Have an amazing day,

You’re the one for me

Hello! Today I have a layout I made for Nichol Magouirk‘s July Scrapbook Stamping class over at Two Peas in a Bucket! This month’s class is all about creating your own stamped backgrounds!

I had so much fun making this layout with a fun photobooth picture from a wedding! (I love these photos as favors! Too fun!) The hearts on top were done with Teeny Tiny Backdrops and Versamark ink. I love the tone on tone look for backgrounds that are not the main focus. I also used the same technique on the bottom of the layout, but this time I used the single camera stamp from Say Cheese, Too and repeated it for a fun pattern. I drew a pencil line to help me keep my first line of cameras straight. I erased it and was able to fill in the rest of my pattern with no problem!

The light blue paper was stamped with the ledger from Schoolhouse Backdrops in Versamark. I Distress Inked the edges for it to match the other papers. It was fun to make a custom patterned paper to match with a stamp!

The leafy pattern was created by repeating the long stamp from Blissful Botanicals. The trick I used to make it look like patterned paper was to make sure the pattern goes off the edges, then it looks like a  trimmed patterned paper piece! It was so fun to use this stamp because I was able to custom color it with Copics to match that gorgeous plaid Girls Paperie paper. I used a light grey Copic marker over the colors it for it to be more muted like the paper. I also Distress Inked the paper for it to match.
Lastly, I used Schoolhouse Backdrops for the lines in my journaling frame from Fanciful Frames, and I used a sentiment from Clear to See to finish up my journaling which was fun!

Make sure to go check out Nichol’s July Scrapbook Stamping class and play along!
