A Clever 40th Birthday Celebration with Elena!

Join us this Wednesday for our Big Giveaway Post and the start of another amazing Inspiration Week! We will be showcasing more of our Fall/Winter Release with awesome Design Team samples, Intro Videos and lots of giveaways! We can’t wait!

Elena shares a clever and creative party idea for a 40th birthday celebration! A fun color combo of black, white, kraft and gold along with simple to make decor this is a perfect way to celebrate the guy in your life!

I love the pair of frames with photos of the guest of honor hanging on clothespins! They look great flanking the dessert buffet!

Elena die cut Stitched Party Banners from White, Black Licorice and Kraft craft cardstock and a fun black and white gingham paper to make the festive banner!

The yummy cupcakes get dressed up for the party with our Stitched Scalloped Cupcake Wrapper and toppers made with Everyday Sentiment Banners and Extra Sentiment Banners!

The dessert table cards leave no doubt about the identity of the birthday boy! Elena layered 2 sizes of Stitched Square Stackables, one with the gingham pattern and one with a photo-shopped image of the guest of honor! She added a party hat from Hang in There and a speech bubble from A Birdie Told Me with a computer generated label.

The chocolate cake with Oreo frosting takes center stage on the dessert table!

Those S’mores Cookies look so yummy! The gingham pattern on the plate carries on the color theme!

This party looks like so much fun with so many delicious desserts and awesome DIY decorations! Thank you so much for sharing your hubby’s birthday party with us Elena!

Lizzy joins us today to share her beautiful Half Square Triangle Quilt block for cards using Perfectly Plaid paper. She has a video to show you how to re-create this lovely design for your cards! You can watch the video here or at our YouTube channel.

Thanks so much for watching!

The 12 x 12 papers in our Perfectly Plaid Collection are perfect to create a larger “quilt block” while the smaller pattern in the 6×6 Petite Paper pack is just right for a smaller design!

I love this wonderful quilted look that Lizzy created for these cards. It is the perfect design for a Mother’s Day card; especially if the special mom likes to sew and quilt! Scripty Mom and the sweet sentiment from Mom + Me look so lovely with the mini quilt block!

Thank you so much, Lizzy, for sharing these gorgeous cards with us today!

Lawn Fawn Video {2.4.16} A Valentine Shaker Card by Lizzy + Blog Hop

We are coming together with the crafting community for a blog hop to benefit a friend in need.
Ann Cox is a fellow card maker and a teacher.  She and her husband Kevin have been together for 20 years and have a little 2 year old boy named Liam.  Kevin is the primary caretaker for Liam while Ann teaches.  Recently, Kevin had to have triple bypass heart surgery, and he’s having trouble with his kidney (he donated the other to his father.)  This amazing family needs a little help to get through this hard time.  They have had to put Liam in childcare and they have medical expenses piling up.  The amazing Karen Kelly has set up a page to help raise funds for the family.
Please check out their GoFundMe page

If you are hopping, you may have arrived here from Susan Raihala’s blog and your next stop will be the blog of Kim Hall

Our thoughts and love go out to Ann and her family. We are sending them love and prayers.
In the spirit of the love we are sending them, we thought this Valentine’s project below fit well. We are sending love and hugs to Ann, Kevin and Liam!
