2 sketches 4 you 57: Hi!

DSC_0157

Hi! Welcome to 2 Sketches 4 You day! I hope you guys are all doing well! I am writing you from Chicago! Wooo! I have been here a few days early visiting my parents and my grandmother, who is also visiting from Miami! It’s been fun and crazy, and so was making this card! I thought my Mom had a paper trimmer, yeah, she doesn’t! Haha! This card was made with a box cutter and a ruler. It was quite the adventure! Our sponsor this week is My Favorite Things and this is one of their fun digi stamps that I colored with Copics. I just love those dogs!

How fun is this sketch by Laura?! LOVE it! Oh, how I wish I had a punch for that white heart area! You guys are going to rock this! πŸ™‚

I had to get creative with my ribbon and I round some bright yellow rafia with my Mom’s wrapping paper. I distressed it with antique linen ink and a foam pad and it really gave it a cool color! I separated it out to get the fun bow shape. I made the background using Judy’s Blooms, Versamark, Copics and more antique linen.

Head on over to the 2 Sketches 4 You blog and play along with us! We can’t wait to see what you create!

Card stock: Neenah (solar white, desert storm)
Stamps: My Favorite Things (let’s go for a walk), Lawn Fawn (judy’s blooms)

Ink: Versamark, Distress Ink (antique linen)

Etc: Studio Calico stickers, Copics, raffia
Thank you so much for visiting!
Have an amazing day,

CHA, Fun teaser for August, Whales, Beach Balls, and Mr. Lawn Fawn

Hi everyone! I have so much to go through in this post!
First thing first, did you sign up for the Lawn Fawn Hearts Cards for Kids blog hop yet? Click here to get all of the details!

Next up, I am leaving for CHA! I am heading to Chicago early to spend time with my parents there. It should be a blast! I am also taking the Copic certification class on Monday. I cannot wait for CHA. I really hope that I get to meet lots of you! I am horrible with faces so please yell at me. As for finding me, I’m 5’8″. That seemed to help at the last one! I am going to be taking LOTS of pics! I am going to post them to Flickr and link to that from here. I hope you guys will enjoy that!

Now, even though I am gone, Lawn Fawn is still shipping orders! My wonderful hubby and Lawn Fawn partner, Mike, will be sending orders! Get ready for thank you notes from Mr. Lawn Fawn himself. Hehe! πŸ™‚

Next, I have a super fun teaser for you! Something really exciting is happening August 1st and it has to do with how much Lawn Fawn loves Cup Cards To Go, and this is just a sneaky little peek:

Do you see what I see? πŸ˜‰ Keep your eyes on the Cup Cards To Go blog for more sneaks and details! πŸ™‚

And, finally, a fun card!

Critters in the Sea and Swimsuit Season are really fun together! My whale is an October Afternoon whale because he’s classy like that. Even though he is classy and fancy he loves beach balls, but only bejeweled ones. Hehe. (Can you tell I am lacking sleep?) I curved the sentiment on my block. Don’t you just love that you can do that with clear stamps?!

I made an ocean of ribbon using my Tiny Attacher. I just hid the staples in the pleats! It was actually really easy and fun to do and I only almost stapled my hand to the card once. That’s a score one for Kelly in my book :).

Hugs to you all. I will be blogging from Chicago! Let me know what you want to see! πŸ™‚
