Renata’s Clever Window Card

Renata joins us today to share a beautiful card with a clever window detail!

Renata used Distress Oxide ink in Wilted Violet, Blueprint Sketch and Chipped Sapphire to blend the sky on the card front. She splattered on some water to create a light bokeh effect.

Next, Renata cut a panel from the front leaving 1 1/4″ on each side creating two flaps. She blended the Distress Oxide ink adding Lucky Clover and Cracked Pistachio on two white cardstock panels cut with Simple Grassy Borders; one shorter one for the front and a taller one for the inside. She stamped the sentiment on the short one then glued it to the flaps.

Renata stamped the images from Upon a Star, A Bug Deal, Oh Gnome and Fairy Friends with Jet Black ink. Then she colored them with Copic markers. She adhered the images from A Bug Deal to the flaps. And then she tucked the flowers and mushroom in the grassy hillside.

Renata used another white panel to white heat-emboss the stars and constellations from Upon a Star. Then she blended more of the Distress Oxide ink, this time making the color deeper. The white embossed stars resist the ink making them pop!

She adhered the panel inside the card, attached the taller grassy hillside and added the Upon a Star foxes!

This card is so adorable! Thank you for sharing with us today, Renata!

Lawn Fawn Video {4.28.20} Kara’s Piñata Magic Picture Changer!

Kara is back with us today to show us how she made this festive birthday card! What’s a party without a piñata? Kara used the Magic Picture Changer to create some smashing fun! You can watch the video below or click HERE to watch at our YouTube channel.

Thanks for watching!

Kara incorporated the Meadow Backdrop: Portrait into the the colorful Magic Picture Changer scene! She combined Year Seven and Party Animal for all the fun party decorations, gifts and of course, the piñata! Then Butterfly Kisses, Dandy Day and Upon a Star were used to assemble all of the party guests!

I love how the picture changes from the sentiment to all of the candy spilling from the piñata, it’s such a fun idea!

This card is just so festive and fun, Kara! Thanks for sharing this great video tutorial with us today!

We can’t wait to see you all and craft together!

Our Fawnie, Jess, joins us today with some versatile and fun birthday card ideas!

For this sweet Reveal Wheel design, Jess used the cute little bunny from Upon a Star to “make a birthday wish”! She used the Reveal Wheel Square Add-On and the Speech Bubble Add-On along with the Essential Shapes Template! I love how she used the sentiments from Tiny Tag Sayings: Birthday to fill the Reveal Wheel window, they fit perfectly!

Jess using our Woodgrain cardstock in the charcoal color as the card base! It looks so amazing with how she colored the bunny and gives the card a bit of a masculine look that makes it great for celebrating the guys in your life!

Jess stamped her image with River Rock ink! She then used Copic markers for coloring with a soft look!

This birthday card is so striking with its accents of gold and black stripes! Jess started with Gold Rush cardstock die cut with a Stitched Rectangle Stackables die. Then she added diagonal stripes of Black Licorice cardstock for a bold graphic design! She die cut the Scripty Happy die then made it special with a few coats of Gold Embossing Powder!

Thank you so much, Jess! We all need new ideas for making eye-catching birthday cards and your inspiration today is just perfect!
