Jennifer used Swish ‘n Pop Pull Tab so the cat can move back and forth while stirring the bubbling potion in the cauldron! So clever!

  4. oh I HAVE TO HAVE THIS KITTY! I already have build-a-fox and all the clothes and accessories! Yay! So, although I’m a cat person, I have friends with dogs, and Build-a-Dog would be great, since I already have those clothes and accessories for fox as I mentioned!

  29. A Bear (koala/panda/polar) would be a fun addition. But an add-on set that would let you make dragons/dinosaurs would get a lot of use in my house!

  39. I have turkeys and deer visiting in my backyard, so I’d love to see either one of those for the next critters in the series. Whatever critter comes along will be so fun to build and dress!

  49. OMG! The build a cat is definitely going with my collection of the fox and the bunny. I think a dog with a couple of different ear options would a great addition to the collection.

  134. As critters to build, I adore dogs and (teddy) bears—probably why I’m going to get the new Big Hugs popup. Ha ha! I love that (s)he can be any type of bear: polar, brown, black, paisley, or panda.

  141. This is a hard one, A dog with various ear types and tail choices, first. Then, a teddy or other type of bear (panda, polar) or Koala. A mouse, sloth, anything with arms. and it would be great if they could all go with the “hug” interaction piece, too. Smiles

    I think a good addition to the Build A Critter set would be birds!! You could use it with the cat set, or on it’s own of course. It would also go with the bird feeder die set! Or the branch dies and cloud stencils. So many possibilities.

  222. The build a cat is so cute! No longer will we have to turn our foxes into cats!!! What critter should you do for the future? I feel like a mouse is very on brand for Lawn Fawn, but as I scrolled through I saw someone suggested an elephant and I think that would be adorable.

  225. I would love a doggie since I love dogs. I also would love to get a penguin because the mascot at the college I work at is a penguin and it would be fun to make cards and decorations themed for my office.

  229. A squirrel with their cute bushy tail would be nice for a future critter with an acorn and oak leaf, peanut (whole shell, cracked open with peanut showing, and out of the shell), ear of corn and sunflower seeds.
