Raspberry Suite Color Challenge #10, CPS121, & Thinking Inking

First of all, I cannot believe that Michael Jackson just died. I grew up with everything Michael. He was my Mom’s favorite, and I spent my childhood listening to Jackson 5 45s. I hope that the media lets him rest in peace. ~ This card has three challenges in it! Raspberry Suite, CPS 121 (for the first time), and the Thinking Inking two peas class!

Okay, so melon berry and berry sorbet are officially the…

Wedding in San Francisco

Here are some pictures from our recent trip up to San Francisco for a friend’s wedding. It was such a beautiful wedding! Very classic San Francisco, including views of Alcatraz and the Golden Gate!
At Mike’s parent’s house before the wedding. I call this dress my “Doris Day” dress. It makes me want to sing “Que sera sera”!
Gorgeous church where the wedding was held.
View from the reception.

Hallelujah, I Just Love Her So

I’m sorry I haven’t been posting. I love posting, so it makes me sad not to post! Work has been crazy! I also had to have a mole removed off my leg on Monday. Have any of you had that done before? It is totally creeping me out! I don’t like the thought of an open wound on my leg. Eeek! Anyways, I really hope to enter Kristina’s challenge today, so hopefully there will be…

tropical birthday

This weekend I am off to a friend from college’s wedding. It should be really fun! I am excited about getting dressed up and going to a downtown San Francisco wedding. 🙂 I made this card for my Dad to give my Mom for her birthday. My Mom loves the beach, so I thought it was perfect! This chipboard is so fun and glittery! I love it! I also got to use my new cloud…

flowers and the bees

Here is another card from way back that I never shared. I had just bought this My Cute Stamps set, and I couldn’t help but use it! This card is all sorts of random!
I made this strip of faux patterned paper with the flower stamps and copic markers. I love how vibrant copics are! By the way, is it coh-pics or cah-pics? I hear it pronounced both ways. I personally like coh-pic :). That…

Raspberry Suite Color Challenge #9

I am so glad I found time to do this challenge. How awesome are these colors? Here is my card! These flowers are from a Kristina digital cutting kit. I love them! I stamped them with text and houndstooth. I like the play of feminine and masculine with the patterns on the flowers.
The houndstooth on the new leaf card base has been clear embossed and the black card stock piece has been stamp with…

VEGAS!

Thank you so much for all the well-wishes for Vegas. We had such a great time, and my brother’s film Easier with Practice won the Grand Jury prize at the CineVegas Film Festival!!! How incredible is that? He is off to Edinburgh now for another festival. This one is even bigger, so I am excited for more people to see the film! I thought I would share some photos from our trip! The movie had…

What man (or woman, for that matter) doesn’t love a recliner?!

Hello everyone! Life is still at the insane level. I leave tomorrow morning for Vegas for my brother’s film premiere. I am so excited! Keep your fingers crossed that someone sees this film and decides to distribute it! That would be so amazing!! It really does deserve to be in theatres all around the country! I have actually never been to Vegas even though I have lived in SoCal for 11 years. I have super…

so so excited!!

I was a May gallery challenge winner for the PaperCrafts Connection blog. I cannot believe it! I am just so excited! I was chosen for this card that I made for my Mom, and here is the entry on their blog. Thank you so much to Dana for letting me know (check out her blog, she was the most wonderful cards!) It has seriously made my week. And thank you to you all for…

another family birthday!

Hello!! Life has been INSANE! I have no idea how to keep up, but I sure am trying. I leave on Friday for Vegas for my brother’s film festival so that is putting pressure on me to get all of these things done. My Mom’s birthday is actually the day after we all leave Vegas, so we will celebrate there! My Mom absolutely loves shoes. She even puts them all in labeled tupperware bins. She…
