First Saturday with Megan {1.2.21} S’more Fun with Friends

Hello and happy First Saturday with Megan in 2021! Today she shares a clever pull-tab card with our friendly bears!

To start this fun scene, Megan created layers using Stitched Hillside Borders and Simple Stitched Hillside Borders. She cut them and the card base from Bristol cardstock and used Distress Oxide ink to add the vibrant color! Check out the supply for the colors she used.

She stamped, colored and die cut images from Den Sweet Den, Snow Much Fun, Happy Village (cabin) and Yeti or Not (trees). She also used the cute s’mores images from the S’more the Merrier collaboration set with Ellen Hutson.

This interactive card uses the Waving Pull-Tab Starter Set to make the little Snow Much Fun bear pop out from behind the large bear!

Here, Megan shows the three layers she used to construct the pull tab scene. Be sure to check out the Waving Pull-Tab Starter Set video to learn how to use this versatile die set. Click HERE to watch.

Thank you so much for sharing this delightful inspiration with us, Megan!

Grace’s Fun Interactive Slider Cards

Just 2 more days before we kick off Fall & Winter 2020 Inspiration and Release Week! Woohoo! Join us for the Big Giveaway Post this Wednesday!

Today we have a super cute and fun interactive card design with Grace! It’s a perfectly clever way to hide a gift card or a message!

Grace made one card to conceal a gift card to send sweet thoughts to a friend and another to wish a happy birthday! Both cards feature our cute fox and bear friends! Be sure to check out the instructions in the photos at the end of this post.

For the birthday card, Grace used the Really High Five set along with A Bug Deal and Unicorn Picnic for the cute grasshopper and cake slice.

As the recipient slides the panel up the birthday greeting is revealed on the panel and underneath the flap! At the same time, the fox, bear and balloon scene stands up! Grace used acetate between the balloons to look like the confetti is floating in the air!

This sweet card features the Butterfly Kisses fox and bear! The butterflies are mounted on acetate so they can “fly” when the panel slides up!

Grace stamped a message under the place where the gift card hides! She also stamped the word “slide” from the Push Here set so the recipient knows that this is a special design!

Grace started by die cutting 2 of the largest Outside In Stitched Rectangles. With one of them, she laid it landscape and cut the largest Lift the Flap in the center, then she scored the flap as in the photo. She cut a tab in the top using the Let’s Toast Pull Tab Add-On.

Grace turned the second panel to portrait orientation and cut it to 3 1/4″.

To attach the sliding panel, Grace added 1/4″ double-sided tape just below the bottom scored line. Then she put foam tape around the flap to attach to the card base.

Thank you so much for sharing this your brilliant design with us today, Grace!

First Saturday with Megan {1.4.20} A Whimsical Light Up Card!

It’s the first Saturday of 2020 and Megan is here to bring some awesome inspiration! Her whimsical card design lights up with the help of a Chibitronics Starter Kit!

How cute is this scene featuring our Yeti or Not critters taking care of some correspondence in their open-air office! This is just so clever and that adorable red desk lamp has a little surprise!

When you push the heart, the desk lamp from You’re Just My Type lights up so the yeti can keep typing sweet little love notes 24/7! To create the beam of light, Megan die cut vellum using the Sunray Backdrop. She added yellow alcohol marker to one of the cut out pieces to place under the lamp! Check out the supply list below for a complete list of all the stamps and dies that Megan used on this amazing papercraft composition!

Thank you so much, Megan, for sharing your awesome creativity with us today!
