Lawn Fawn Video {8.1.23} Mindy’s Stenciled and Stitched Star Card

Wow! Mindy gets a gold star for this beautifully stitched and stenciled card design! You can watch her video tutorial below or click HERE to watch at our YouTube channel.

Thank you so much for watching!

Mindy’s lovely design starts with stenciling with Lots of Stars Background Stencils. She used pretty Lawn Fawn inks to create a circular rainbow backdrop. Then she splattered with black ink to create a bold look!

Next, Mindy stitched up the Embroidery Hoop Star Add-On as a special focal point!

The 2-part sentiment from Sewn with Love is so perfect with Mindy’s star stitching!

I love this beautiful card so much! Thank you, Mindy for sharing another creative design with us today!

Embroidery Hoop Stitching Patterns with Chari

Hi Friends, it’s Chari! I am joining you today to share something new and exciting, Patterns for the Embroidery Hoop Lawn Cuts die! I know it can be intimidating to have a blank canvas for stitching. So I designed some patterns so you can get more use out of your Embroidery Hoop die. YAY!

Today I am introducing two patterns, Busy Bee and Honey Hive. These patterns coordinate with all of the bee themed products from the new mini release.

Busy Bee

First up is the Busy Bee pattern. I chose to stitch this cute bumblebee on Ballet Slipper cardstock.  If you prefer stitching all the squares, I added a color for that option in the pattern.

This cute pattern works so well with the new little bees from Hive Five! I also layered some pattern paper from the What’s Sewing On collection. It is always a good option on a card featuring hand stitching. The sentiment is a combination of stamps from Hive Five and Apple-solutely Awesome.

Honey Hive

Next, let me introduce the Honey Hive pattern. A fun background and a big bold sentiment are the perfect complements to this stitched design. I used Wild Honey and Rusty Hinge Distress Oxide inks to blend my background. Then I cut the Honeycomb Backdrop, layering it over Spiffy Speckles Ripe Banana paper.

I also love to mix stamped words with die cuts for a sentiment. Scripty Sweet was the perfect addition to create this sweet sentiment.

Each downloadable pattern page includes a chart with DMC colors listed. There is also a sample project featuring the stitched piece and a supply list for products used to create the card.

Both patterns shared today are now available for FREE at lawnfawn.com, click HERE!

I hope you are as excited about these patterns as I am. I can’t wait to share more designs in the future. Let me know in the comments if you are excited to stitch these new patterns. And share your ideas for future patterns. Until then, I can’t wait to see all the Busy Bees and Honey Hives you create!

Thanks so much for sharing these special designs, Chari!
