Chinese New Year Ideas with Ivy!

We are so excited about our new Spring 2019 product release that we will be sharing at Creativation next week! We’ve been working hard to bring you lots of wonderful new stamps, dies, ink, and paper collections! Sneak Week is January 14 – 18 and we can’t wait to share everything we’ve been working on! Here we have a little sneaky peek for you!

Ivy joins us today to share traditional gifts of good luck for Chinese New Year! Her gorgeous red and glittery gold card and gift envelope are perfect for celebrating the Year of the Pig on February 5th!

Ivy started her amazing card by layering a Chili Pepper Polka Heart Backdrop over more Chili Pepper cardstock, this gives the background a classy look! Then she added a bold greeting by die cutting Cole’s ABCs from our gold glitter cardstock from the Holiday Sparkle pack. Our cute little pig from Critters on the Farm is stamped on Watercolor Wishes paper then die cut and framed in a gold glitter Stitched Scalloped Square Frame!

Ivy stamped the firecracker from our retired Happy 4th set multiple times and strung them on Black Tie cord for some super cute added detail and fun! Here’s a crafty tip from Ivy to get the letters lined up: “butt each row of letters up against the edge of a ruler or acrylic block. Then using a length of washi tape longer cover the whole line of letters. Flip over, apply glue on all them flip back over and position onto card. When securely adhered, carefully remove tape. It is such a time (and sanity saver)”

Ivy created a Small Stitched Envelope using more Chili Pepper and gold glitter cardstock! She die cut the envelope flap a second time in red to add detail and definition to the envelope!

Ivy’s beautiful card and envelope are a festive and fun addition to the store-bought red envelopes!

Thank you so much, Ivy for sharing your amazing creativity with us today!

The notecards are stamped using Thanks a Latte and die cut with a Stitched Rectangle! I love how she added fun dimension and texture with a sprinkling of gold watercolor paint and some shading using Hickory Smoke Distress Oxide ink!

Lawn Fawn + Marvy Day 5

We hope you enjoyed our collaboration week with our friends at Marvy Uchida! Our Design Team has more awesome ideas for you today using Marvy products! We hope you will be inspired!

Lizzy created a fabulous, summery watercolor background on her card using Marvy Brush Markers! The I Scream, You Scream popsicles look great in bright summer colors! The fun greeting is in our new Village Shops set!

I love how Yainea combined the cute sloth from Hang in There with our cute new sloth from Slow Down and Enjoy! She colored them using Marvy Permanent Le Plume alcohol markers. Her unique greeting combines the sentiment from Slow Down and Enjoy with a die cut greeting found in the Small Stitched Envelope die set.

Nicole‘s adorable Manatee-rific design has a cool background water-colored with Color In Le Plume II markers and Stitched Wave Borders! She also colored the manatee and added the cute faux-stitching with the same markers!

We hope you have enjoyed the inspiration we’ve shared this week and that you’ve gotten some new ideas for using Marvy products in your crafting!
