Design Team Inspiration

The design team has made the most amazing samples! Remember to click on the person’s name to see all of the details and then leave these wonderful DT girls some comment love!

Our little reading skunk looks like he’s up to something spooky! Elena created a spooky scene with Spiderweb Background Stencils, Little Woodland Library, Sweet Spiders, Window Scene: Window and Purrfectly Wicked! But open the card to see what our spunky skunk has cooked up!

Swiveling into view is a Purrfectly Wicked cauldron full of wriggly worms and a boo-ful greeting! So cute!

Marine‘s Halloween card starts with Giant Trick or Treat! She layered it on a Pint-Sized Patterns Summertime square with a Stitched Scalloped Square Frame! And the orange gingham Fruit Salad paper looks fresh and fun in the background! But wait until you see what’s inside!

Wow! It’s a scene of the cutest spookiness! Marine combined Fangtastic Friends and Fangtastic Friends Add-On with the delightfully Sweet Spiders! And the Swivel Surprise reveals a gorgeous blue moon and eerie clouds stenciled with Nighttime Sky Stencil.

The holographic cardstock is so much fun as one of the Swivel Surprise moving circles!

Grace‘s birthday card is so cute and totally unique! She combined the new Coffee Cup Gift Card Holder with our Stitched Cupcake in a cheerful design! She mixed colorful papers from Pint-Sized Patterns Summertime with our two new collections Falling Leaves and Candy Cane Lane!

On the inside, Grace featured another coffee themed set, Lovely Latte with more colorful paper and a hot foil birthday greeting! I love how the coffee cup and curved sentiment swivel into place as the card opens!

Candy Cane Lane paper and our new Giant Feliz Navidad greeting are the perfect start to Latisha‘s fun holiday card!

There’s more of that cheery and bright paper on inside along with another new set, Peppy Penguin!

Elise‘s holiday card features our new Build-A-Christmas Tree with layers of Candy Cane Lane papers! She used gold metallic cardstock for the garland on the tree, so shiny!

And then, on the inside there’s more shiny gold with Scripty Joy and a Lilac Scripty Joy Outline Add-On!

We showed you Megan‘s adorable Halloween card to introduce Build-A-Cauldron but wait until you see the Swivel Surprise cuteness on the inside!

Megan placed the Cute Cobwebs in each corner and then added the little spider to the Swivel Surprise! She got so clever by using just the coordinating die for the spiderweb in Sweet Spiders to fill the circle. She cut it from vellum and added candies from Build-A-Cauldron.

Here’s another look at Grace‘s gorgeous card featuring Sunny Sunflower in a Watering Can! She added a lovely sentiment from Long Distance Hugs to create a very special design!

The Swivel Surprise inside reveals more beautiful sunflowers, to brighten your day!

Audrey kept the front of her card simple and adorable with cute Berry Special images on a Fruit Salad gingham background! Open the card for even more special strawberry fun!

She used Outside In Stitched Strawberry and Strawberry Patch berries to continue the theme to the inside of this “berry” sweet birthday card!

Grace created the perfect interactive card for thanking a favorite teacher! In addition to Swivel Surprise, she also used Book Collection, Tiny Gift Box Owl and Penguin Add-On! Whooo wouldn’t love it!

This Swivel Surprise card features our new Frosty Family and Frosty Family Add-On!

And another cute Frosty Family scene inside this Swivel Surprise card! This interactive set is so much fun and there’s no limit to the creative ways you can use it!

    Love lawn fawn

  28. OH MY GOSH!!! My head is spinning thinking of my stash, how great this SWIVEL SURPRISE will enhance the level of surprise when the cards are opened! I really LOVE that you designed its center piece to be circular. It’s the perfect shape for cute scenes. Idea 💡 just popped into my head: I wonder if Ready, Set, Go’s Snow Globe will fit on it and operate? Hmm … That will make such a cute Christmas card with “Let It Snow” ❄️ on the front with snowflakes! 🥰

  29. I love the new Swivel Surprise. Halloween cards with bats swinging by, Autumn cards with Pumpkin Spice Lattes being delivered … oh, so many uses!

  30. I think this would be awesome for special birthdays or to cheer someone up. At least, that’s how I would use it.

  31. Interactive cards are alot of fun. I however need alot of practice making the interactive style. I finally have learned the pop up card. Once I learn the interactive I’m sure it would be used for cards to my 2 great-nieces that like them.

  32. I don’t have any concrete ideas right now, but I love all of the mice, so it would probably be something with mice. And a colorful sunrise would be cute!

  33. I especially like the strawberry themed card so I would probably try to model something after that one ☺️

  34. I think this set would be really great for a space themed card, or you could turn it into a porthole and use the Ocean Shell-fie set!

  35. I love the fact that the interactive mechanism will work for ANY occasion, but I’m currently thinking of fall cards. Dreaming of cooler weather 🙂 Glad to hear everyone is getting better!

  36. I think I would use it for teacher cards with the owl swooping out or something, or maybe the tiny friends saying thanks.

  38. So glad Kelly Marie is feeling better. Can’t wait to see a video for this. Birthday cards will be fun. But Rocking Around the Christmas Cheese!!!! So cute!

  39. Honestly: I don’t know yet. I’m so excited because of the last card showing mice with a cheese tree – comes close to the old set Christmas Mice which I unfortunately missed and have been longing for ever since!

  40. I have several birthday cards to make this week so I will definitely be trying the swivel surprise. I also love the card by Grace with the coffee and I would love to recreate something similar!

  41. I can see either planets or a rocket swiveling around the moon or sun, maybe. I have to see the intro video to be sure I’m understanding how it really works.

  42. I make more birthday cards than anything, so probably something unexpected for a special birthday. My husband’s is the next one, so something for him.

  43. I’m gonna try little critters on the back circle – with party hats like they jumped out to say “surprise”

  44. This is so cute, I would love to use this on cards with lots of critter stamps and create cute cards for my colleagues!

  46. I’m not into interactive cards. They intimidate me. I’d love to try them though. This one looks fun. So excited for the new release to come out tomorrow! I couldn’t ask for a better birthday present! Thanks Lawn Fawn!

  47. Such a fun interactive die! Looking forward to seeing the intro video and how to assemble this one. Would make cute birthday cards with the age swiveling out.

  48. As soon as I saw the sunflower card I knew I would be making more like it to send to friends and for Cards for Kindness.

  49. I think it would work for pretty much any kind of cards, my mind thought of Valentines and space themed card straight away.

  50. I am interested in how this interactive die works. I will definitely look at the Video later today as I cant comprehend how it works yet.

  51. I totally miss the videos. You don’t even know which motifs belong to a stamp set or punch set. It’s all just speculation. I hope everyone is healthy again and I’ll be there live tonight. The perfect time for me in Germany, 9 p.m.

  52. I have so many cute Christmas themed stamps from lawn fawn so I would definitely use this die for Christmas cards! I can’t wait to see how it all works , I love cards that have a surprise inside.

  53. Birthday and holiday cards would be fun to make with the Swirl! I need lots of practice with the interactive dies. 😂

  55. This would be an awesome die for just about anything! I make birthday cards more than any other occasion, so I could see me using it for a cute cake or balloons. But a fun Halloween or Christmas scene would be just as fun!

  56. So glad to hear Kelly is on the mend. Also, so excited for this release. I would use this die to make cards for my grandkids – drawing inspiration from the amazing design team projects. See you at today’s video premiere.

  57. I will use the swivel surprise to make Halloween cards and then fall cards. Super adorable. Happy to hear Kelly is on the mend.

  58. Looking forward to seeing how it actually works. If it works the way I think maybe presents swiveling around a Happy Birthday greeting or cake.

  59. Swivel Surprise looks like so much fun, I can’t wait to see it in action. My kids and family love getting Lawn Fawn interactive cards. I think they like them more than the gifts sometimes 🙂

  60. What a genius invention! Lawn Fawn has the best interactive dies on the market! This one could be used for all occasions. I’m definitely adding it to my wish list!

  61. What a fun interactive die! I think this die would be so fun on or in birthday cards! I am so glad to hear Kelly and the team on the mend, pneumonia is no joke!

  62. I would prob use it for Christmas cards right now but could definitely use it for many different occasions!

  63. These are some great ideas….what comes to mind is some of the critters playing in autumn leaves. I would like to play around with it for a while to let the ideas flow.

  64. So glad Kelly is feeling better! I would use this set for birthday cards for sure, but it would be fun to experiment with other ideas too.

  65. Seriously LF makes the BEST interactive dies! SO FUN! I would use the Ho Ho Holidays set and have Santa popping up!

  66. I would swivel All. The. Things. I’m looking forward to watching the video to see how this is assembled and how some of the samples look in action.

  67. Happy to hear Kelly is on the mend! This is such a fun die- birthday and Halloween cards would be first up with it!

  68. This is just too cute! Definitely something Fall related, or would somehow work it into the Dim Sum for Everyone set.

  69. Happy that Kelly Marie is feeling better but hope she’s not overdoing! Love all the samples and looking forward to the video, I need to make a housewarming card so that’s what comes to mind!

  70. I’ll be honest, I don’t plan on using this interactive die. I think the end result is very cute, but I know I don’t usually spend the time to use interactive dies.

  71. the swivel set is great for any type of card- I need to add some birthday cards to my stash, so I would use it for some birthday cards.

  72. I would use it for a birthday card. I’m glad Kelly and others are feeling better. I’m excited to see the intro videos.

  73. Oh my goodness so many thoughts of how to use this new interactive swivel card! My first pick is an ocean themed one with the scuba diver in a round port hole with fish and other creatures all around!

  74. The first thing that came to my mind was the bun in the oven set, oven outside and bun inside or the toaster set with the toaster outside and the pastries or waffles inside. I like the outside having the big sayings and inside the critters instead of creating a complete full scene outside. I’m also thinking the before n’afters sets would fit great with this.

  75. I would make birthday cards… I think giving someone an amazing interactive card makes them feel special. I love that Lawn Fawn makes that so much easier to do.

  76. Besides using it for pretty much any kind of card, I think I’ll be excited to do my first one as a birthday card 🙂 This looks like such a fun interactive card! Can’t wait for the release 🙂

  77. I’m thinking you might be able to make the circle part into snow globe shaker so when it swivels open it creates a snowfall???

  78. What fun interactive cards! Love this fantastic Swivel Surprise die set!
Since it’s starting to feel like fall here in northern CA, I’d make some fun Halloween cards! Can’t wait to see the video!

  79. Wow! This die will make explosive birthday cards: just fun! And my best friend just had a horrible day, but I bet a card using this set might cheer her up! Yes, I’m certain of it!

  80. Looking forward to the video. I make so many cards, I’d try with all of them. Great for a birthday surprise!

  81. Oh my goodness, what a great interactive die! I think this would be just such a fun explosion of balloons for a birthday card, or maybe a wreath for Christmas greetings! Lawn Fawn is so innovative with their interactive dies! Thank you for a super special release week!

  82. The swivel surprise die set presents so many options; perfect for the holidays (and every occasion in between).

  83. I’m always making Birthday cards but Christmas is next on my list. A wreath inside would be pretty. I can think of ways to add it to any occasion.

  84. I would use this new interactive swivel surprise for a musical themed card and mix in images from Critter Concert and maybe Little Music notes.

Glad to know Kelly is feeling better. Take it easy!!

  85. I want to use this to make an outer space themed cards and fun swiveling holiday wreaths. I think this is such a fun interactive die!

  86. I have some young friends for whom EVERY card must be interactive. I’m tired of doing the same old thing, so this will be something new and exciting!

  87. I LOVE all of my LF interactive dies and this one is just as amazing. I would use it to create Christmas cards and then birthday ones.

  88. This so fun! I love it with the sunflower or another larger flower like the happy hibiscus. I think I’ll use it most for sentiments.

  89. I’d like to make Christmas cards with a snowy scene in the middle and Santa’s sleigh going around the edge!

Spiders crawling around a web and ants marching around a chewn leaf will be cute as well!

  90. Oh boy, there are so many fun themed cards to be made with this amazing set…Halloween, Christmas, birthdays , the list goes on and on.

  91. I’m so overwhelmed with excitement for this fun die that I can’t focus on one idea. Probably something Halloween, maybe with the spooky kitties first.

  92. I love the interactive dies and swivel surprise does not disappoint! I mostly make birthday, Christmas and thank you cards and can see myself using this one a lot!

Glad to hear Kelly Marie is feeling better. I had pneumonia a few years ago and it really “knocked me out”. Looking forward to seeing the intro videos as they become available.

  93. I haven’t used many of the interactives, but I really do like the first card with the spider web and Halloween theme.

  94. I’m thinking that Happy Birthday or Merry Christmas swiveling up would be a good use of this Lawn Cut. So glad Kelly Marie is on the mend. It is hard to make a video when you are coughing and have zero energy. I’ve had pneumonia twice so I know!

  95. I love all of your interactive dies and this swivel die will be so much fun! Even though I don’t generally make Halloween cards, I think it would be cute to have plain pumpkins on the front of a card and then a carved pumpkin on the swivel, with a big “TA-DA”.

  96. Loving this Swivel Surprise interactive die set! Would love to use it for interactive cards for birthdays, weddings, just because, holidays, all occasions!

    1. Glad to hear you’re feeling better! It would be fun for any kind of special occasion. Like a birthday card with a critter holding balloons or a cupcake or a very special thank you card with a critter holding a bunch of flowers.

  101. I think you can use the swivel die for any theme! I’d probably use it for a fall card because I adore all things fall! Looking forward to the intro video and all the new things.

  102. I enjoy giving interactive cards to people that really appreciate them, so I would use this for those extra special occasions.

  103. You know what, I’ve been thinking about this, I’ve read a lot of the comments, and I think I’d like to use the swivel die on a get well card! Wouldn’t it be cute to have the bowl of soup on the inside? Or just a fun get well sentiment (unless one is using the huge get well sentiment on the outside of course). Of course it can be used for any number of occasions, but because it is sure to bring a smile to the recipient’s face, a get well card seems like a good idea to me (in addition to what everyone else has already suggested)!

  104. The Feliz Navidad card totally piqued my interest in this new interactive die! I will be using this for Halloween and Christmas cards!!

  105. Great for anniversaries, birthdays, all holiday celebrations, babies and baby reveals, plus anytime you want to surprise someone.

  106. Eeek! Lawn Fawn has the best interactive dies! I can’t wait to see the video for this set! I think it would be so cute to use some acetate and the Dandy Day set to have the mice floating through the air.

  107. I would have to think about it and see how it works. It would depend on how thick it makes the card, our post office is really picky on the thickness of the cards?

  108. I would use the swivel surprise as a birthday patty invitation! This die seems like so much fun! Can’t wait for the video to see it in action!

  109. I would use it to make birthday, thank you, any Holiday card. I think it could be used to make a card for any occasion.

  110. I already made a card with a mechanism like that with the Just Plane Awesome mice and am so looking forward to not having to measure and figure out everything by myself again! I have so many ideas – rotating stars around a christmas scene, confetti or balloons on a birthday card, reindeer in the sky… Can’t wait to play with this set!

  111. I love coffee cards so much so I would have to definitely make a coffee card with the swivel surprise like the one Grace made that was so fabulous.

  112. A great way I would use the swivel surprise would be to make a sympathy or get well card. On the inside top circle I would add a sunshine, and I would include a rainbow on the large ring. The front of the card would have the rain clouds and rain.

  113. I think this would be adorable for a get well card. Maybe have a stamp of a bouquet of flowers popping up inside the card.

  114. I love products that can be used for any occasion! I would use interactive surprise mostly for birthday and baby cards.

  115. I love this interactive die!! I have been wanting to spice up the inside of my cards and this will definitely do the job!!

  116. Oh I think birthday cards first and then on to everything else! I’m excited to try out this new interactive die!

  117. Love this new interactive die! I would use any and all of my Lawn Fawn stamps with this! Especially for bday cards 😊

  118. Love this new Swivel Surprise due! I would use it for birthday cards! Or for a baby announcement! So many options! Halloween would be fun with a ghost popping out!

  119. the cheesy mice are the cutest.. so excited to see these other new sets for coffee and the frosty friends.
thanks for the video. so fun to hear Kelly and glad she is on the mend! such a great week!!!!

  120. Glad you’re feeling better, Kelly! LF makes the best interactive dies and the swivel surprise is top notch! I have Fall cards on my mind currently so I think I’d use this die with the Happy Harvest stamp set – and maybe even add the girl scarecrow from the new stamp set! This new die set can be used for all.the.things!

  121. I would have to use it with the shooting stars set. It would look incredible with the stars flying across the top!

  122. Omg I just got done watching the intro video to the swivel surprise die. It is so cool. I’m in awe of the cards that were made from it…they were all so beautiful. It’s such a versatile die…I would use it all year long. Whether it be fall, winter, spring, and summer.

  123. Great to hear Kelly is feeling better! Great inspiration! I’d use it for everything! Lol! But the book critters will be first in line then Halloween. Thank you for all the new goodies!

  124. I would probably make some birthday cards for my preschool students. I’m not sure what sets I would use. I need to watch the video to see how this works.

  125. I’ve made a space themed card like this and loved it. Having the swivel surprise die will be soooo much easier 😀
