Lawn Fawn + Xyron Week – Day 4

We are so excited to be collaborating with our friends at Xyron this week! Their products include the multi-use Creative Station, Sticker Makers and awesome scrapbook and craft adhesives! Our Design Team has some fabulous projects to share this week. Please check out the Xyron Facebook page to see projects by their talented Design Team!

Today we have a video tutorial by our newest collaborator, Mindy! She shows how she used alcohol ink and Yupo paper to make gorgeous ocean backgrounds! Then she created two fabulous window cards using Porthole Frames and lots of fun ocean themed sets! You can watch the video below or click HERE to watch it at our YouTube channel.

Thanks so much for watching!

The alcohol ink backgrounds look amazing through the window created with Porthole Frames! I love the shiny gold from heat embossing the frames with our Gold Embossing Powder!

Stitched Woodgrain Backdrop adds lots of great texture to the Paper Bag cardstock panel!

Mindy used the Xyron Create a Sticker tool to add adhesive to the entire back of the window panel so the adhesive won’t be visible through the acetate! Such a handy product! Then she used the small Sticker Maker to make it easy to attach the cute sea critters from You Are Sublime, So Jelly and Duh-nuh!

It’s easy to make 2 amazing cards with the same elements! Mindy made one portrait and one landscape and added different sentiments from Simply Sentiments!

Chari‘s You Are Sublime yellow submarine shaker card is just so much colorful fun! I love the sparkle of the Stitched Rectangle Frame die cut from glittery paper! Really Rainbow paper adds the happy color to the background! She used Xyron’s Mega Runner to attach the color layer to the card base!

Chari used the Xyron Tape Runner to build up rainbow layers of cardstock frames to create height for the shaker! That’s such a cool detail! She filled her shaker window with Dress My Craft Crystal Ice Cubes. She finished off this cute card design with seaweed made from Large Wreath dies and a fun greeting from Chit Chat!

Nicole‘s sweet Plane and Simple card design includes a fun Outside In Stitched Cloud Stackables window! I love the stamped background and the peek at the Really Rainbow paper inside the window! She attached all the elements using the Tape Runner by Xyron!

Be sure to join us all week for more of our hop with Xyron! And don’t forget to visit the Xyron Facebook page to see their awesome projects! They are so fun and creative!

Layton’s Legacy Card Drive and Fundraiser Blog Hop

I am so happy to join my friend and former design team member Lea Lawson for this special blog hop and fundraiser! You can read Lea’s story at her blog Here. Lawn Fawn is honored to be joining in with this wonderful group of sponsors to support Layton’s Legacy YouCaring Fundraiser for NICU parents.

WAYS YOU CAN HELP:

1. DONATE! – directly to Layton’s Legacy YouCaring Fundraiser. For every $5 donated, you will be entered into the drawing for one of the prizes above!! All winners will be drawn from donations made thru the YouCaring Site. **Prizes will be drawn and announced on Lea’s blog on Saturday, May 19th.**
2. SHARE! – I know that not everyone is able to donate, but sharing about the fundraiser gives it more visibility! Please feel free to share the YouCaring Link or this post on all your social media outlets!
3. SHOP!
-Pinkfresh Studio will be donating 10% of TODAY’S sales.
-CAS-ual Fridays Stamps will be donating 15% of their sales thru May 19th.
-Lea’s blog affiliate linking dollars will be donated thru May 19th.
4. CREATE! – this is also a card drive, and if you’d like to create a card using the theme/moodboard below, I would love that! I will be including these handmade treasures with the giftcards when I hand them over to the NICU social worker, and my dream is that the NICU will be covered in beautiful creations inspired by Layton!! Link them up HERE, and then please email me (lea@lealawsoncreates.com) to get the address for sending – and note that I will need them to arrive by May 31st.

BLOG HOP

Not only is this a fundraiser, but also a super inspiring blog hop with MANY stops along the way! As you hop along, you will see amazing cards created with a very special theme. Lea created this mountain-themed mood-board when she started planning Layton’s nursery, it has a special place in her heart.

Our Fawnie friend, Lynette, has created a special card just for today’s blog hop! She was inspired by the cute woodland animal stuffies and the beautiful color palette to make a sweet card with an encouraging message and a pocket to hold a gift card!

Lynette’s sunny “thinking of you” card combines Woodland Critter Huggers and Little Flowers dies along with Pumpkin Spice and Simply Sentiments stamps!

The Stitched Gift Card Pocket holds a thoughtful gift inside!

Now on to the blog hop info – here is a link list with all of the stops along the hop! Please be sure to leave some love for the thoughtfulness & generosity that these companies, stores & designers have shown for this Card Drive & Fundraising effort. We are so thankful to be a part of this awesome caring group.

Thank you SO much for being part of Layton’s Legacy Card Drive & Fundraiser! We can’t wait to see the impact we can make on the lives of NICU parents. Your next stop is Lil’ Inker Designs!
