Lawn Fawn Video {7.2.19} Kara’s Clever Theater Card

We are so excited to have Kara Pogreba join us as our Guest Video Designer today! She used Say What? Pets in a super fun and creative way in today’s video tutorial! You can watch the video below or click HERE to watch at our YouTube channel.

Thank you for watching!

Kara used the Say What? Pets coordinating dies to create the “audience” at this super clever theater performance! I love how the “curtains” were made using the Stitched Simple Wavy Borders and a bit of Copic marker detail! Kara used the Beam Me Up set for the spotlight and cut the colorful speech bubbles from the Speech Bubble Backdrop!

She brought even more fun inside the card with the Critter Chatter: Pets translation! The greeting is a combination of Scripty Happy and Happy Birthday Line Border with Outside In Stitched Speech Bubbles and Stitched Speech Bubble Frames!

Thank you so much for sharing this amazingly clever and creative card, Kara!

  1. Wowww!! Stunning!! What a fabulous creative scene card! Awesome use of dies and I love those colors too! The curtains, seating, everything looks so real and lovely! 🙂

  2. This is incredible for many reasons. 1- I really liked the theatre add on to the shadow box (I grew up playing in band/orchestra and did some musical theatre too), but passed on the shadow box die, and the add on was a little pricey for me. I could get this versatile set and make my own theatre to fit my card!
2- Using the coordinating dies to create the silhouettes of the audience is brilliant! You could use any critter or even the screen time kids would be adorable!
Sooo cute! Thanks so much, Kara!

  3. Cute, cute, CUTE card Kara and awesome video too!! You always add so much detail that I would never think to add…like the audience, the party hats, and even not gluing down the bottoms of the curtains so they look like they’re flowing!! Loving how you combine so many different stamp sets too! AMAZING card my friend and just so happy to see your talents being appreciated by some of the larger companies like Lawn Fawn…way to go girl!!! :0)

  4. Fantastic card Kara!!! I love how you made silhouettes for the audience and the drawing technique for the perspective of the stage (haven’t used that in a long time). You did a great job of integrating several different dies and stamp sets. I’m a but of a speech bubble collector. The speech bubble background and the critter chatter have been on my wish list since the release.

  5. Oh wow! This is just amazing! Kara you are so talented! Love the audience and love the inside of the card too

  6. That video is absolutely SENSATIONAL! I really really really enjoyed this video! Kara, your amazingly creative takes on the LF dies and stamps are SUPERB!! Congrats on the guest design! Yay! ps: I am happy to be with one of the little animals in the back seat and watch you create!

  7. You aced it, Kara … what a fantastic video! Such a splendid scene … so creative … and beautifully detailed in every way … right down to the audience being glued in their seats (tee hee!) and wearing those cute party hats! Huge congratulations once again on your Guest Design spot at Lawn Fawn! Big hugs and bisous, Anita 🙂

  8. Great choice for your Guest Designer! Isn’t Kara just the BEST?! Her imagination and creative skills, combined with her professional-level Copic skills, leave me in awe time and time again! I mean, just look at this wonderful stage and audience and spotlight?! And making those curtains out of a wavy border? Please! Brilliant! Don’t you just want to live inside her brain and have a smidge of her skills? Hugs, Darnell
