Play Date Cafe Challenge Guest Designer

Hello! I am so honored and excited to be guest designing for the Play Date Cafe’s challenge this week!
Their challenge this week is called “colour splash” (that’s for Sarah :)). It is such a cool idea: black and white with just a splash of color:This week’s color is orange. This challenge was definitely challenging for me as I tend to use lots of color with a splash of white. Hehe! I had so much fun stepping out of my box!

Also, Lawn Fawn has put up “Petite Florals” as a prize for the winner!

The butterfly is Hero Arts which I colored with my new Copics! I had such a fun time shading! ๐Ÿ™‚ Then I drew a butterfly trail, poked holes with my awl, and embroidered the trail with DMC floss. I have a feeling I will be doing this again! ๐Ÿ™‚

The doily is also Hero Arts. I love it! I heat embossed it with black American Crafts Zing! embossing powder. It’s so shiny in real life!

So come along and play with the colour splash at Play Date Cafe and have a chance to win “Petite Florals“. I can’t wait to see your creations!

Everything but the Kitchen Sink Challenge #13

Welcome to Everything but the Kitchen Sink’s 13th challenge! Yay! Thirteen is my favorite number! ๐Ÿ™‚

Here is the inspiration from the lovely Ann!
And here is the sketch:Our sponsor is May Arts. Yes, you heard me right. Those wonderful people that make ribbon nicer than most of my clothes have so generously donated a prize of multiple yards of 29 different ribbons! Wowza! I have to tell you that all of us EbtKS gals really want the prize. Hehe! ๐Ÿ™‚
When I saw the sketch, I saw a gift bag! This is the first gift bag I have ever made! I made one of my flowers I did for The Wedding Chicks, but I did it Christmas style! Then I used these fab Thickers I bought at Paper Tales in San Diego (LOVE that store). I just finished it off with some amazing May Arts ribbon after that! It is really simple, but a lot of fun, I think!

So come along and play with us and have a chance to win a mega stash of ribbon! Click here for Mr. Linky and all of the details. Make sure to check out the other EbtKS girls over in the side bar too! ๐Ÿ™‚
