Today is our showcase of “Critters in the Forest”. This 4″ x 6″ set is the next installment in our popular Critters series! You are going to love these guys as much as you love the sea, snow and ‘burbs Critters! The design team has made the most amazing samples! I also have a little video on the bottom showcasing some fun ways of using this set!

Remember to click on the person’s name or card to see all of the details and leave these wonderful DT girls some comment love! πŸ™‚

NICHOL IMG_2778
Nichol‘s card combines Critters in the Forest and Hello Friend so perfectly! I absolutely adore her coloring and the googly eyes are perfect! Those eyelashes crack me up! All of the dimension is so wonderful! I really feel like I am hanging out in the forest with the critters! πŸ™‚
CHAN crittersintheforest1
Chan‘s card is ultra cool! How awesome are those white logs in the background?! I can’t wait to make log patterned paper now :). I love the bird getting a ride from the raccoon. It is just so sweet and a perfect card for a friend who has helped you out!
LATISHA LawnFawn-crittersforest-latishayoast
Latisha has used all of the scene building elements from the set to create this adorable card! I love that the “pine for you” sentiment can work with the pine tree and the log. This is just too cute! I also adore the white on white with the die cut and the top part of the card. Amazing!
LEA CrittersintheForest-LeaLawson
Lea‘s card is paper piecing perfection! I adore all of the patterns she has going on here! The three layered tree is awesome, and I adore the polka dotted fox! She’s adorable! I also love how she added the leaves to the log. Lea shows us that this set is perfect for coloring or paper piecing! πŸ™‚
TIFF IMG_2098_edited-1
Tiffany‘s layout is stunning! She has seemlessly integrated her stamped and cut out images along with other fun embellishments. This really shows that stamped and cut out images work so well as embellishments. They look like the store bought ones and can be perfectly coordinated to match a layout, too! These forest critters are just perfect for boy and masculine projects. I love that!
TERI LF_Forest_Foxy_teri
Teri‘s card is so cool! How brilliant is it to use the Say Cheese polaroid as the card shape? I love that! She created a cute scene, and I love the dragonfly twine trail! The bow on the fox is beyond adorable! I also love the blue edging on the polaroid. It really makes it look more white and is such a cool accent!

Lynnette‘s card is so fun! I adore those woodgrain circles and the way she added different tiny elements from the set to those circles. This is just a cool card layout. I’m filing it away in my head right now! I also love her woodsy color scheme with bright pops of colors from the mushrooms. So fun!

JULIE Hats Off to You
Julie‘s card is so clever! I adore how she combined the mortar board from Hats Off to You with the owl from Critters in the Forest. So perfect for a graduate with the “wise owl” idea. Don’t you want to ask him how many licks it takes to get to the center of a Tootsie Pop? Hehe! The stiching is so perfect and I adore the way the sentiment is highlighted!
MARIANA LF_mgrigsby41a
Mariana‘s card is patterned perfection! I just love the mix of the gingham fox with the flowered patterned paper! So perfect! So springy! It is such a great idea to add paper pierced holes for the dragonfly trail. This is just adorable, and I love the smaller scale of the card!

Make sure you click on each of the design team’s names or pictures to go to their blogs and see the details of how they made their cards. You will walk away inspired for sure!

Now, I have a little video for you showing this set in action and some fun things you can do with it. I hope you enjoy it! Watch it below or at You Tube.

Friends and flowers

Hi! Today I have a super quick card made from layout leftovers! I made this layout with the paper pieced lanterns, which left me with some paper to use up, and I had Studio Calico Metropolitan kit goodies to go with it! Here’s what happened in the quick 5 minutes I had to spare!

DSC_0132

This card is 2.25″ x 5.5″ which means it’s a card front folded in half. Do you ever have those card fronts left over? This is the perfect mini card way to use them, and it still fits in a standard envelope :). I inked up the edges of the card base and the patterned paper. I punched a quick border, added some flowers and some twine and then stamped this sweet sentiment from Hello Friend!

Quick and easy and I got to use up scraps and kit club goodies! Perfect for a busy Monday night!

Also, did you see that we are at Two Peas in a Bucket now? If you have a gallery there, we would love it if you could relate your card to the stamps! I think people would love to be inspired by your projects!
Hugs to you all! πŸ™‚
