Lawn Fawn DT Round Up: Mid November!

The design team has been creating lots of inspiring goodies this month! They are just amazing!! Thank you so much, fawny girls!

Lynnette created this amazing Just My Type and Just My Type, Too combo that was also published in CARDS magazine October. It is a wonderful reminder to decorate envelopes, too! I always mean to, and then forget!

Teri‘s Harvest Season card just feels so Fall and warm! It makes me want to get a slice of pumpkin pie and sit by a fire! 🙂

Lynnette‘s Christmas gift tags are just too cute! It is such a fantastic idea to have these already made and ready for the Holidays! She also combined so many sets for these: Hats Off to You, Critters in the Snow, Winter Bunny, & Bows and Holly. Lynnette donated these to an organization that is doing something special for hospitalized children. Go to her blog to learn more about it.

Tiff‘s card is just so cool! That twine heart is amazing! She used Teeny Tiny Backdrops and generation stamping to create her background!

Lea‘s card is absolutely gorgeous! Her color combo is just wowza! I love how she used the leaves from Harvest Season with the gems on them. So pretty!
Lynnette‘s card is way too cute! Oh my, I love it! Lots of Critters in the Sea goodness! 🙂 She creates the most fabulous scenes! The torn paper is brilliant for the sand, too! I just love it!
Thank you so much for visiting! And, thank you design team for being fabulous!

Have an amazing day,

First published Lawn Fawn

I thought I would show these cards today because I’ve heard that Card Creations: Favorite Occasions has a bunch of Lawn Fawn in it! I haven’t seen the magazine yet, but I can’t wait YAY! I can’t tell you how excited this makes me! Eeeeeks! So cool!! If you ever get published in print with Lawn Fawn, let us know when the magazine comes out so we can send you something! 🙂

The cards I am showing you today are cards that were the first published Lawn Fawn cards! Yay! This one above has a fun story! We we first started designing, we decided to try making a photopolymer stamp at home. (My biochemistry degree came in handy! Haha!) The stamp we made was of the dog from Critters in the ‘Burbs. I made this card right away and then months later decided to submit it, and it was accepted by CARDS for the May 2010 issue! I couldn’t believe the first Lawn Fawn card ever made was accepted! Thank you so much to CARDS for taking a leap of faith with us!

This card also appeared in the CARDS May 2010 issue. This one doesn’t have as fun of a story, but I was over the moon when I knew Lawn Fawn would be in a publication!

This last card was the first published card in a Paper Crafts publication, Card Creations 8. Thank you so much to Paper Crafts for taking a leap of faith with us, too! This has a funny story in that it has Petite Florals’s original name in the supplies list, “Petite Petals”. A printing error in final production of Petite Florals gave the set a new name that we’ve come to love!  🙂

Thanks for following my trip down memory lane! 🙂

Thank you so much for visiting!
Have an amazing day,

Everything but the Kitchen Sink Challenge #27

DSC_0108

Hello! Welcome to another EbtKS challenge. Winter is our hostess and her inspiration came from a beatuiful mosiac in her home. I decided to make the border with little strips of patterned paper. I also wanted to try combining Holiday with non Holiday paper, so I put together Basic Grey’s Jovial and Sassafras’s Mix and Mend. The sentiment is from Bows and Holly. I just went over it with a Spica pen for some extra glitter!

Winter’s inspiration and the sketch! Make sure to play along with us to have the chance to win a stamp set from Practicing Creativity!

Card stock: Neenah
Patterned Paper: Basic Grey, Sassafras
Stamps: Lawn Fawn (bows and holly)
Ink: ranger distress

Etc: Copic spica, Basic Grey sticker

Thank you so much for visiting!
