Hi there!

DSC_0408

Hi there! ๐Ÿ™‚ I hope you guys are doing well! Thank you so much for all of your excitement around the release! You guys are just so amazing!
I’ve got a fun end-of-Summer card for today. I used Teeny Tiny Backdrops for the background and Swimsuit Season paper pieced with some Basic Grey papers for the images. The “waves” are the upper crest Fiskars border punch. I just off set the crests!

Making this background was so fun! I just heart these hearts! ๐Ÿ™‚ I used a light orange dye ink and then antique linen Distress Ink on top of it so that the card stock wasn’t so bright. The distress look kind of matches the retro look of the bathing suit, I think! ๐Ÿ™‚ I used glossy accents in the flourishes on each side of the sentiment and on the flip flop straps and the crest waves. Once I start with the glossy accents, I can’t stop! Haha!

Okay, it is time for me to sleep. I am falling asleep 2 hours earlier than normal. I am exhausted, but I did have a wonderful night. I got to see Lynnette! She was in town for work, and it was so great to see her! I just love that girl! I brought my camera but forgot to take a photo :(. I guess that just means we have to see each other again soon! ๐Ÿ™‚

Card stock: Neenah
Patterned paper: Basic Grey

Ink: Memento, Stampin’ Up!, Distress Ink

Etc: Circle punch, upper crest Fiskars border punch, Glossy accents, foam inking tool
Thank you so much for visiting!
Have an amazing day,

Mariana‘s card is just too fun! I love the way she used textured paper to Copic color on for the fireplace. It really looks like brick! I can’t wait to try this! The way she held the stockings up with gems is just too cute! She put together the “merry” and the “Christmas” from the set for a classic sentiment! Putting black cardstock behind the fireplace is a great way to make it look more realistic too!

Latisha‘s card is just too cute, and her Copic coloring is superb!I love the way she has the “to santa” card hanging over the edge of the fire place! All of the piecing and foam adhesive she used make this card so realistic and fun! The twine on top is the perfect Christmas touch!

Teri‘s card is so wonderfully clean and striking! (That’s what I call CAS cards!) This would be such a great card style to make for your Christmas cards this year! The bows and the gems are too cute, and I love the way she put together the “cozy & bright” words together from the set. This card is just pure Christmas fun!

Danni‘s “cookies for Santa” ensemble is amazing!! I am still trying to figure out how she made that amazing bow! She stamped the “to santa” card from the set on it and then magically created it. That’s my explanation! Hehe! I am guessing she has a better one on her blog! I love the way she combined the stamps with chipboard pieces on the card. It really shows how you can use all of your Christmas product together! The string of lights at the top of the card is a great touch!

Lynnette‘s card is just wonderful! I love the rows of stockings on the twine. It would be really cute to put one for each member of your family! The buttons on the end are just brilliant, too! I love the way she used Copics to color the stockings to coordinate with the patterned paper. It looks absolutely perfect! She used the different sentiment words from the set to spell out “have a merry Christmas”. This is another great Christmas card idea! ๐Ÿ™‚

_MG_0168

Tiffany has made an amazing coordinating scrapbook layout and card! The images from the set are just perfect to scrap those photos of your kids/grandkids/nieces/nephews/godchildren (etc.) making cookies for Santa! She also incorporated some of the sentiment words from the set into her title and date. I love that! Her card is also just so much fun. She actually stamped and masked off the stockings and then stamped the fireplace! Brilliant! I love the Dear Lizzy pennant banner on top, too! The perfect Christmas touch!

Make sure you click on each of the design team’s names or pictures to go to their blogs and see the details of how they made their cards. You will walk away inspired for sure!

Now, I have a little video for you showing this set in action. I hope you enjoy it! Watch it below or at You Tube.
