Mimi’s Ta-Da! Diorama! Celebrating the Year of the Dragon

Mimi created a totally brilliant Ta-Da! Diorama! card to celebrate the Lunar New Year which starts tomorrow! It’s the Year of the Dragon and Mimi hid a super cute dragon behind the Fancy Lattice Backdrop!

Mimi filled her creative design with many symbols of good luck for the new year. Gold coins, firecrackers and a plate of oranges decorate the card front with pretty flowers. Mimi loves to shop her stash to find clever ways to use what she has. Check out the list below for the sets she used for this card.

She cut the front panel of the Ta-Da! Diorama! with a Circle Stackable, then she used the Embroidery Hoop cut from Metallic Gold cardstock as a frame.

Mimi cut the Ta-Da! Diorama! and the Fancy Lattice Backdrop from Textured Canvas cardstock from the pink pack. The lattice looks so pretty framing the scene that is revealed when the diorama is opened!

Inside, Mimi featured the dragon from Dream Big with more coins and a bright red bag! She used Smitty’s ABCs to stamp the year, then she used a sentiment from Let’s Bokeh to wish a Happy New Year!

Here are the sets that Mimi used to make all the decorations:
Gold coins: circles from Bubbles of Joy and Let’s Bokeh, middle square is from Plan on It
Plate of oranges: large lily from Toadally Awesome, balloons from Yappy Birthday, leaves from Toucan Do It
Firecrackers: crayon from Color My World, rounded square is the pat of butter from Let’s Toast and the wick is from Mice on Ice
Flowers: Stinkin’ Cute, More Magic Messages
Bag: Ho-Ho-Holidays

I love this brilliant card, Mimi! Thank you so much for inspiring us today!
