Lawn Fawn Video {4.25.24} Mindy’s Cute Garden Snail Slider Card

Mindy is here to inspire us with an adorable slider card featuring Garden Snail! You can watch the video tutorial below or click HERE to watch at our YouTube channel.

Thank you so much for watching!

Mindy shows us how she cut the Garden Snail pieces from white cardstock before coloring them with ink blending. I love the cute, dotted detail she added to the snail. Then she paper-pieced the snail and grass in a black outline with the help of double-sided adhesive sheets.

For the background, Mindy started with Mermaid cardstock, stenciling the Cloud Background with Merman ink. She also inked a panel for the ground with Distress Oxide in Antique Linen and Gathered Twigs. Then she included clouds from All the Clouds and a little All the Speech Bubbles greeting!

She had a little trouble with the slider in the video and suggests that watching the Intro to Slide on Over would be helpful. Here’s a slider tip: if using 3 layers of foam on the slider piece, you will also need 3 layers of foam to attach the card front to the base. And another tip: using a bit of anti-static powder on the edges of the foam on the slider piece will cut down on any stickiness.

Such a fun and happy way to send a smile! Thank you so much for sharing with us, Mindy!

Karin’s Sweet Elephant Parade Baby Cards

Hay There! We can hardly contain our excitement! Our new Fall & Winter 2023 Release is coming soon! Inspiration & Release Week starts on August 16th with the Big Giveaway! Then we will begin introducing new Fall products on the 17th. Click HERE for a fun sneak peek!

Karin joins us again today to share a pair of adorable welcome baby cards! Her simple design is so sweet!

Karin started her card with a white cardbase on which she stamped the sentiment in Black Licorice ink. She cut another white cardstock panel and stamped the Elephant Parade Add-On image. Next, she cut a mask from a full-stick Post-It note to mask the elephant and balloon before inking the background. Then while the mask is still in place, she stenciled the Cloud Background and added some white splatters.

Finally, she removed the masks and colored the stamped images with Copic markers. Then she popped up the inked and colored panel with foam on the cardbase.

Thanks so much for this sweet and lovely inspiration, Karin!

Samantha’s “thrilling” amusement park themed birthday card has a fun hidden surprise thanks to the Flippy Flappy die set! I love how she colored all the Wheely Great Day and Coaster Critters images with a rainbow color scheme! And the Sunray stenciled background with stenciled clouds is so cool!

When you pull the Flippy Flappy tab, the tickets pop-up and there’s a bonus scene as well! So much fun!
