Jessica’s Scootin’ By Birthday Card

We can’t wait to start sharing all of the amazing new products we have been working on! Summer Release Week starts on Wednesday June 16 with our Big Giveaway Post! We hope you will join us, we are so excited!

Our Fawnie, Jessica joins us today to share a super cute Scootin’ By birthday card design!

Jess gave her background a beautiful watercolor look using Distress Oxide inks in Salvaged Patina, Rustic Wilderness and Twisted Citron. She used the ink smooshing technique on the Puffy Cloud Border tree top and the sun as well!

She die cut the Grassy Border in just a bit from the side of the background so that she could tuck the Little Picket Fence Border and Lift the Flap Tree Backdrop behind it. It’s such a fun way to add some detail and interest.

She stamped the images from Scootin’ By and Virtual Friends Add-On with Jet Black ink. Then she colored them with Copic markers, adding lots of character! I love how the little mouse is hiding behind the flap in the tree ready to send birthday wishes!

Jess finished the greeting from the card front on the inside using Magic Messages! She filled in the open letters with a white gel pen for some subtle definition!

Thank you for sharing this adorable card with us today, Jess! I love the special design details you created!

Lawn Fawn Video {4.29.21} Chari’s Colored Pencil Storybook Card

Today we have a fun slimline card designed by Chari! She shows us how to use colored pencils to give a soft storybook look to her images! You can watch the video tutorial below or click HERE to watch at our YouTube channel.

Thank you for watching! I hope you enjoyed the video!

Chari created a sweet scene featuring some friends we all know and love! She stamped the images from Den Sweet Den, Hay There and So Owlsome, then colored them using colored pencils. She used scissors to fussy cut the images so they look like they are in the pages of a storybook!

The bright wash of colors in our Watercolor Wishes paper collection become a perfect background! She used 12×12 papers in Wishing Well blue for the sky and Four-Leaf Clover green for the grass and tree canopy. The tree is our Lift the Flap Tree Backdrop, trimmed down to just one tree.

I love all the sweet little details Chari added! The cute little bees from Bee Mine are perfect with the bee hive created with a Mini Easter Egg! And adding the leaves from Leafy Tree Backdrop: Portrait gives the tree top more character!

Chari included an encouraging quote from Winnie the Pooh on her design! She stamped it out using Harold’s ABCs which has a fun cartoon style!

Thank you so much for sharing this adorable design with us today, Chari!

The Design Team will share lots of ideas using old and new Spring products along with daily giveaways! (Make sure to comment for a chance to win: a stamp set and coordinating dies of your choice, and a 6×6 paper pad of your choice!)

Grace starts our fun Fawny Spring Week with an amazing slimline Swish ‘n Pop Pull-Tab card! From the Butterfly Kisses Flip-Flop fox chasing butterflies, to the cute ducklings and the friends in a cozy den; this card says Spring loud and clear!

The Swish ‘n Pop allows the cute fox to chase a butterfly from one side to the other side!

Grace created lots of dimension for this little den! Her little bunny, squirrel and snail friends wish you a Happy Spring!

To create this woodland background, Grace used Lift the Flap Tree Backdrop which she trimmed to 2 trees. Then she added the tree tops using Puffy Cloud Borders!

Audrey‘s card is full of gorgeous sunshine! She combined the older Hello Sunshine birds with a new Magic Messages sentiment! I love how the cute birds are perched on Simple Puffy Clouds on the sunny watercolor background!

What could be more Spring-y than flying kites on a cool, breezy day! Chari‘s beautiful design features Yay, Kites! I love how the bright, colorful kite scene pops on the subtly stamped kraft background!

Chari added the stamped and die cut hello with a pretty pink shadow! You will find this sentiment in Yay, Kites! as well.

Renata‘s wreath features pretty pastel flowers on bright green Stitched Leaves! She used both stamped flowers from Fab Flowers and die cut flowers from Build-A-Basket: Easter! The sweet little bird is found in Magic Iris Birdhouse Add-On! I love the touches of gold in the bow and the gold embossed Simply Sentiments greeting!
