These large-scale flower backdrops are perfect for the tiny insect friends from I Like Big Butterflies or A Bug Deal. Add color with colorful cardstock, markers or ink blending to create a beautiful card with big impact!

Design Team Inspiration

The design team has made the most amazing samples! We also have a video at the end showcasing some fun ways of using all these new goodies! Remember to click on the person’s name to see all of the details and then leave these wonderful DT girls some comment love!

Elena‘s Big Blossom Backdrop: Landscape design is so charming and sweet! She colored the flowers with alcohol markers before layering two sets of petals together to create fuller blossoms. They look so amazing against the Gleeful Gradients Northern Lights background. She finished her design with a pair of birds from Build-A-Bird Feeder, and a die cut sentiment from Magic Color Slider. You can also find the hello die in the Pull ‘n Slide Surprise Lawn Cuts set.

Latisha filled her Big Blossom Backdrop: Portrait design with extra blossoms for more beautiful color! She also added butterflies and a sentiment from I Like Big Butterflies to her design and it’s just so cute!

Caly‘s beautiful card shows how easy it is to create a shaker card with Big Blossom Backdrop! Just layer a panel of acetate behind the backdrop to create a window, then stack up a few Stitched Rectangle Frames to create the well for the shaker bits!

The little bees from Magic Iris Beehive Add-On are so cute buzzing around the blossoms on Megan‘s card! She created a sweet thank you card with Scripty Thanks and a sentiment from Thank Thanks Thanks!

Lynnette‘s cheery design is so pretty in pink! I love the pink flowers and the butterflies from Magic Iris Butterfly Wreath Add-On!

Audrey‘s Big Blossom Backdrop: Portrait card is so adorable with cute insect critters from I Like Big Butterflies and A Bug Deal!

Wow! Melissa‘s Big Blossoms Backdrop: Landscape card is so stunning! Those bright blossoms really stand out against the clear blue background! And the beautiful greeting from I Like Big Butterflies is so perfect!

Chari got so clever, taking the flowers, stems and leaves off the backdrop and adding them to an oval panel! She used Basket Weave Stencils to add pattern to a Stitched Oval before layering it on a Stitched Scalloped Oval! Then she embellished with little butterflies from Magic Iris Butterfly Wreath Add-On and Scripty Thinking of You!

I love how Elise used the Midday Skies pattern of Gleeful Gradients for her background! It looks so striking behind the pastel Big Blossoms Backdrop: Landscape flowers! And Scripty Thinking of You looks so amazing in Rose Gold Metallic cardstock on a neutral Scripty Thinking of You Outline Add-On!

Marine‘s pair of Big Blossom Backdrop cards are so gorgeous! She made one of each, portrait and landscape with a beautiful pink, orange, yellow and brown color palette! I love how she made the flowers look fuller by layering two shades of pink petals, so pretty!

For both cards, Marine added butterflies from Magic Iris Butterfly Wreath Add-On and a larger Layered Butterfly!

She used Blissful Blossoms petite paper in the background and then she stamped sentiments from Henry’s Build-A-Sentiment: Butterfly on a Raspberry Simple Wavy Banner.

Grace‘s Mother’s Day card is absolutely charming! She colored the Big Blossom Backdrop: Portrait to coordinate with the pretty purple Blissful Blossoms papers! And the cute Hive Five bees are so cute buzzing around the flowers! For the perfect finish she used the sweet mom and baby mole from A Mole Lot of Flowers!

  7. My favorite spring flowers are Lego flowers. hehehe. I always look forward to my Irises blooming around Easter. I got them from my grandma’s yard a long time ago.

  76. Tulips for the win! I grew up in cold, snowy WI. When the wide variety of colorful tulips finally bloomed (late, late May), it was a blessed relief that winter was finally over.

  112. Unpopular but I’d have to pick dandelions. They’re always reliable with their sunny little fuzzy faces! And then you get to make a wish! I love seeing fields and meadows sprinkled with them.

  132. My favorite Spring flowers are tulips and peonies! Add in some lilies of the valley and hyacinths and they all make a beautiful bouquet!

  135. I love this set! So many uses for those big beautiful flowers. It’s hard to pick a favorite flower but I do especially appreciate crocus’s as they are the first ones to pop up in Spring.

  149. My favorite spring flowers are hyacinths. I watch them slowly bloom in the garden. My grandmother planted them over 40 years ago, and the bulbs have multiplied and spread throughout the garden. They are incredibly fragrant.

  157. My favourite spring flowers are pink cherry blossoms. But I also love tulips because of how reliably they come back and what a big pop of colour they add to brighten my spring garden.

  168. To me, snowdrops are the ultimate spring flowers because they are the first ones to bloom. But I also love Forgetmenots and my absolute favorites are Meadowfoam. They bloom in our yard and I used to make a huge bouquet of these for my mom.

  169. I love Lilly of the Valley and all bulb flowers. I also love looking at the blossoms and buds on the trees in spring. 😊🪻🌱

  172. Lilies of the valley are my favorite, even though they’re too delicate to use as a cut flower and are not viable to plant since they’re invasive. But I think they’re beautiful and have a wonderful fragrance!!

  173. This is a tough one. If I have to choose, my favorite spring flowers are Ageratum floss flower. They are so fuzzy and cute looking.

  189. My favorite spring flowers are bright pink & coral colored peonies. They are so pretty just like these fun Big Blossom backdrops!

  190. My favorites are daffodils and tulips. I also like peonies but they’re full of ants (it’s how they are pollinated, so you kinda hafta put up w/ them) and I like azaleas but they don’t do well in a vase… I just love the fresh smell and cheerful yellow of the daffodils. The tulips come in SO many colors… I just adore the ones that are really tall (like my pink Guinevere ones).

    The designs I see from the DT are OUTSTANDINGLY BEAUTIFUL!!!!

  192. I think tulips will always be my fave, but daffs in my yard make me so happy! (and the deer don’t eat them!)

  226. My favorite spring flower is the daffodil. It is a simple, yet lovely harbinger of spring. They come out early, reminding us that spring is coming.

  227. We get a lot of tulips and daffodils because they are hardy in our cold and unpredictable springs but I miss the cherry blossoms back east or the azaleas down south!

  233. My favorite are daffodils because they are the flower for March (my birthday month) and the are the flower of Wales where my mother is from.

  247. Tulips and Daffodils. When I would see them start growing at my childhood house, I always knew spring had arrived.

  266. My favorite spring flowers are tulips and peonies. I have a beautiful peony bush in the front of my house that blooms with big, bright, hot pink blooms that are just gorgeous!

  283. It’s honestly hard to choose but I really like when all the cherry trees are blooming and I have a special place in my heart for crocus and snowdrops because are so small and delicate but also tough little flowers to push through the snow.
