Chari is back with another trio of Build-A-Cake designs! Her creativity is off the charts with these gorgeous, winter cake-themed cards! You can watch the video tutorial below or click HERE to watch at our YouTube channel.

Thank you so much for watching! I hope you are inspired to Build-A-Cake!

Chari’s winter-themed cakes are so beautifully creative! There’s a frosty cake, a spice cake and a winter woods cake! Each one is a masterpiece!

Frosty Cake

For the frosty cake, Chari used an icy color palette with white, Mermaid and Peacock cardstock layers. She used Pixie Dust Sparkle cardstock for the frosting and piped trim. Then she added more sparkle with Mini Snowflakes in both Pixie Dust and Holographic cardstock. The Ice Blue Bokeh paper makes the perfect frosty background!

Spice Cake

The yummy spice cake is so warm decorated with cinnamon sticks, star anise, dried oranges and cranberries. The cake, in Paper Bag cardstock, was cut down to make it shorter, then it’s topped with “cream cheese” frosting in Speckled Eggshell cardstock.

Chari set the cake on a Build-A-Cake Add-On pedestal tied with hemp twine. Then she layered the cake on a Giant Messages: Holiday coordinating oval die cut and a Quilted Diamond Backdrop. She added a sentiment from Winter Wavy Sayings on a Simple Wavy Banner.

Winter Woods Cake

This Winter Woods cake is so magical! Chari stenciled the kraft layers with Winter Sprigs Background Stencils and Doe ink. Then she added metallic gold highlights. She decorated the cake with woodsy trees from Build-A-Snow Globe and Village Hillside Border and pinecones, sprigs and tiny birds from Build-A-Birdhouse Christmas Add-On.

I love how the white “snowy” splatters on the cake and the Mini Snowflakes on the Favorite Flannel background add a chilly wintry look. As a final touch, Chari white embossed a Henry’s Build-A-Sentiment: Winter greeting on a trimmed Everyday Sentiment Banner.

I love these “cakes” so much, Chari! Thank you for inspiring us today!

Mayra joins us today to share an adorable Build-A-Fox card! These cute foxes are all warm and cozy in Build-A-Critter Winter Accessories!

Mayra started with a Stitched Square Stackable panel, Grassy Border and Simple Stitched Hillside inking them to create the background for the pair of foxes. She used pinecones and greenery from Build-A-Birdhouse Christmas Add-On to add pretty holiday detail. Then she layered this on another Stitched Square of All the Sparkles petite paper. I love how she used an older set, Say What? Holiday Critters for the white embossed sentiments! They are so perfect for this cute card!

Then Mayra dressed up two foxes for the cold weather! I love how she cut the Noble Fir cardstock with Quilted Backdrop before cutting out the hats and vests! The extra detail is so clever!

Thank you so much for this brilliant inspiration, Mayra!

Jessica’s Build-A-Bird Feeder Ornament Card

Jessica joins us today with another beautifully clever card to inspire you! She created a fun holiday card with a detachable Build-A-Bird Feeder ornament!

Jessica’s Build-A-Bird Feeder ornament card starts with Candy Cane Lane petite paper for the background! She used Tree Branches Backdrop: Portrait as a place to “hang” the bird feeder.

There’s a sweet holiday message from Winter Birds Add-On hiding under the ornament.

To make the ornament, Jessica cut two Build-A-Bird Feeder main pieces, and she cut the backer pieces with acetate making the ornament see-through. She cut lots of bird seed with the dies included in the Build-A-Bird Feeder set.

Then she attached ornament pieces with foam strips after filling them with the bird seed and placing a White Hemp Twine hanger on the top.

Jessica simply used washi tape on the inside of the card to secure the ornament making it easy to remove and hang on a Christmas tree. She stamped season’s and tweetings from Winter Birds one on each side of the bird feeder ornament! And she added a festive holiday touch with greenery and a red bow from Build-A Birdhouse Christmas Add-On.

Thank you so much, Jessica for sharing this brilliant ornament card idea!
