Hello!! It’s Fawny Flickr Friday! We love seeing all of the cards popping up in the
Lawn Fawn Flickr group. Make sure you keep adding your projects! You guys are so amazing!!
Today is extra special and we picked *pink* cards for the occasion.
I lost my beloved grandmother to this disease and my mom is a two time SURVIVOR. Super hero is more like it, actually.
Why Y-ME?
We all really believe in what
Y-ME does for women with breast cancer today at Lawn Fawn. This week isn’t just about donating but also raising awareness about what Y-ME can provide and reminders to go to checkups and do self exams. These things are so important!
Here is a blurb from Y-ME’s site:
At the heart of Y-ME National Breast Cancer Organization™ is the YourShoes® 24/7 Breast Cancer Support Center, the only place in the world where someone can call – 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year – and talk to a breast cancer survivor and be understood in 150 languages.
Peer support is the cornerstone of Y-ME. We are survivors who have been in “YourShoes” and are here day and night. We cry with you; we laugh with you; we help you figure out what questions to ask your doctor; we can give you a wig or prosthesis. We provide breast cancer support today.
We are needed now more than ever. Despite advances in breast cancer research and treatment, there is still no substitute for talking to someone who’s been in ‘your shoes’ after a doctor tells you that you have cancer.
Briefly known as Breast Cancer Network of Strength®, Y-ME is a Chicago-based national nonprofit founded in 1978 with the mission to ensure, through information, empowerment and peer support, that no one faces breast cancer alone.
Isn’t this absolutely amazing? Never facing breast cancer alone. We love what Y-ME stands for, so help us help them, and make purchases at
www.lawnfawn.com from May 1st to May 7th as we lead up to Mother’s Day. We can’t wait to give to this wonderful cause!
Now, let’s be inspired by some amazing pink cards!
Absolutely amazing! Just WOW!
Make sure to add your cards to the Flickr group this next week. 🙂 We will pick another five next Friday!
