Jenn’s Rainbow Thank You Card!

Jenn joins us today to share a fun thank you card in happy rainbow colors to brighten up the middle of your week!

Jenn stamped the cute little bugs from A Bug Deal with Lawn Fawn Jet Black Ink and colored them in bright rainbow colors with Copic markers.

She used Distress Watercolor paper to die cut the letters from Finley’s ABCs and the Heart Stackable. Then she water-colored them using Distress Ink in Picked Raspberry, Spiced Marmalade, Mustard Seed, Twisted Citron, Peacock Feathers and Seedless Preserves to continue the rainbow theme!

She used Really Rainbow True Blue paper as the background and stamped her greeting from Simply Sentiments! She used a combination of Glue Tube and foam adhesive to assemble all the colorful elements.

Thank you so much, Jenn for sharing this happy card design with us today!

Caly’s Mostly Dies Pull Tab Card!

We would like to introduce Caly Person as a new Lawn Fawn blog contributor! We are so happy that she will be sharing her amazing inspiration with us! Let’s let her tell you about this beautiful interactive card!

Hi Friends! This is Caly, and I’m so excited to be here today! I’m sharing a pull-tab card made using the Happy Mail die set. The grass is die-cut from Simple Grassy Hillsides. Aside from the sentiment, everything is die-cut! Sometimes, the most fun cards are made with only dies!

I started by die-cutting the pieces in various colors of cardstock (brown Woodgrain, Chili Pepper, Ballet Slippers, Cilantro, and Fog). To add dimension, I also ink-blended the pieces with a darker color of Distress Oxide Ink (Mowed Lawn, Hickory Smoke, and Worn Lipstick).

I ink-blended my background using Distress Oxide ink in Peacock Feathers, Tumbled Glass, and Cracked Pistachio. I figured out the placement of my mailbox before die-cutting the Let’s Toast Pull Tab Add-on so that my envelope can slide in and out of the mailbox. I even added a brad so that the mailbox flag could move up and down. I had to die-cut the pull tab slit inside my mailbox before adhering it in place and attaching the mechanism and other die-cut elements.

My sentiment is stamped and embossed using the Simply Sentiments stamp set. I cut a fishtail after trimming my sentiment. I also die-cut the Scripty Hello from both black and white cardstock to create a drop shadow to help the word stand out more. The last thing I did was adhere the extra pink hearts all over.

Thank you so much for sharing with us today, Caly! I love this fantastic, mostly die cut card design!

A Sweet “Night Owls” Slumber Party with Elena!

August is the perfect month for a slumber party to say good-bye to summer and get ready for back to school! Elena‘s daughter was having a few friends spend the night so she designed this adorable “Night Owls” party decor to make the occasion super special!

These cute “night owls” are at home in this starry forest setting, right down to the cabin in the woods party favors! The garlands of Outside In Stitched Stars and Stitched Star Frames add to the starry night theme. As always, Elena’s party decor gets every detail just right!

For the simple banner, Elena combined Stitched Party Banners with Snowy Backdrop!

These yummy cupcakes are theme-ready with cute toppers featuring the Critters in the Forest tree and the baby owl from Mom + Me! The moon is found in Spooktacular! She added a Scalloped Cupcake Wrapper cut from Knock on Wood paper as the perfect little finish!

These sleepy owls are from Critters in the Arctic and they are perched on the log from Critters in the Forest! Such adorable detail to bring the theme to the beverage bottles!

Elena created a sweet sign to convey the theme of the slumber party: Night Owls! She spelled it out using Cole’s ABCs and a couple of stamps from Simply Sentiments! The background has the same starry sky as the banner!

A cute and colorful Scalloped Treat Box becomes a fun cabin in the woods with the help of Winter House Add-On and Spring House Add-On!

The tiny stars sprinkled on the cupcakes are another great detail that brings this party theme to life!

Thank you so much, Elena, for sharing your clever and unique party ideas!
